If there’s one treat that’s impossible for many people to resist, especially in the summertime, it’s ice cream. In this video, follow along as Martha Stewart makes her homemade mint ice cream recipe and learn how to make your own homemade frozen treats.

00:00Homemade ice cream is really a delightful treat. It's creamy, it's flavorful, and it's not very
00:07hard to make. Two cups of heavy cream, two cups of full milk, and a pinch of salt. Bring to
00:14a simmer
00:14over medium heat eight egg yolks. We want a nice rich mint ice cream. And whisk your egg yolks.
00:22Add two bunches of clean, beautiful, fresh mint. One cup of sugar, granulated sugar. Remove the mint
00:33and we're going to temper our eggs. Adding little by little the hot milk and cream to your eggs.
00:40Just start to temper and add that to your pot. Stir with a whisk until you have a nice custard.
00:47Pour this entire pot through the sieve. Set it in a bowl of iced water. Put this into your
00:55refrigerator and let it chill overnight. Here's our electric ice cream maker. Get the top on.
01:01There. Chill for a couple of hours before serving. So here's our ice cream. Making a beautiful spirally
