00:00All right, Burt, we heard A.J. Brown.
00:04Tell us what you're hearing about A.J. Brown, Max Crosby,
00:07the future of these big-name players that could be available for trade.
00:11Do the Eagles want to get rid of A.J. Brown?
00:14Can they afford to keep him?
00:15I think this is going to be kind of like, this is a touch-and-go situation,
00:19I think is the best way to put it.
00:22Now, of course, this time next week we'll be in Indianapolis,
00:26and that's when the agents for these players sit down with the teams
00:31and these things generally get hashed out.
00:33And whether that means the team's moving on, the player wants to move on,
00:38or everybody's going forward together,
00:42we're kind of in that area now where teams are meeting on like,
00:50okay, if this guy's available, if that guy's available,
00:53will we pursue this guy, what would the price be, all that.
00:56And, you know, so I would say the Max Crosby situation is further down the tracks
01:03as far as the potential trade happening than the A.J. Brown thing is.
01:09But the A.J. Brown situation is something that I think the Eagles will consider.
01:15And because of everything that's happened, the interesting thing is,
01:19I don't think A.J. Brown even needs to demand a trade.
01:23There's already perception out there that he could be had,
01:26and so teams are going to call the Eagles on him,
01:29same as teams will call the Raiders on Max Crosby.
01:33I think the interesting thing about A.J. guys,
01:35and I've said this to you guys before,
01:37the real reason the Titans traded him in 2022
01:39was because of a degenerative knee condition that he has.
01:44And the doctors said to, you know, the doctors said to management,
01:49we don't feel comfortable signing off on you guys doing an extension with A.J.
01:54And at that point, they were going into a contract year with him.
01:57And so they made the decision, all right,
02:00well, if we're not going to sign him to an extension,
02:02now's the time to trade him.
02:03Obviously, it looks awful in retrospect,
02:05not just because of how well A.J. Brown has played over the last four years,
02:10but because of what they got in return for him,
02:12which was a first-round pick that turned into Trelon Burks,
02:15who was a massive bust at the same position.
02:19But, you know, I would say, as far as the Patriots go,
02:22Mike Vrabel was there for that.
02:24So he loves A.J. Brown as a player and a person I 100% believe that.
02:28Like, he's said it.
02:29I wouldn't fight you on any of that.
02:32He also does know about the knee thing, though.
02:35And so is he willing to bring in a guy who's going to be 29 this year
02:39who has a lot of miles on his body at that age?
02:44And if he does bring him in, what would that mean for Stephon Diggs?
02:48Are you better off sticking with Stephon Diggs
02:50at a lower price point financially without having to give up draft picks?
02:56I think that's sort of the kind of give and take
03:01that you're looking at if you're New England.
