00:00Big RPGs like Stellar Blade and Lies of P are getting surprise Switch 2 ports.
00:06The Switch 2 is quickly turning into a magnet for major third-party releases, with a wave
00:11of high-profile RPGs and action titles now confirmed for Nintendo's next-gen handheld.
00:16During the latest Nintendo Direct, Nintendo revealed that several previously console-heavy
00:21titles including Stellar Blade, Lies of P, and Dragon's Dogma 2 are officially heading
00:28to Switch 2 in 2026.
00:30Even better, a few of them already have release dates attached.
00:33Among the first to arrive is Unimusha Way of the Sword launching September 25th across
00:39Switch 2, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series XS, and PC.
00:44Capcom's long-awaited revival is part of a broader push to bring major franchises back
00:49into rotation across multiple platforms.
00:51Meanwhile, Dragon's Dogma 2 Dark Arisen, an expanded edition of Capcom's 2024 RPG,
00:57is set to land on October 9th bringing additional content to what is already one of the company's
01:02most ambitious fantasy worlds.
01:06Lies of P, the Pinocchio-inspired Souls-like from Round 8 Studio, is also making the jump
01:11to Switch 2, bundled with its Overture expansion released last year giving players the complete
01:16version of the game in one package.
01:19Later in the showcase, Atlus revealed that Metaphor, Wii Fantasio, its fantasy RPG built in
01:25the spirit of Persona, will launch on November 12th.
01:28The timing is notable, arriving just a week ahead of Grand Theft Auto VI, making for one
01:33of the busiest release windows in recent memory.
01:36The RPG's announcements weren't the only surprises.
01:39Devil May Cry 5, Devil Hunter Edition, is also coming to Switch on June 23rd, featuring
01:45enhanced performance and a 60 frames per second mode.
01:48Other major ports include Warhammer 40,000 Space Marine 2 and Lords of the Fallen 2, further
01:55expanding the console's growing third-party lineup.
01:58The sheer volume of announcements suggests that developers are finally fully embracing
02:02the new hardware after an initial period of transition, with many studios now ready
02:07to bring previously current-gen titles to Nintendo's latest platform.
02:11After a year of anticipation, Switch 2's library is beginning to look less like a launch lineup,
02:16and more like a full-scale, multi-platform ecosystem.
02:25One problem, Dragon's Dogma 2, Devil May Cry 5, Liza P.
02:37Obviously, these games specifically, they've already been out.
02:45Why are we bringing these games?
02:49Now, like Unimusha, that's the Way of the Sword, that's a brand new game.
02:54So, obviously, yeah, bring that to Switch, too.
02:58But, it seems like everyone wants to cash in on Switch, too, so they're just bringing
03:04their latest title and adding something to it.
03:09And, honestly, this is one of the things I hate about gaming.
03:14When you buy a new system, they want you to buy the games you have all over again.
03:21But, you know, I can't get excited about a game that was released two or three years ago,
03:29now coming to the Switch, too, when it was on the first Switch.
03:41But, I mean, I guess the only good thing is that when the next games come out from these
03:46developers, from the people who made Liza P, from who made Dragon's Dogma 2, from the
03:51people who made, what's the other one?
03:56I guess when their next game comes out, at least we know it will be on the Switch, too.
04:05But, I mean, but, you know, how many people are going to buy these games if they haven't
04:15bought them already?
04:16That's another thing.
04:18You know, so, I mean, on one hand, it's good, but this was mixed in with something else
04:27that I really am not a fan of, which is re-releasing older games from 2024, now on the
04:34Switch, too.
04:37Maybe I'm wrong in this.
04:41Let me know what you think.
04:42Like, are you happy that these games are coming to the Switch, too, or are you, just
04:50like, most of these games I could have played years ago if I wanted to play them.
04:54So, why would I, so why would I spend full price to get these games on Switch, too, if
05:01I hadn't already gotten them?
05:07So, let me know in the comments below.
