00:24and continues to expand its strategic role in global trade.
00:28The data was presented this Tuesday by China's Ministry of Transport during a press conference
00:36realized here in Beijing as part of a review of the 14 five-year planned period that came
00:44from 2021 to 2025.
00:49In 2025, China's international chip volume accounted for nearly one-third of the global
00:57total.
00:57The scale of this capacity is reflected in its port.
01:02China was home to eight of ten world's largest port by cargo throughput.
01:09Over the past year, Chinese terminals handled more than 18 billion tons of goods and around
01:16350 million containers, the highest volumes recorded worldwide.
01:23The expansion of this logistics network is also reflected in its infrastructure.
01:30During the 14 five-year planned period, China added nearly 500 new berths for large vessels,
01:38bringing the total numbers of these facilities to more than 3,000.
01:43The high-capacity waterways network reached nearly 18,500 kilometers, strengthening connections
01:53between ports, rivers, and trade corridors.
01:56At the same time, China is advancing in port automation.
02:01The countries now operate 60 automated terminals, including 30 automated containers terminals, representing
02:11nearly one-third of the global total.
02:14So, with this combination of scale, infrastructure, and technology, China strengthened the role as one
02:23of the world's leading logistical hubs.
