00:06so amidst the fast-changing developments that are taking place in West Asia joining me now is a very
00:12special guest Sharon Haskell deputy minister of foreign affairs of Israel appreciate Miss Haskell
00:18you joining me we've just heard from Donald Trump in an interview where he has said that the war
00:24with Iran is very close to being over and a second round of talks with Tehran is likely shortly does
00:33Israel concur with the US president that the Iran war is very close to being over look it's a it's
00:42a
00:42real question whether the leftovers of the Iranian regime understand where they at now and it has two
00:49main perspective and two main approach that we're looking at the one thing is the tools and the
00:56other one is the intentions the intentions of destruction the intentions of annihilation the
01:02intentions of the massacre and the destruction and then the tools the nuclear program and the materials
01:09the uranium materials that they that they have the tools of the factories most of them were destroyed
01:17by the ballistic missile program and its continuation as well and both of these things will dictate
01:25whether in the long terms Iran will be a threat on humanity or not look Iran has put armies terrorist
01:33armies all around the world whether it is Hezbollah whether it is in Africa or Latin America North America
01:40Asia Asia this is a serious threat for humanity and and therefore look you know we've destroyed all
01:47most of their capabilities and most of their tools but this is a question whether they'll be able to
01:53rebuild in the next decade and that's why we have to come into the consideration of the intentions as well
02:03so I repeat my question do you believe therefore that the war is far from over given the fact that
02:11Iran has been unwilling to concede particularly on the nuclear question at best according to sources
02:18they're ready for a five-year pause on their nuclear enrichment program they haven't disowned groups like
02:23hezbollah hamas and the houthis donald trump is the one looking for a negotiated settlement is israel is
02:31is israel committed now to an urgent early negotiated settlement okay what i can tell you is the last time
02:39when um you know the vice president jd vance left the last talks and in the airplane he had a
02:47conversation
02:48with prime minister netanyahu and you know they were furious and they were furious because the gaps
02:54between the two were so far and those leftovers of the iranian regime still did not put their feet on
03:03the ground and face the reality and i said back then if they don't understand with what happened they
03:09understand with more force and when president trump imposed a blockade a siege blockade i think that's
03:16when maybe the foot went to the ground that this would mean you know a a collapse for the regime
03:23and that the collapse of the regime is only a matter of time because of the economical aspect of that
03:28as
03:28well the iranian regime has a huge uh you know oiled uh engine of terrorism of of of of you
03:38know of
03:38destruction there's armies around the world and there's a lot of people who are benefiting from that from
03:45the corruption and and and and and and in their place and their respect in society and with
03:52economical constraints you know but that means a matter of collapse economical collapse is only a
03:58matter of time and i hope that they truly understand that
04:05but but miss haskell you know you're saying it's only a matter of time before iran economically collapses
04:10and amidst all that we've also heard uh vice president vance saying iran could do a grand
04:17bargain almost suggesting as if if iran agrees to a negotiated settlement the world will come to iran
04:23will help in the economic prosperity of iran so we're getting mixed i think you're talking about
04:31not the iranian uh export of terror it's nuclear arsenal and we've got the vice president talking
04:37of a grand bargain what is this grand bargain then i i i i think there is none of mixed
04:44messages
04:44if iran truly eliminate its nuclear program understanding there's zero enrichments in their
04:52country pulling out the material they have destroying you know the ballistic missile program
04:57all of these things okay and intentions will create not just a changed iran and a different iran
05:06okay but this will create stability in our region and you know an aggressive and violent force that will
05:15be constructed and restricted are they there i don't know yet we'll have to hear after the next round
05:22of negotiation but i'm not sure they're there yet we'll have to see if they are is it better
05:27for humanity of course but it's very you know but it's very interesting that we have the
05:35possibility of a second round of negotiations miss haskell likely to take place between the americans
05:40and the iranians possibly in the next few days and you've got the israelis negotiating with the
05:46lebanese government in the united states even as bombing continues in lebanon bombing also reportedly
05:52in gaza so israel is still being seen by some as the aggressor that you started this war and now
05:59you
06:00want to finish it on your terms even while you continue bombing in lebanon in which three thousand
06:06civilians have died uh how do you expect uh the iranians or indeed anyone else then to trust uh or
06:13even
06:13lebanon to trust israel or or that israel is acting in good faith well it is very simple and i
06:19think that
06:20most you know uh average uh you know sensible indian citizen will truly understand that in many cases
06:29india looked as if this it is the aggressor in the war with pakistan but was it was india attacked
06:37where innocent civilians were butchered and murdered and the government had to step up in order to defend
06:43them and secure them to make sure that they are protected is that so and this is the exact same
06:49case
06:50you know the lebanese government told hezbollah not to attack israel yet they didn't listen to the
06:59government of lebanon they listened to the puppet master in tehran and bombarded and attacked israel
07:07while we had a ceasefire they they have bombarded us every day every week destroying our cities
07:15killing our people what would your prime minister do if you would be bombarded across the border
07:24almost every single day would you just let them do that that's not even the government the government
07:31told them to stop the government told them not to do that and that's why you need to understand the
07:36in-depth difficulty that we have because this army is not a lebanese army this is an iranian army
07:43that have been looking for the destruction of israel and have been destroying and occupying lebanon for
07:52so many decades now destroying its economy and fabric and the corruption and the lebanese want them out
07:59and so you know when the when when the lebanese president put on uniform and say they are at war
08:06with hezbollah is this just israel's fight no this is the fight against the iranian army hezbollah
08:14in lebanon so you're coming and saying oh you're bombarding and you're the aggressor
08:18well i think that the average indian truly understand how things can be really twisted and manipulated by the media
08:27but that's not the reality
08:32well well it's not just uh the media twisting it you know that even the indian well it is come
08:38out strongly
08:39and condemned the bombing of civilians no no there's a difference between targeting hezbollah which you
08:45believe is at war and is a combatant but what about the civilians who've died the question therefore
08:50arises ma'am do you believe that the hostilities in lebanon also have to cease just as you say that
08:57iran has to give clear guarantees on its nuclear program ending is israel willing to give any guarantees
09:04on ending the hostilities in lebanon or do you want to take over southern lebanon in particular
09:10well the first thing what you're saying is absolutely not true israel doesn't target civilians
09:17on a contrary israel has been warning civilians if you go right now to the arabic spoke person twitter
09:26okay you will see every single day him warning the exact locations the exact time as a message for
09:36civilians to evacuate warning them that we are targeting hezbollah militant in those areas and most
09:44civilians will evacuate and that's how life are being saved we call them we spread leaflets and so
09:51israel is doing more than any other country more than any other army to try and avoid civilian
09:57casualty that's a fact and you can fact check it on twitter right now the second thing okay you're
10:06talking about the you know what's happening between lebanon we've seen we've if you can see it the
10:12lebanese civilians can see but what about what about the killings that have taken place in gaza and
10:17lebanon ma'am you're you know how can i fact check what about the killings that have taken place in
10:24gaza
10:24and now in lebanon i ask you this everything what does israel come into this with clean hands you you
10:31listen to me now the media can fact check everything it can call on and check exactly what happened they
10:40choose to disregard it they choose to ignore it and they choose the position of terrorist organization
10:47with information from hamas a terrorist organization that butchered and raped and massacre over real fact
10:56and real data that we've been providing you so let's put that on the table and you want to talk
11:03to me about gaza who started that with the worst massacre of jews since the holocaust our children
11:10were butchered and burned entire families 250 people were taken hostage this equate in regard
11:19to the wall in regards who's the responsible for that it is hamas on the 6th of october there were
11:28two separate entities they had a good life who chose that hamas chose it hamas opened fire with the
11:36worst massacre they could possibly do with such a small population in israel that would equate to tens
11:43of thousands of thousands of indians being butchered and being taken hostages by your enemy what would
11:51you do if not destroy the capability of this terrorist organization of committing this attempt of genocide
11:58again what would you do as a father to a daughter that is raped every single day as a hostages
12:06in the
12:06dungeons of torture of hamas what would you do as a father i i empath i empathize and i would
12:15also
12:16empathize with palestinians who also claim similar stories of torture and illegal punishment
