00:00I got a video from him and it was one where I was only partially clothed while my husband was
00:07home
00:08and he was using my laptop and my messages were coming through on the computer and that one popped
00:13up. So when I got home that night, my husband had packed a bag for him and my daughter. They
00:20were
00:20getting ready to leave. He stopped before he left and he looked at me and he said, if this was
00:25not
00:25by choice, if this was done to you, I need you to let me know. And I just was able
00:30to shake my head
00:31and kind of fall to the ground crying for the first time in weeks. After that, my husband was
00:37really encouraging me to talk to someone, you know, a counselor, therapist. I had a really hard time
00:43feeling angry at my perpetrator. Two years after I decided to Google his name, come to find out he had
00:50been indicted on several felonies. And unfortunately, because his dad was a state trooper, he got a slap
00:56on the wrist. He got 30 days in jail. You can't even find his name on the offender registry. So
01:02justice was not served. In 2020, I was browsing Instagram and I came across this idea of somatic
01:10healing. And within 12 weeks, the somatic work was crucial for me. It allowed me to find safety again,
01:18both inside and outside my body. My husband, he's always been a good support person. Now I feel like
01:24he's an expert because he went through what he went through with me and he watches me do what I
01:28do with
01:29clients.
