00:04the US president Donald Trump is at it again he is warning Iran and stated very categorically
00:10that the only thing that Trump is clear about is that Iran should not have a nuclear weapon
00:16the US president making it absolutely clear that his agenda is one and that is that Iran
00:23will not have a nuclear weapon he's added and I want to just quote him here they're not going
00:27to buy it they're not going to do anything with it and if they do they suffer unbelievable
00:31consequences the consequences are the ultimate consequences that they are going to face that
00:38they will never have a nuclear weapon it's a quintessential Trump statement not really going
00:44across as a as a statement statesman quote but what his heart and mind clearly immediately the
00:51first thought that he's put against Iran and he has said that the only thing that really matters is
00:57Iran will never have a nuclear weapon and it says it loud and clear they're not going to develop it
01:09but the one thing that's happening that's of note frankly the only thing that really matters to me
01:15is Iran will never have a nuclear weapon and it says it loud and clear they're not going to develop
01:22it they're not going to buy it they're not going to do anything with it and if they do they
01:27suffer
01:27unbelievable consequences not just a little bit like I won't even tell you the consequences but the
01:38consequences are the ultimate consequences and with that being said I hope we have a very good
01:42relationship but the biggest thing is they will not have a nuclear weapon and that's the reason I got in
01:50and that's the reason I agreed to sign which I never cared about regime change it was never a part
01:56but
01:56I guess you have regime change because you know better than anybody the first group they're all dead
02:01the second group they're dead a part of the third group is gone and we're dealing with people that I
02:09think are very rational people I mean they were nice to deal with they were strong people smart people I
02:15think actually they're smarter than the first and second group but they're not radicalized and
02:21they're you know looking to help their country so again I don't believe the regime change you know I've
02:31watched so Donald Trump already making a statement there while of course of the G7 the focus will be
02:39how these seven countries or the group of seven as it is called are going to ensure that they come
02:43together on the table and go ahead as a strong force for the country but here's what Trump has said
02:51no less on Israel as well remember with the peace deal set to be signed and for Trump clearly it's
02:57going to be
02:57very personal he he wants to of course coincide it with his 80th birthday as well but will the peace
03:04deal
03:04really go through because uh the bombarding in Lebanon is still on so that's the big news coming in let's
03:10take a look at
03:19so what we'll do is we'll play out the breaking that's coming in with regard to what Donald Trump
03:25has said about uh about Israel as well and then we'll get a foreign affairs editor to really explain
03:31to us what exactly is happening the Lebanon threat that's looming over the West Asia peace deal and that
03:38Trump's message to Israel over Lebanon as well so that's the big news coming in that uh Donald Trump
03:45already making strong statements when it comes to whether it's Iran whether it's Israel as well
03:51Donald Trump in fact has said I suggested to Israel to let Syria take care of Hezbollah because to be
03:57honest with you I think they would do a better job of doing it I suggested to Israel to let
04:02Syria take
04:03care of Hezbollah they will do a better job rather than Israel bomb Lebanon and Beirut Israel has been
04:10fighting Hezbollah for too long too many people are being killed you don't have to knock down an
04:14apartment every time you're looking for somebody and uh there are not a lot of people in those
04:19apartments they're not all Hezbollah I can tell you so let's listen in to what Donald Trump has said
04:25first he made a remark on Iran and now over Israel with regard to Israel's fighting Hezbollah too long
04:35and too many people are being killed and you don't have to knock down an apartment house every time
04:41you're looking for somebody because there are a lot of people in those apartment houses and they're not
04:45all Hezbollah that I can tell you and I suggested to Israel to let Syria take care of Hezbollah because
04:54to be
04:54honest with you I think they do a better job of doing it so that's the big news coming in
05:00Donald
05:00Trump already making news at the G7 I want to bring in foreign affairs editor Geetha Mohan Geetha let's
05:06go one by one first what he said about Iran he's saying I'm very clear I don't want them to
05:10have the
05:11weapons now many would say the kind of high-handedness that comes with the United States of America and
05:16the statements they make about other countries but this is going to be the focus of the peace deal
05:19what are you hearing from Iran are they on board with it how is Lebanon a part of it tell
05:25us more
05:25well it's it's quite interesting because you know Iran has been maintaining Pooja that they never wanted to
05:31build a nuclear weapon now whatever the world says whatever Iran has been saying the position that Iran
05:37has maintained for a very long time is that they never were planning on building a nuclear weapon and
05:43the MOU that is going to be signed is an initial MOU the real nuclear talks will take place after
05:50the
05:50MOU is signed for the next 60 days where they are going to go into the brass tacks of what
05:56this nuclear
05:57conversation is going to be and what the deal on the ground is going to be the Iranian side is
06:02also very
06:03clear that they have a right like many countries do to have civil a nuclear power for civil nuclear
06:10purposes which means energy and energy security even for oil rich nations are very important so that
06:17conversation is going to happen after so what president Trump is saying and talking about in
06:22terms of nuclear weapons is something that Iran completely agrees with because Iran says we've been
06:27saying it from day one we do not wish to possess nuclear weapons can can we also play again now
06:33what Trump has said about toward the peace deal but about Lebanon about Israel about Hezbollah let's
06:39play that out and then we'll go back to Gita to help us understand what is Trump saying when he
06:43says
06:44let's Syria take care of it Israel's fighting Hezbollah too long and too many people are being killed and you
06:55don't have to knock down an apartment house every time you're looking for somebody because there
06:59are a lot of people in those apartment houses and they're not all Hezbollah that I can tell you
07:04and I suggested to Israel to let Syria take care of Hezbollah is to be honest with you I think
07:11they do a
07:12better job of doing it just one quick point here when he says Syria let it take care of it
07:18of the
07:18Hezbollah what do you think he's trying to come at he's trying to tell Israel not to interfere he's
07:23telling Israel that al-shara who is now a friend will do a better job because the deal will
07:28completely collapse Pooja should Israel come again come out with another attack on Lebanon Iran is
07:35going to retire peace deal is the focus for Donald Trump will he be able to go through with it
07:39this
07:39time or it's going to collapse yet again no ceasefire the war continues we'll be tracking that and
07:44more
07:44you
