00:15story coming in from Tamil Nadu, where the police claimed they busted a racket, an attempt
00:20to buy TVK MLA. Several people have been arrested. There's been a link drawn to the DMK as well,
00:28because one of the accused met with the former minister, Senthil Balaji's brother. What is the
00:33reality? What is the truth? What's emerged from the investigation? I'm getting you all of those
00:37details. We'll also be joined by Tamil Nadu minister, CTR Nirmal Kumar, here on this edition of Super 6.
00:42But also coming up on the show, we'll focus on what's happening in Andhra Pradesh, where you had
00:46former chief minister, Jagad Mohandredi, addressing a press conference, lashing out at the Naidu
00:51government over law and order, over the Amravati capital plan and so much more. So we'll get you
00:57to a sense of what really that political face-off and war of words is about. It's a direct head
01:01-on
01:01contest between Jagan and Chandr Babu Naidu. Also on the show, we've seen the second teaser of Yashir's
01:08upcoming film, Toxic, that's been released. And it's truly as toxic as it gets. Whether the first
01:14teaser, of course, was in the midst of a controversy, the second one is, if not as bad,
01:20worse, more shocking, really, in the kind of messaging and images involving women. We'll be
01:27getting you all of those details, those three stories, much more coming your way. We'll begin
01:31with the headlines.
01:36Insider nexus in donation counting scam accused revealed they exploited CCTV blind spots, confessed
01:44donation cash was hidden in a washroom and then taken out. Sources also say that the trust recovered

03:00Bro, Pakistan voices seek talks with Pakistan.
03:04117 Indians and Park citizens back what they call normal ties. Farooq, Mehbooba,
03:11RJD's Manoj Jha, the signatories, former Roth chief, ex-Mamta aide Humayun Singh also signed.
03:17Pakistan still shelters Mumbai and Pulwama attackers.
03:22So India's firm stand remains no talks and terror together.
03:28Alleged horse trading bid surfaces in Tamil Nadu after TVK MLA claims he was offered 35 crores to act in
03:35favor of DMK in the Assembly.
03:37Three accused arrested cops claim former DMK Minister Senthil Balaji's role.
03:56And we begin with the big update that's coming from Tamil Nadu.
04:00A number of arrests by the Chennai police has led to a racket being busted.
04:06Our leaders, in fact, of one particular group linked to the DMK went out and made an offer to TVK
04:15MLA,
04:15offering him 35 crores essentially, saying, switch over.
04:18During the Assembly, when we bring a no-conference motion, don't vote for the TVK, vote for the DMK.
04:24And they offered him 35 crores for that.
04:25He promptly went and filed a complaint leading to this racket being exposed.
04:29So who's linked to this?
04:32Allegedly, Senthil Balaji, former DMK minister.
04:35His brother, Ashok Kumar, is the one who was in touch with the accused.
04:39So was there an attempt to buy TVK MLAs, to buy their support?
04:44Because the TVK maintains that in the last two months, a handful of their MLAs have been receiving such offers.
04:51And they claim the rot runs deep, that it goes right up to the top as far as the DMK
04:55is concerned.
04:56How has the DMK responded?
04:57Remember that they've also complained, claiming horse trading, claiming an attempt to buy two of their MLAs by the TVK.
05:04So it's all going down right now in Tamil Nadu.
05:14Poaching, threats and a political slugfest.
05:17A fresh political storm has erupted in Tamil Nadu, with TVK and DMK accusing each other of approaching their MLAs
05:24with money and threats.
05:25Chief Minister Vijay's party has claimed that the DMK is trying to topple its government by luring its MLAs to
05:33its side.
05:35The Chennai police arrested three people, accusing them of attempting to poach and threaten a TVK MLA to act in
05:42the DMK's favour in the Assembly.
05:45According to the probe, TVK MLA and Ilayaraja was approached by pollster Tirunavakarasa.
05:52The pollster allegedly offered Rs. 35 crore to the TVK MLA and sought his support for a resolution against the
06:00Speaker.
06:01Ilayaraja rejected the offer and disconnected the call.
06:04Tirunavakarasa then allegedly threatened Ilayaraja and his family.
06:09The accused and his aides, Naresh and Tyagarajan, were arrested by the police.
06:15The probe has also claimed that former minister Senthilbalaji's brother met accused Naresh.
06:21Investigators further claim that Tirunavakarasa approached Ilayaraja at Senthilbalaji's behest.
06:28TVK came down heavily on the DMK over the alleged poaching bid.
06:36There are three people in the description of the description of the video.
07:11The DMK2 has levelled similar allegations against TVK.
07:16Stalin's party has sought a probe into the alleged horse trading attempts by TVK
07:20and submitted a complaint to the Tamil Nadu governor and the Vigilance Department,
07:26seeking the resignation of NFIR and probe into the alleged attempts of poaching by Chief Minister C. Joseph Vijay.
07:33Citing public remarks by MDMK leader, Vaiko, where he claimed that Vijay told him to persuade MLAs.
07:41We are in the Tamil Nadu, which is the most important thing to do in the Tamil Nadu.
07:53We are in the Tamil Nadu, which is the most important thing to do in the Tamil Nadu.
08:15Just days ago, Stalin had predicted that Assembly elections could be held within the next few months.
08:41Will a probe reveal the truth behind the horse trading allegations?
08:44With Pramod Madhav, Euroreport, India Today.
08:52And let me bring in on this broadcast now, CTR Nirmal Kumar, Tamil Nadu minister,
08:57who is joining us on this broadcast because there have been sensational allegations made right now, Mr. Nirmal Kumar.
09:03We know that several arrests have also been made, but what is the evidence, sir, of the role of the
09:09DMK in this?
09:14Because, see, no normal people can do this.
09:17Only a party like DMK or any other national party can do it.
09:21So, here we could, it was clear evidence, police have found the evidence and it has been linking to ex
09:26-minister Sandhil Balaji and his brother Ashok.
09:30And a very close age of Sandhil Balaji and his brother has been working on this.
09:34And, see, we have been, like, getting this news everywhere, like, someone is connecting us and someone is calling us
09:39and et cetera, et cetera.
09:40So, this has been happening for the last 40 days.
09:42And every president, I also used to mention that, like, even today, like, Stalin and NPR is trying to form
09:48the government with us by joining together.
09:52And since they don't have the proper numbers, they are trying to coach our MLAs and they have been connecting
09:58to everyone.
09:59And the price has started with some quantity close to, like, recently it was offered more than 50 groups.
10:05So, that was the message we have been getting randomly from most of our people.
10:09And I think one MLA was threatened by a few people a few days ago and he has given a
10:14complaint based on which police has done a thorough and thorough and thorough.
10:18When they were trying to connect with him and give the money, I don't know, if the inquiry gets completed,
10:25but definitely this is not the one incident.
10:27A lot of other places, it has been continuously happening.
10:31This is the reason, like, where Stalin started mentioning everywhere, like, this government will last only for 30 days, et
10:37cetera.
10:38So, definitely the reason behind this, Stalin is working out indirectly to form the government.
10:45But, sir, I want to understand from you, Mr. Nirmal Kumar, you are claiming that this is a big racket
10:50that's been exposed.
10:51But in the last few days, since now this has come to the fore, because of one TVK MLA speaking
10:57out, filing a complaint,
10:58how many of your MLA, sir, have received, have gotten such offers?
11:05The last 40 days, what I think is, the DMK High Command has given this assignment to two, three people
11:13like Sinderwaladji.
11:14And they have been trying with most of the MLA's with us.
11:17And a few, like, large business people also mentioned to us.
11:27So, we strongly condemn this act of MK Stalin, because the whole Tamil Nadu people, he has lost his own
11:35constituency,
11:35he has lost his own bank, he has lost in his own constituency.
11:39And still, he wanted to become, form the government indirectly.
11:46Sir, you are, you are constantly naming M.K. Stalin.
11:50So, you are suggesting that this is the DMK top leadership, first family,
11:55that Stalin himself is involved in this, in trying to buy your MLA's?
12:02No, no, see, without involvement of Stalin, without, like, High Command's blessing,
12:07or without instruction of High Command, no X and Y can do this.
12:10Because this needs a lot more traction, a lot more instruction, and a lot more higher level people need to
12:17instruct it.
12:18Randomly, one district secretary or one ex-minister cannot do it.
12:22It is, it is definitely, with the instruction, with the blessings, and with the, with all instructions,
12:29with the only High Command's approval, someone can even try this.
12:33I don't think anyone in a party can go and randomly try, because it is a blessing,
12:38and they know who can do it, and, like, because, like, people like Sendhil Balaji has more money,
12:44and he knows all illegal ways to approach anyone.
12:47So, they have made Sendhil Balaji and one or two business people who is in the market,
12:53and made them to work on this.
12:56So, that's what we could see.
12:57So, without Stalin's approval, or without Stalin's answer,
13:02definitely Stalin should be knowing this.
13:04And that was, that was other reason we are doubting why within,
13:07within, he suddenly left to Dubai.
13:10So, suddenly, why he left to Dubai?
13:12And, after it was raining, he left to Dubai, and Stalin was, started mentioning that,
13:17that this government will last only for 30 days.
13:19You know, something is behind this, and everywhere, wherever our MLS get a random call,
13:24and someone is trying to connect, and today, one person has got done really by the police.
13:28That's why we all see this as a very bad part.
13:30No, so, so, can I just, can I, can I also highlight here, Mr. Nirmal Kumar,
13:35that the DNK has also filed a complaint against the TVK.
13:39The DNK, the letter that they've written to the governor,
13:41suggests that the TVK is trying to buy two of their MLAs.
13:44So, they're also alleging here that there's a plot to break them apart.
13:49There's a plot by you to buy their MLAs.
13:52See, see, one thing we could say is, like, we have a,
13:55we have a clear number of 120 with all our alliance.
13:58And it is, like, alliance with government.
14:02And, definitely, we have our numbers, and we don't want to poach or ask anyone.
14:07It is very clear, even if we are ready to face the election at any time.
14:10And we are not worried about all this.
14:13Because, like, people are with us.
14:14And, you see, all our MLAs, you know, you can ask anywhere.
14:18They spent only two to three lakhs, and they have got elected in this election.
14:22And most of the MLAs, they have not even spent even two lakhs.
14:25Because people are with us, and the whole Tamil Nadu people wanted our CM to become the seat of Tamil
14:31Nadu.
14:32And, definitely, we are not worried about the election.
14:35Even if we are ready to contest even today or any time,
14:41we are ready to contest in all 234, and we'll get the maximum.
14:45And, like, it is, like, leader Waiko, TM, he wanted to, he's, like, he, like, he started his party against
14:58DMK.
14:59Since there was no alternative, he, like, he joined with DMK for a few years.
15:02And, no, he wanted to come out.
15:04And, that is the reason he mentioned that.
15:06But, it was wrongly understood.
15:07And, that he has, I think, he has already clarified that.
15:11And, now, see, after this arrest happened, DMK is sending a letter to Governor.
15:15And, you know, what is the impact of it?
15:17So, you're saying, essentially, it's a response to the arrest.
15:21But, ultimately, what we're seeing is two parties now trading charges of poaching
15:26and also suggesting that there are attempts to buy MLAs.
15:29We'll see how the probe progresses.
15:31You've made some very serious allegations, sir, too,
15:33suggesting that Stalin is involved as well.
15:36But, thank you very much, Mr. Nirmal Kumar, for joining us here on India Today.
15:39Let me open this up.
15:42About, really, this racket is the DMK attempting to topple the TVK government.
15:47Let me bring in Aleem al-Buhari, vice president of the minority welfare wing of the DMK.
15:52We have Sumansi Raman, political analyst, and Mr. Satya Kumar, national spokesperson of the TVK.
15:57Mr. Sumansi Raman, I'll begin with you.
16:00We're seeing very ugly politics playing out in Tamil Nadu the last few weeks.
16:04And now, a number of arrests suggesting that these were people linked to the DMK,
16:10linked to Sentil Balaji, who tried to buy MLAs from the TVK.
16:14Mr. Nirmal Kumar suggests that it's been happening for the last 40 days,
16:18that many of them have been getting calls.
16:2015 plus MLAs were approached with offers.
16:23What do you make of all this?
16:25No, I'm a little intrigued, Akshita, in terms of wanting to know what is the evidence
16:31that is currently available on this.
16:34Now, you know, if it is just he said, she said, and then, you know, they made calls,
16:40they may have some call recordings and all that.
16:42But, you know, in India, every time there is a party which does not have a majority,
16:49the opposition parties will try to topple the government.
16:52That is something that has been happening.
16:53We have seen it in multiple state after state.
16:56We have seen it.
16:57Now, I want to know, what is the evidence they have that cash was, A, paid to a particular individual?
17:06Because we have seen many such cases where, you know, people could have had a conversation,
17:11but nothing actually transpired.
17:14And, you know, the question of what, you know, this sudden, this thing that 15 TVK MLAs will resign
17:23and they will topple the government.
17:26You know, is the DMK capable of doing something like this?
17:29Absolutely.
17:30But in this particular case, I'd still reserve my judgment.
17:33You feel there's a lack of evidence, sir, because right now, the information we have
17:37on evidence is that, yes, you're right, phone call records are there.
17:42And secondly, the link that they have drawn to Sendhil Balaji,
17:45saying his brother is someone who met with the accused.
17:49No, no, he might have met, Akshita.
17:52But look, at the end of the day, there is no law which prevents Sendhil Balaji's brother
17:59from meeting and discussing such a plan.
18:01The question is whether there was a concrete offer made to bribe the MLAs to defect.
18:10And if so, what is the evidence that is available with the police?
18:14Whether this can...
18:15I honestly, on the basis of what we've heard so far, but we don't know the whole story,
18:20it's extremely difficult to get a conviction on just this evidence,
18:24unless they have, you know, evidence of money having changed hands.
18:29More evidence, yeah.
18:30Something solid.
18:31Mr. Satya Kumar, that's the question that will come up,
18:34whether there's solid evidence really in this particular case.
18:37You're a lawyer.
18:38You know what it takes really for a conviction in this kind of a case.
18:41And right now, phone call records, an alleged link to a DMK leader, is that good enough?
18:48See, first of all, DMK resorting to this level of politics is a worrisome thing in Tamil Nadu.
18:56Because after we got 108 seats, the allies of DMK joined us for two reasons.
19:04One is our ideology, second is they also got the ministerial berth
19:08because our philosophy is always sharing power, sharing governance.
19:11So we are attracting, or rather, the people are getting attracted to the party
19:16only because of this reason.
19:18And the allegation of Aussie trading, that the DMK is trying to level against TVK, is not today.
19:24They have been doing it since the time we got 108 seats.
19:28And they are trying to pull all strings to see to that, those kind of allegations are brought on us.
19:34They are trying to pick words.
19:36When Mr. Wyko said, the two MLA's, when they resign and come,
19:41it is an obvious discussion that anybody will do,
19:43if in case they are coming to the party, they will lose the MLA.
19:48So the party president will campaign and give.
19:50Party president will campaign for any MLA who resigns and comes to the party on their own will and wish.
19:57How can it be termed as an Aussie trading?
20:00But today, this episode, where DMK has resorted to...
20:04Allegedly.
20:05Sir, allegedly.
20:07Allegedly.
20:08Okay, as you are a journalist, you are saying alleged to be,
20:10but there are intelligence reports to say what they are trying to do.
20:15And they have intercepted to see to that this...
20:17This...
20:18This...
20:19Austriating is going on.
20:20DMK, now to safeguard themselves, they are going to the governor and trying to complain against TVK.
20:26Picking up two words.
20:27Mr. Wyko spoke.
20:29Wyko spoke to say,
20:31the MLA's are resign and coming.
20:33Anybody will request a party president.
20:35Whether will you campaign and give?
20:37That's all is the question.
20:39Obviously, any party president will say,
20:41if they are coming on their own will and wish,
20:43we will campaign and give what's wrong in it.
20:46So, the DMK's low level of politics has started in Tamil Nadu.
20:52Tamil Nadu people, knowing the low level of politics, what DMK did,
20:57that is the reason they rejected...
20:59That is the reason they rejected the election mandate was not towards their favor.
21:02So, accordingly, what is worrisome?
21:06Offering 35 crore to an MLA and that MLA has come and complained.
21:11It is not a mere allegation.
21:12MLA has complained.
21:14When MLA is coming and complaining,
21:16it is not a random exercise.
21:18That means there was a conspiracy created by the DMK.
21:24But, whoever is getting alleged in this matter,
21:26it seems to be that they are all close aides of Mr. Sendhil Balaji.
21:30Sendhil Balaji is not a saint.
21:31He is known for a habitual offense.
21:34Habitual offense, we did not say.
21:35DMK only filed a case on him when he was in ADMK.
21:38And he comes to DMK.
21:39And there is another CBI case on him on the transformer case.
21:42He has been resorted to doing this kind of offenses.
21:45I will keep adding allegedly.
21:48But, Mr. Satya Kumar, based on what you have said.
21:50Akshita, let me clarify the point of lawyer.
21:52Let me clarify the point of lawyer.
21:54Mr. Sendhil Balaji is out on bail.
21:56As per section 45 of the Prevention of Money Non-Tering Act 2002,
22:00even yet another allegation of an offense,
22:02he has to go inside.
22:04His bail is resorted.
22:04That is a different case.
22:05That is a different case.
22:06I do not want to go into that.
22:07Let us focus on this.
22:08Let us focus on this.
22:09Section 45 clearly says,
22:09even a check-bounds case that may come up.
22:12Okay.
22:12Even a check-bounds case may not come on, Mr. Sendhil Balaji.
22:15He is out on bail with a condition.
22:17Sir, that is another case.
22:19That is something else we will talk about another day.
22:21But right now, focusing on what is happening here,
22:23Alem al-Bahari, your reaction.
22:24The TV case suggesting that this is a big DMK conspiracy
22:27going right up to the top,
22:29that it is at the behest of MK Stalin
22:31that this has happened.
22:37As you could have seen,
22:38even Honorable Minister,
22:40what kind of reply he has got
22:41when you ask what are the evidences?
22:44When a minister is actually, you know,
22:47addressing the press or a media,
22:49when you ask him,
22:50what are the concrete evidences
22:53you have against DMK?
22:55He says,
22:56Sendhil Balaji is powerful.
22:58Sendhil Balaji has got money.
23:01Uriyanidi Stalin is in Dubai.
23:03Stalin said this government won't last,
23:05no, 30 days.
23:06See, what kind of mockery is this?
23:08See, they are complaining that
23:10a ruling party's MLA
23:12is being threatened by an opposition party MLA.
23:16Even that opposition party
23:17is again opposing the union government as well.
23:21But still they say,
23:22DMK is more powerful than TVK.
23:24It's not unheard of.
23:25By the way,
23:26I'll just highlight here
23:27that you may, you know,
23:28suggest that it's very outlandish
23:29to make these claims.
23:30It's not unheard of
23:31to attempt to buy MLA.
23:32We've seen it in every other state.
23:34We've seen it happen before.
23:39That's okay.
23:39That's okay.
23:39Let me complete.
23:40Let me complete.
23:41So, when you ask a minister,
23:43see, he's the one
23:44who is in charge of law, you know,
23:46then he should have
23:47some concrete evidences
23:48as our Suman S. Ramans has said.
23:51There should be concrete evidences
23:53and proofs to prove that.
23:54And also,
23:55on another hand, you know,
23:57real horse-leaning is happening.
23:59Anti-defection law must be against them.
24:02See, for example,
24:02in the case of
24:03Suman Balasahiv Patil
24:04versus Honorable Speaker,
24:06the matter is very clear.
24:08Factum and taint of disqualification
24:10does not vaporize
24:11by tendering a resignation letter.
24:13Now, one after another,
24:15MLS of ADMK are resigning.
24:18This is a fit case
24:20towards horse trading.
24:21Because why these resignations
24:23are happening,
24:24very, see,
24:25all these things are,
24:27you know, fictional.
24:28They say,
24:29DMK tried to make an alliance
24:32with ADMK.
24:32There is no proof.
24:34Sindhul Balaji is behind,
24:35you know,
24:35fuse carrier.
24:36He is actually taking away
24:38the fuse carrier.
24:39There is no proof.
24:40Still, they are ruling the state
24:42for more than 30 days now.
24:43They are still alleging,
24:45you know,
24:45ruling allegations against
24:47a party
24:48that is not in power.
24:50But still,
24:50we have got
24:51concrete evidences
24:52against.
24:53He is stating that
24:54I asked Vijay,
24:56will you come?
24:57He said,
24:58ask your party people
24:59to resign.
25:00I will come and
25:01campaign for you.
25:02Then what is this?
25:03This is...
25:04So that's not a money offer.
25:06That's...
25:07Let's be very clear
25:08that that's not a money offer.
25:09Go on,
25:09Honorable CM.
25:10That's not a money offer,
25:15This is a...
25:16That's okay.
25:17You must understand the point.
25:18For half trading,
25:20there is no,
25:21you know,
25:22concrete reason.
25:24There should be money involved.
25:25It can be,
25:26you know,
25:26ministerial birth.
25:28It can be,
25:28you know,
25:30any posting.
25:30Okay, fair enough.
25:31Fair enough.
25:31It can be any party post as well.
25:34Fair enough.
25:34Mr. Satya Kumar,
25:35constantly the question
25:36that will come up is
25:37where is the evidence?
25:38The DMK is also saying that.
25:40They're saying you're talking
25:40of Udeniti Stalin in Dubai,
25:42of MK Stalin's comments
25:43that there will be elections
25:45very soon.
25:45That's not strong evidence
25:47or strong grounds
25:47to claim that they're
25:48trying to buy your MLA, sir.
25:51See,
25:51evidences need not be spoken
25:52in the television.
25:54I hope he understands that.
25:56Why should we provide
25:57the evidences?
25:58Evidences should be taken
25:59by the cognizance
25:59by the authorities.
26:01And why should even
26:02we reveal the evidences
26:03right now?
26:04But we do have...
26:04It's a preliminary stage.
26:05Why co-statement is there.
26:06Why co-statement is there.
26:08Let me complete.
26:09I didn't interfere
26:10when you spoke.
26:12Let me complete
26:13and you have a fair chance
26:14to speak.
26:14Definitely Akshita
26:15will provide you the chance.
26:16Go ahead, sir.
26:17Let me complete.
26:18So,
26:19there is no need
26:20for our minister
26:22to actually reveal
26:23what is the evidences
26:24we have.
26:25And second,
26:26those evidences
26:27to be taken into consideration
26:28by the authority.
26:30And now when they take
26:31into the consideration,
26:32it's a complaint filed
26:32by our own MLA.
26:33Do you think an MLA,
26:35sitting MLA
26:36from a ruling government
26:36will come and
26:38alligate?
26:39Definitely will have evidences.
26:41You would have given
26:41the evidences.
26:42All the matters
26:43will be investigated shortly
26:45and that the investigation
26:46get over
26:47and we'll speak
26:47about the evidence
26:48if it is going
26:48to come in public.
26:50If the matter
26:50is going to be taken up
26:51in the court,
26:52let the court record
26:52speak for itself.
26:54Why are you in urgency?
26:55Okay.
26:56Why are you worried about it?
26:57So you're saying
26:57no tearing, Hari.
26:58No tearing, Hari.
26:59Aleem, quickly,
26:59you wanted to make a comment.
27:03See, evidences mean
27:04it is very clear
27:05even we know that
27:06we are not asking
27:07the minister
27:07to show the evidences
27:08in the live
27:09or to the media.
27:10We say it's very easy
27:12to understand.
27:12What we say is that
27:13we have got evidences
27:15like account transfers.
27:16We have got evidences
27:17like money
27:18that has been caught.
27:19We have got evidences
27:20like phone calls
27:21and messages.
27:22We have got evidences
27:22that proper transaction
27:25has happened.
27:26These sort of evidences
27:28we are demanding.
27:29So when you ask
27:30a hundred-one minister
27:30regarding evidences,
27:32he says he is very powerful,
27:33he has got money,
27:34he can do anything else.
27:35So let us ask
27:36Santhir Balaji
27:36to rule the state.
27:37That is quite easy then.
27:38Why is there
27:39Vijay as other CM
27:40and why he should be there
27:42as a minister?
27:43Satyakumar,
27:43your response?
27:44We didn't ask
27:44to show...
27:48See,
27:50today,
27:50they have arrested
27:51a person
27:52who is alleged
27:53to be involved
27:53in this matter.
27:55Let us see
27:55what statement
27:56he is going to give
27:57and let us wait
27:58for the evidences
27:59to come out.
28:00Why are you in urgency?
28:02Please maintain
28:03some patience.
28:04The law has set its course.
28:06That's what is
28:07my submission to you.
28:08The only reason
28:09why I am saying
28:10is because
28:10you just tried
28:11to make
28:11an horse trading
28:13allegation on us
28:14which is not working.
28:16Now you suddenly...
28:17You got into
28:19the issue
28:19of horse trading.
28:21Now your people
28:22are frustrated.
28:23Now you are asking
28:24for the evidences.
28:25Why should I provide
28:26evidences
28:27on the television?
28:28Sir,
28:28because you are making
28:29an allegation.
28:30Mr. Satyakumar,
28:31there is an allegation
28:32being made.
28:32It is not an allegation.
28:33There is an arrest
28:34that has happened.
28:35Let the arrested person
28:37give all the evidences
28:38what he has.
28:40Let him give the statement.
28:41He has done the allegation.
28:42He has done the allegation.
28:43It is not an allegation.
28:44He was arrested.
28:45Let him answer.
28:46Let him give a statement.
28:48Why are you in urgency?
28:49The matter will be
28:50taken up in the court.
28:51When the arguments
28:52are happening in the court,
28:52the evidences
28:53will be seen there.
28:54Or if you get all
28:54of the evidences,
28:56you please reveal.
28:57If you don't get
28:58all the evidences,
28:59then you argue here.
29:01Why are you asking
29:02the evidences
29:02the first time,
29:03first day itself?
29:05Ultimately,
29:06and I will bring in
29:06Mr. Sumansi Raman
29:07on this.
29:08Mr. Sumansi Raman
29:09looking at what
29:09Mr. Satyakumar says.
29:10He says,
29:11look,
29:11let the investigation
29:12move forward
29:13and only then
29:13we will have the details.
29:14This isn't just
29:15a plain vanilla
29:16allegation being leveled.
29:17This has now
29:17become a police case
29:18as well
29:19with arrests being made.
29:20And allegedly
29:21a DMK link there.
29:23Akshetra,
29:24the first issue
29:25that concerns me
29:26is they are
29:26hiking the rates.
29:2835 crore
29:29is too high
29:30for a vote
29:32of confidence.
29:33Normally,
29:34we hear sums
29:34of 5 crore
29:35and 10 crore.
29:36Tamil Nadu
29:37is taking the lead
29:38and putting up
29:39the price
29:40to 35 crore.
29:41This will give ideas
29:42to MLA's
29:42in other states.
29:43Mr. Nirmal Kumar
29:43told me 50 crores.
29:44That is going
29:45right up to 50 crores
29:46the offers.
29:47No, no.
29:4750 crore
29:48perhaps could have
29:49been consolidated
29:49but 50 crore
29:50per MLA
29:51is too high.
29:52I mean,
29:52they are hiking
29:52the rates.
29:53This is going
29:53to create a problem
29:54across the country.
29:55But on a serious
29:56note,
29:56Akshetra,
29:58look,
29:58you need
29:59to put evidence.
30:00You cannot say
30:01somebody said
30:02something.
30:03Therefore,
30:03I think,
30:04yes,
30:05the fact that
30:06the person
30:06has been arrested
30:07is itself
30:09a matter of
30:10significance
30:11because if
30:12there was no
30:12evidence,
30:13they would not
30:13have arrested
30:14is the assumption.
30:15But in Tamil Nadu,
30:17we have seen,
30:17especially during
30:18the previous
30:18government,
30:19people were
30:20arrested for
30:20almost nothing
30:21because somebody
30:22felt offended
30:23by a social media
30:24post.
30:24There were people
30:25who were arrested.
30:26Gundarnak was
30:27slapped on people
30:28like that.
30:29I think that
30:30the credibility
30:31of the police
30:32and the government
30:33is not that high
30:34in Tamil Nadu
30:35conventionally.
30:36So we'll need
30:37to wait and see
30:38before we come
30:39to any kind
30:39of conclusion
30:40whether there
30:40is any truth
30:41in this allegation
30:42or not.
30:42No, look,
30:43ultimately,
30:44these are very
30:45serious allegations
30:46at a time
30:47when, you know,
30:48for the last
30:48one week at least,
30:49the words
30:50poaching,
30:50horse trading
30:51has been dominating
30:52headlines in
30:53Tamil Nadu.
30:53So yes,
30:54these are serious
30:54allegations but
30:55the onus will
30:56be on the police
30:56to also reveal
30:57what the investigation
30:58throws up.
30:59To put forth
31:00the name,
31:00for example,
31:01of Sentil Balaji,
31:03a prominent leader
31:04of the DMK.
31:05That will have to be
31:06also backed by proof
31:07but like Mr.
31:08Satyakumar also said
31:09and I will highlight here
31:11that yes,
31:11the arrests have
31:12happened just now,
31:12the investigation
31:13has begun.
31:14So we'll see
31:15if we see
31:16any evidence,
31:17proof being put
31:18on the table
31:19to back these
31:20allegations here.
31:21Thank you very
31:21much for joining
31:22us on this
31:23broadcast.
31:23Mr.
31:24Sumansi Raman,
31:24Mr.
31:24Satyakumar and
31:25also Mr.
31:26Ali.
31:26Thank you for
31:27joining us.
31:28Let's cut across
31:28to breaking news
31:29coming in.
31:31Remember that the
31:32alliance meet
31:33by the TVEK
31:34has also happened
31:35in Chennai.
31:36Tamir Nauru
31:36Chief Minister
31:37Vijay has chaired
31:38the first alliance
31:39meet.
31:40Congress part of
31:41the meeting,
31:42no surprise there.
31:43But the VCK,
31:44the MDMK,
31:45the RUML
31:46have also attended
31:47the meeting.
31:48Only the left
31:49party, CPI and CPIM
31:51chose to skip
31:51the meeting.
31:52Why?
31:53Because they said
31:54that look,
31:54we always said
31:55we're only giving
31:55outside support.
31:56But the other
31:57parties,
31:57RUML,
31:58MDMK,
31:59VCK have now
32:00officially therefore
32:01ditched the DMK
32:03joint hands
32:04with the TVEK.
32:04This is no longer
32:05outside support.
32:06They are one,
32:07they are one unit,
32:08one alliance.
32:09You see that moment
32:10there of all of them
32:11with their hands up
32:12showing you a message
32:13of unity right now.
32:15Chief Minister Vijay
32:16did in fact lead
32:18that particular huddle.
32:19But at the same time,
32:21what we can confirm
32:22for you is that
32:23while there was
32:24a lot of talk
32:24there would be a name,
32:25a formal name
32:26given to this alliance
32:27that hasn't happened
32:28just yet.
32:29Let's get you
32:29all of the reactions
32:30that bioreporters
32:32have got you
32:32from the ground.
32:38What was the reason
32:39why the left parties
32:40gave this meeting
32:41a miss, ma'am?
32:42No, left parties
32:43actually haven't
32:43given a miss.
32:44Left parties met
32:45a Honorable Chief
32:46Minister just before
32:48the meeting
32:48in the Secretariat.
32:49We are all together.
32:50There is nothing to worry.
32:51They want to give
32:52support for the
32:53government formation
32:54but not really
32:54for the alliance.
32:55It's not true.
32:57They also give support
32:58to the alliance
32:58but you see
32:59every party
33:00has its own face,
33:01right?
33:02Some people
33:03like Congress Party
33:04will decide quickly.
33:05Communist Party
33:05will have a lot of time
33:07and discuss
33:08among themselves
33:09because there is
33:09a structural party
33:11that Bolidpito
33:11has to decide.
33:13I'll bring in
33:14Anaka Keshav
33:15who was at
33:16that meet location.
33:18Anaka,
33:19you know,
33:19a sense of unity
33:20that the TVK
33:21is projecting here.
33:22I mean,
33:22all of this talk
33:23of poaching,
33:24horse trading,
33:24they've got the numbers
33:25because now
33:26it's no longer
33:27a question of
33:27outside support.
33:28These parties
33:28have come on board
33:29barring the left.
33:30There's no name,
33:32formal name though
33:32that's been announced.
33:33It was expected
33:34the Chief Minister
33:35Vijay would name
33:35this alliance
33:36this block today.
33:42In fact,
33:43what Mr. Arunraj
33:44told us
33:44is that
33:45the Chief Minister
33:45mentioned in that meeting
33:46that he has a name
33:47in his mind.
33:48He has already
33:49decided the name
33:49but he's just going
33:51to take some more time
33:52before he announces it.
33:54He would first
33:54want to chair a meeting
33:55with alliance partners,
33:57inform them beforehand
33:58and then make
34:00this name official.
34:01That's what we are
34:02hearing about this name
34:03but it will be
34:04on the lines
34:05of secular values
34:06and social justice.
34:07the two key pillars
34:08when it comes
34:09to Tamil Nadu's
34:09politics.
34:10In fact,
34:11the left parties
34:12giving this meeting
34:13a miss
34:14is looking
34:14quite dubious
34:16optics wise
34:17but then the TVK
34:18maintains that
34:18it doesn't mean
34:19that they don't
34:20want to support us
34:21any less.
34:21They do want to
34:22continue offering
34:23their support to us
34:24but they just want
34:25to take some more time
34:26before they officially
34:29make themselves
34:30a part of this alliance.
34:31So at this point,
34:33the left parties
34:33have still taken
34:34some sort of
34:35a neutral stance.
34:36They still want
34:36to support Vijay
34:37when it comes
34:38to forming a government
34:39but they don't want
34:40to be associated
34:41with TVK politically.
34:43So that seems
34:43to be the stance
34:44of left parties.
34:45Alright,
34:45Anika,
34:46thanks for those details.
34:47Let's cut across
34:47to some of the reactions
34:48that Anika managed
34:49to get us
34:49from the TVK too
34:50about this
34:51crucial alliance meeting.
34:53How do you interpret
34:54the miss that
34:55the left parties
34:56gave for the meeting?
34:57I don't think
34:57it is a miss.
34:59They are with
35:00the government.
35:01They are extending
35:01support to the government
35:02and the left parties'
35:05main ideologies
35:05for people-oriented
35:07government
35:08and which we are
35:09delivering on the ground.
35:11So they are with us.
35:14Okay,
35:15let's move on
35:15to news from
35:16Andhra Pradesh
35:16where we saw
35:17an all-out
35:18war of words showdown
35:19between Jaganmohan Reddy
35:20and Chandra Babu Naidu,
35:22Chief Minister
35:22versus former
35:23Chief Minister.
35:24Jaganmohan Reddy
35:25lashed out
35:25at the Naidu government
35:27questioning them
35:28over law
35:28in order to custodial
35:29that that happened
35:29in Vijaywada
35:30and the capital
35:31says so.
35:32What am I referring to?
35:32The fact that
35:33Chandra Babu Naidu
35:34is pitching for
35:34Amuravati as the capital
35:35versus what
35:36Jaganmohan Reddy wanted.
35:38The three capital
35:39promise that he
35:40constantly focused on.
35:42It's called
35:42Mavigun.
35:43So what that
35:44actually refers to
35:45is essentially
35:46Machilipatnam,

39:39remain locked in a familiar battle bureau report India today
39:50let's switch over to neighboring Telangana where there's a Congress versus
39:54BJP fight. Nitin Nabeen, BJP president, works in Telangana recently and Revant Reddy,
39:59Telangana chief minister reacting to that said what does the BJP hope to achieve in Telangana
40:04saying that the BJP took 15 years to conquer Bengal it's going to take them longer than that
40:10in Telangana to even make inroads the BJP's called him out saying this is political arrogance on
40:16display let's get you a sense of what that political face-off is all about in our next tour
40:24political temperatures are soaring in Telangana as chief minister Revant Reddy launched a blistering
40:30attack on BJP president Nitin Nabeen dismissing the Safran party as inconsequential in the state
40:37speaking at an event in Hyderabad Reddy sought to attack Nabeen's stature and mocked his claim that
40:43the next government in the state would be BJP's. Reddy warned that tactics which worked against
40:48Mahmouda Banerjee in West Bengal would not succeed against the Congress in Telangana.
41:14The jibe came a day after Nabeen during his three-day state tour, vowed to be the
41:18out that BJP would approve the Congress government in Telangana.
41:29The BJP hit back at Revant Reddy calling his statement against Nabeen political arrogance.
41:36Mr. Revant Reddy has made a statement on Shri Nitin Nabeenji's visit that who is this man who is this
41:44guy and
41:45then he said that he is not Mahmouda Banerjee to be defeated by BJP. This statement itself is nothing but
41:52indication of his political arrogance is one and his political fear on BJP.
41:58Nabeen's visit seen as the BJP's biggest organizational push in Telangana this year comes
42:04weeks after Prime Minister Modi's Hyderabad visit underscoring the party's southern expansion strategy.
42:10With the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation elections coming soon and the BJP enjoying political
42:16momentum after winning Bengal Assembly polls, Telangana is fast emerging as the next high-stakes
42:22political background. Bureau Report, India Today.
42:28Piyasha's upcoming action thriller Toxic has found itself at the centre of an online debate
42:33following the release of its latest teaser ironically called Ladies and Ladies. It offers a glimpse of the
42:39film's leading ladies and yet it's not really dedicated to women, objectifies them in the worst manner possible.
42:48If you thought teaser 1 was bad, take a look at this one.
43:01They promised a fairytale for grown-ups but what they unveiled has left audiences deeply divided.
43:08The women of Toxic are finally here.
43:15Love.
43:16Only instead of talking about their characters, their strength or the role they play in Yasha's
43:21gritty gangster universe, the conversation is dominated by one thing.
43:26The teaser's overwhelming sensuality.
43:32Instead of celebrating a formidable female ensemble, the teaser leaves behind an uncomfortable question.
43:39Because when the camera spends more time lingering on bodies than introducing characters, can it really
43:45be called a ladies' first look?
43:47Fighting for his scraps of devotion.
43:51Or is it simply another exercise in selling sex appeal?
43:54Ladies and ladies.
43:59The teaser introduces Nayantara, Kiaradwani, Huma Qureshi, Tara Sutarya and Rukmani Vasanth,
44:06each playing women who appear to hold influence in Yasha's crime-filled world.
44:14Yet rather than offering a glimpse into their motivation, identities or individual journeys, the visuals
44:22rely heavily on seductive imagery, revealing costumes, smoking, alcohol, intimate moments
44:29and stylised violence to make an impact.
44:32The visuals also appear to romanticise hyper-masculinity, where violence, dominance and sexualised imagery
44:41become the defining language of power.
44:44And this is in the first time Toxic has found itself at the centre of controversy.
44:48Earlier, the teaser had already attracted complaints alleging obscene and sexually explicit content,
44:55prompting the Karnataka State Women's Commission to seek action from the Central Board of Film
45:01Certification after receiving complaints.
45:09Cinema has every right to be bold.
45:11It has every right to be provocative.
45:14But there is a fine line between telling a bold story and reducing women to visual spectacle.
45:24And perhaps that's the biggest question Toxic leaves behind.
45:29Is this fearless storytelling?
45:31Or is shock value stealing the spotlight?
45:35With Pranjali Sethi, Entertainment Bureau, India Today.
45:39It is a beautiful illusion if one understands the depth.
45:44Of its deception.
45:47Unfortunately, no lessons learned from teaser one.
45:49They've continued to objectify women in the most horrifying and degrading manner in the second teaser as well.
45:56Your daily report of what's happening in the FIFA World Cup.
45:58France, one of the favourites to win and have proved that yet again with the 3-0 demolition of Sweden
46:04in the round of 32.
46:05Here's a look at how Kylian Mbappe and co breezed through to the round of 16.
46:10I'm leaving you with this detailed report.
46:13You'll join us same time tomorrow here on Super 6.
46:15Thanks for watch.
46:19France's Kylian Mbappe and Argentina's Lionel Messi are setting off the fireworks in the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
46:33Mbappe opened the scoring at the stroke of half-time in France's first knockout game this year with a remarkable
46:40finish.
46:45He was on the score sheet once again in the 74th minute putting the result beyond all doubt after Bradley
46:52Barcola had scored France's second.
46:56Who on earth stops the French playing like this?
47:01That goal took Mbappe to the top of the golden boot race ahead of Lionel Messi but only on assists.
47:10Incidentally, Messi and Mbappe were central to one of the greatest ever World Cup finals in 2022.
47:17And given their placement on opposite sides of the knockout's bracket, there's every chance that they could meet once again
47:24in the summit clash.
47:26Sports Bureau, India Today.
47:29Thanks for visiting.
