Transcript
00:00West Indies started day two knowing they had to deliver their best batting
00:04performance of the Test Series and they would take a more aggressive and
00:07positive approach as captain Craig Brathwaite was leading from the front. In
00:11contrast, Mikel Lui was neither aggressive nor positive as he was the
00:15first to go on seven. After debuting with a duck, Amir Jangu would match the
00:19aggression of his captain. Brathwaite's positive play would see him
00:25getting to his first Test 50 in his last seven innings. But after surviving
00:30consecutive DRS appeals, he would be outfoxed by Noman Ali on 52. Ali and
00:35Sajid Khan would remove Jangu, Kavim Hodge and Alec Anthony's for the
00:39addition of 35 runs with the West Indies 129 for 5. But the Caribbean men would
00:44continue to show the fight required.
00:48Tevin Imlach with 35 and Kevin Sinclair 28 would take the West Indies past the
00:57200. And Gudakesh Moorthy and Jamal Warrickon backed up their first innings
01:02batting performance with scores of 18. The West Indies putting together their
01:06best batting performance closing on 244 setting Pakistan a victory target of 254.
01:13But the Caribbean men would have to defend the total with ALP frontline
01:16Pisa Kimaroj due to injury. Regardless, West Indies were going to rely heavily
01:21on their spinners and they would deliver early. Moorthy like Sinclair getting the
01:25opening pair out cheaply with only five runs on the board. But Baba Azam and
01:30Cameron Gulam would look to consolidate things for the host. Pakistan though were
01:38aided by some missed chances in the field from the West Indies. But Warrickon
01:42would get Gulam to present a catch to Django at 48 for 3. And Sinclair got
01:49extra bounce and spin to finally unseat Azam on 31. Another missed chance would
01:55let Saud Shakeel off the hook as Pakistan survive at 76 for 4 at Stumps.
01:59Still in need of 178 while the West Indies will require six more wickets on
02:04a spinning track on day three. Terence Clark TV6 Sport
