00:00I tell you, I'm going to be honest with you, this fly is no joke. No joke, but a high
00:05fly.
00:05And I ain't going to front with it, but I'm like, this is a 10 out of 10.
00:09For many athletes, the journey to the 2026 Special Olympics USA Games is part of the experience.
00:16Through the Special Olympics airlift, organized by Textron Aviation,
00:21volunteer pilots, donated aircraft, and hundreds of volunteers help make that journey possible.
00:27This is our ninth airlift. We've flown over 10,000 athletes to the Games, and we're thrilled to do it.
00:36Making an operation of the scale work takes more than airplanes.
00:41Textron Aviation coordinates the effort while AccuWeather provides forecasting support
00:45to help organizers make weather-informed decisions throughout the airlift.
00:50We'll have an airplane landing every three or four minutes all day today and greeting these athletes.
00:57It's a remarkable effort that drew support from volunteers across the aviation community,
01:02including country music star Dierks Bentley.
01:05This is my first time here. It's really just completely blown me away.
01:09I've been following along with this the last few years and no idea the scale of the operation
01:14and really maybe how it would make me feel just being here.
01:18But while the operation is impressive, for many athletes, the memory lasts far beyond the flight.
01:24It was an amazing experience. I kind of felt like a superstar.
01:27So if you can make a form of radiation adaption, you'll recognize yourself.
