00:00January 1st, I ended up making a get out account, which is jail communication.
00:05I had to ask him why, and so he ended up calling me and was like, how are you?
00:10Are you okay?
00:11And I was just making him aware of like the damages that he caused to my life.
00:15He told me that he was sorry and he apologized and he was ready to sit down and take accountability.
00:21From there, everything with the whole court situation just changed.
00:25He ended up taking the plea.
00:26He pleaded guilty and he took a plea.
00:28It was 10 to 15 years, I believe.
00:31His lawyer got my prosecutor to bring it down to 7 to 12 years and he pleaded guilty.
00:37At the time, once I had God, I was in a program.
00:41It's called STARS program at St. John Hospital, where I wasn't allowed to have no phone, no computer,
00:47no tablet, nothing electrical where I can reach out to the outside world and let them know where I was.
00:52My relationship with God now is phenomenal.
00:55I feel like forgiveness is a mental thing.
00:58If you are finding yourself to be stuck in the same position that you were, it's probably because you need
01:04to let something go.
01:05It was like, okay, I have to forgive him.
01:07I have to let this go so I can move on and I can start healing.
01:11And to anyone out there who's going through any domestic or tragic life changes, I just want to tell you,
01:19just keep pushing.
01:20You know, whatever you're going through right now is seasonal.
01:22God has a bigger outcome for you in the end.
