00:00Ooey gooey lemon squares are the easiest dessert you're going to make all summer.
00:03Starts out with boxed lemon cake mix.
00:05Two eggs, stick of butter, melt it, and a little lemon zest to amp up the lemon flavor.
00:09Give that a whisk and then spread it into your prepared pan.
00:12I've got mine lined with parchment paper and cooking spray.
00:15For the next layer, take softened cream cheese with a little more lemon zest,
00:18powdered sugar, one egg, and one egg yolk.
00:21Pour the cream cheese mixture over the first layer and pop it into the oven
00:24300 degrees for about 20 to 25 minutes.
00:26You want them to have a slight jiggle in the center.
00:29Hard part comes next.
00:30Waiting until they cool completely.
00:32They're like the Neiman Marcus bars, more fun friend.
00:34That luscious lemon layer literally melts in your mouth.
00:38They're a lot easier to make than lemon squares, but they're just as good.
00:41Maybe even better.
