00:14In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, peace be with you.
00:20We acknowledge our sins, we acknowledge more importantly the compassion, the mercy and the love of God.
00:29Lord, have mercy. Christ, have mercy. Lord, have mercy. May Almighty God have mercy on us, forgive us our sins
00:39and lead us into healing and life everlasting. Amen.
00:46Let us pray.
00:47O God, who to the grace of adoption chose us to be children of light, run, we pray, that we
00:54may not be wrapped in the darkness of error, but always be seen to stand in the bright side of
01:02your truth, who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, God, forever and ever. Amen.
01:11A reading from the prophet Amos.
01:17Amaziah, the priest of Bethel, sent word to Jeroboam, king of Israel, as follows.
01:25Amos is plotting against you in the heart of the house of Israel.
01:29The country can no longer tolerate what he keeps saying.
01:35For this is what he says.
01:38Jeroboam is going to die by the sword and Israel going to exile far from his country.
01:47To Amos, Azariah said,
01:50Go away, go away, get back to the land of Judah, earn your bread there, do your prophesying there.
02:01We want no more prophesying in Bethel.
02:05This is the royal sanctuary, the national temple.
02:11I was no prophet.
02:13Neither did I belong to any of the brotherhoods of prophets, Amos replied to Amaziah.
02:20I was a shepherd and looked after Sycamores.
02:25It was the Lord who took me from herding the flock.
02:29And the Lord who said,
02:31Go, prophesy to my people Israel.
02:35So listen to the word of the Lord.
02:38You say,
02:39Do not prophesy against Israel.
02:42Utter no oracles against the house of Isaac.
02:46Very well.
02:47This is what the Lord says.
02:48Your wife will be forced to go on the streets.
02:53Your sons and daughters will fall by the sword.
02:57Your land will be parceled out by measuring line.
03:02And you yourself die on unclean soil.
03:06And Israel will go into exile far distant from its own land.
03:13The word of the Lord.
03:15Thanks be to God.
03:17The judgments of the Lord are true and all of them just.
03:22The judgments of the Lord are true and all of them just.
03:27The law of the Lord is perfect.
03:30It revives the soul.
03:32The rule of the Lord is to be trusted.
03:34It gives wisdom to the simple.
03:38The judgments of the Lord are true and all of them just.
03:42The precepts of the Lord are right.
03:45They gladden the heart.
03:47The command of the Lord is clear.
03:49It gives light to the eyes.
03:51The judgments of the Lord are true and all of them just.
04:05The judgments of the Lord are true and all of them just.
04:11They are more to be desired than gold, than purest of gold.
04:16And sweeter are they than honey, than honey from the comb.
04:21The judgments of the Lord are true and all of them just.
04:27Alleluia, alleluia.
04:28Go, God was with in Christ to reconcile the wealth of himself.
04:33And the good news of reconciliation he has entrusted to us.
04:38Alleluia.
04:41The Lord be with you.
04:43A reading from the Holy Gospel according to Matthew.
04:46Glory to you, O Lord.
04:49Jesus got back in the boat, crossed the water, and came to his own town.
04:55Then some people appeared, bringing him a paralytic stretched out on a bed.
05:03Seeing their faith, Jesus said to the paralytic,
05:07Courage, my child, your sins are forgiven.
05:11And that this, some scribes said to themselves,
05:16This man is blaspheming.
05:18Knowing what was in their minds, Jesus said,
05:24Why do you have such wicked thoughts in your hearts?
05:28Now which of these is easier to say,
05:31Your sins are forgiven, or to say, Get up and walk?
05:36But to prove to you that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins,
05:41He said to the paralytic, Get up and pick up your bed and go home.
05:48And the men got up and went home.
05:51A feeling of awe came over the crowd when they saw this,
05:55And I praise God for giving such power to people.
06:01The Gospel of the Lord.
06:04Praise to you, Lord Jesus Christ.
06:09Jesus looked at the man's greatest need.
06:13Paralyzed as he was, he had an even greater need.
06:18And that is to be healed spiritually.
06:20For he seems to be forgiven, to be at right with God.
06:25And then of course he did actually heal him as well, physically.
06:29So, our greater need is always to be at harmony with God.
06:34And to keep saying to God, Your will be done.
06:38I trust you.
06:40I wish to do your will.
06:41Whatever circumstance we find ourselves in,
06:45God is there with us in that circumstance.
06:49And for us to keep uniting our heart with the heart of God,
06:53to vibrate with the rhythm of God's love in our heart.
07:08Blessed are you, Lord God of all creation.
07:10For to your goodness we have this bread to offer,
07:12which earth has given, human hands have made.
07:14It will become for us the bread of life.
07:17Blessed be God forever.
07:19Amen.
07:50Blessed be God forever.
08:05Let us pray, brothers and sisters,
08:07that my sacrifice and yours may be acceptable to God,
08:10our Almighty Father.
08:12May the Lord accept this sacrifice at our hands
08:15for the praise and glory of God's name,
08:17for our good and the good of God's Holy Church.
08:22O God, who graciously accomplishes the effects of your mysteries,
08:26grant, we pray, that the deeds by which we serve you
08:30may be worthy of these sacred gifts.
08:32Through Christ our Lord.
08:34Amen.
08:37The Lord be with you.
08:39Lift up your hearts.
08:42Let us give thanks to the Lord our God.
08:45It is truly right and just, our duty and our salvation,
08:49always and everywhere to give you thanks, Father most holy,
08:53to your beloved Son, Jesus Christ,
08:56your word to whom you made all things,
08:58whom you sent as our Saviour and Redeemer,
09:02incarnate by the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin.
09:06Fulfilling your will and gaining for you a holy people,
09:10he stretched out his hands as he endured his passion,
09:13so as to break the bonds of death and manifest the resurrection.
09:17And so, with the angels and all the saints,
09:20we declare your glory,
09:21as with one voice we acclaim,
09:24holy, holy, holy Lord,
09:27God of hosts,
09:28heaven and earth are full of your glory,
09:31Hosanna in the highest.
09:33Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord,
09:37Hosanna in the highest.
09:39You are indeed holy, O Lord,
09:41the fount of all holiness.
09:44Make holy, therefore, these gifts, we pray,
09:46by sending down your Spirit upon them like the dewfall,
09:50that day may become for us the body and blood of our Lord Jesus Christ.
09:55At the time he was betrayed and entered willingly into his passion,
10:00he took bread and giving thanks broke it
10:04and gave it to his disciples,
10:08saying,
10:09Take this, all of you, and eat of it,
10:11for this is my body which will be given up for you.
10:16Amen.
10:21In a similar way, when supper was ended,
10:25he took the chalice,
10:26and once more giving thanks,
10:29he gave it to his disciples,
10:32saying,
10:33Take this, all of you, and drink from it,
10:36for this is the chalice of my blood,
10:39the blood of the new and eternal covenant,
10:42which will be pulled out for you and for many
10:45for the forgiveness of sins.
10:48Do this in memory of me.
10:57The mystery of faith.
10:59When we eat this bread and drink this cup,
11:02we proclaim your death, O Lord,
11:05until you come again.
11:07Therefore, as we celebrate the memorial of his death and resurrection,
11:11we offer you, Lord, the bread of life and the chalice of salvation,
11:16giving thanks that you've held us worthy to be in your presence and minister to you.
11:22Humbly, we pray that, partaking of the body and blood of Christ,
11:26we may be gathered into one by the Holy Spirit.
11:29Remember, Lord, your church spread throughout the world
11:32and bring her to the fullness of charity,
11:35together with Leo, our Pope,
11:38meet your unworthy servant and all the clergy.
11:41Remember also our brothers and sisters
11:43who have fallen asleep in the hope of the resurrection
11:46and all who have died in your mercy.
11:50Welcome them into the light of your face.
11:53Have mercy on us all, we pray,
11:56that with the blessed Virgin Mary, Mother of God,
11:59blessed Joseph, her spouse,
12:01with the blessed apostles,
12:02and all the saints who have preached you throughout the ages,
12:06we may merit to be coerced to eternal life
12:10and may praise and glorify you
12:12through your Son, Jesus Christ.
12:17Through him and with him and in him,
12:20O God Almighty, Father,
12:21in the unity of the Holy Spirit,
12:23all glory and honour is yours
12:26for ever and ever.
12:28Amen.
12:30At the Saviour's command and formed by divine teaching,
12:33we dare to say,
12:35Our Father, who art in heaven,
12:37hallowed be thy name.
12:39Thy kingdom come,
12:40thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
12:44Give us this day our daily bread
12:46and forgive us our trespasses
12:48as we forgive those who trespass against us.
12:52And lead us not into temptation,
12:55but deliver us from evil.
12:57Deliver us, Lord, we pray,
12:58from every evil.
13:00Graciously grant peace in our days
13:02that by the help of your mercy
13:03we may be always free from sin
13:06and safe from all distress
13:07as we await the blessed hope
13:09and the coming of our Saviour,
13:11Jesus Christ.
13:13For the kingdom,
13:14the power and the glory are yours
13:16now and forever.
13:18Lord Jesus Christ,
13:20who said to your apostles,
13:21Peace I leave you,
13:23my peace I give you,
13:24look not on our sins
13:25but on the faith of your Church
13:27and graciously grant her peace
13:29and unity
13:30in accordance with your will
13:31who live and reign
13:33forever and ever.
13:34Amen.
13:35The peace of our Lord Jesus Christ
13:37be with you always.
13:38Let us offer each other
13:40a sign of peace.
13:41Peace be with you all.
13:44Lamb of God,
13:45you take away the sins of the world.
13:47have mercy on us.
13:49Lamb of God,
13:51you take away the sins of the world.
13:53Have mercy on us.
13:55Lamb of God,
13:57you take away the sins of the world.
13:59Grant us peace.
14:15Behold the Lamb of God,
14:16who takes away the sins of the world.
14:19Happy are those who are called
14:20to the supper of the Lamb.
14:22Lord, I am not worthy
14:23that you should enter under my roof,
14:25but only say the word
14:27and my soul shall be healed.
14:30My Jesus,
14:32I believe that you are present
14:33in the most blessed sacrament.
14:35I love you above all things
14:37and I desire to receive you
14:39into my soul.
14:40Since I cannot now
14:41receive you sacramentally,
14:43commonly, spiritually
14:44into my heart,
14:46I embrace you
14:47as if you were already there
14:48and unite myself wholly to you.
14:51Never permit me
14:53to be separated from you.
14:55Amen.
14:56Let us pray.
15:01May this divine sacrifice
15:03we have offered and received
15:04fill us with life,
15:06O Lord, we pray,
15:08so that bound to you
15:09in lasting charity
15:10we may bear fruit
15:12that lasts forever.
15:13Through Christ our Lord.
15:15Amen.
15:15The Lord be with you.
15:17And may the peace
15:18and the blessing
15:18of the Father and of the Son
15:20and of the Holy Spirit
15:21come upon you
15:22and remain always with you.

15:25and proclaim the gospel
15:27by our lives.
