00:12it got to the supplemental draft part so like this goes back to when he was at any at indiana
00:18um he bay he placed a enormous number of very small bets around a hundred thousand dollars worth but

00:36i mean um and so but at the very at the beginning of it there were bets that he placed

00:43football team while he was on the indiana roster which for obvious reasons is a huge no-no in
00:49every sport um and at the time he was being red shirt he wasn't even on the travel roster i

00:56one of the stories was that a game he was betting on indiana the football team was on the road
01:02somewhere else and he was sitting in his dorm room because he wasn't even at the point where he would
01:07be on the sideline for a game like that um but there's the obvious entanglement so um the ncaa
01:15ruled him ineligible i think we talked about the over the last couple of weeks the injunction he was
01:20able to get the injunction from the court in texas then the big 12 came in and filed their own
01:26lawsuit
01:27he saw the time running out on the supplemental draft so then he withdrew the lawsuit which you know
01:34obviously got rid of the injunction now he's ineligible again which makes him eligible for
01:40um the supplemental draft on paper and on tuesday the nfl said they are not going to let him in
01:49and so now you know he's got to make a decision on what he's going to do whether or not
01:54he wants
01:54to sue the league i do think he has a case here um and yeah i mean i there were
02:02a bunch of things in
02:03the nfl's like letter to soarsby that made no sense at all like they one of the things was well
02:11you filed your application three business days before the deadline which was would have been
02:17last tuesday because juneteenth was not a business day so you have you filed you filed the application
02:24three days before the deadline which doesn't give us enough time to vet it you know somebody brought
02:29this comparison up to me like if you're a kid filed a call like like sent a college application in

02:35the day of the deadline and then the school came back to you and said well you didn't file it

02:40how pissed would you be you know very so the nfl was coming up with like a lot of like

02:45reasons not to let him in i think the bottom line is like i thought all along they were going

02:49in because of the legality of it um the nfl is essentially a trade association soarsby is not a
02:56member of its union and so i i think legally because the nfl is a monopoly the nfl cannot
03:06determine his employability they have to leave that up to the companies the companies in this case
