00:00The window into the future of NCAA football, what you can get away with, is wide open.
00:05You ever see a house under renovation, Joe?
00:07It's like, man, they got the whole front, looks like, off of that house here,
00:10trying to fix those windows and front doors here.
00:12That's what's taking place.
00:14Yahoo Sports will start here, Joe.
00:16The NCAA addresses the ruling that made Texas Tech quarterback Brendan Sorsby
00:20eligible for the 2026 season.
00:22Quote, the NCAA strongly disagrees with the court's ruling in Sorsby's case
00:28and is deeply concerned about the damaging, far-reaching,
00:31and broadly destabilizing ramifications of this outcome,
00:35which undermines and corrupts the integrity of sports.
00:38They are right.
00:39So take control of this sport.
00:41Individual judges in individual states and counties that root for and cheer
00:46and sit on boards and are alumni of these universities,
00:48how can they make rulings to keep people active just because they want to?
00:54That's the issue here, Joe.
00:56Well, and they allowed them to get there.
00:59But this is the crazy part, Donnie, is this is exactly what the NCAA wants.
01:04We're all being played here.
01:06They want an antitrust exemption.
01:09They want to keep throwing their hands up in the air and saying,
01:12nothing we can do.
01:14It's the court.
01:15See, Congress?
01:16This is, you know, if you go ahead and give us the antitrust exemption
01:19and we can make, you know, $17 trillion more here,
01:22then maybe we can do something.
01:24But until that point, give me a break.
01:27This is exactly what the NCAA wants.
01:30And now they're going to run to Congress and say, hey,
01:33yeah, I told you nothing we can do.
01:35You could have prevented all of this to begin with.
01:38It was your greed that put us into this spot.
01:41And now you're holding everyone else responsible except yourself.
01:45What did you think was going to happen in a Lubbock County courtroom, Donnie?
01:49What exactly were we thinking was going to happen?
01:52The judge was going to roll against them?
