This southern breakfast recipe captures the comfort and coziness of a grandmother’s homemade quilt in food form! In this video, Josh shows you how to make quilted eggs with toasted bread, crispy cheese, and a creamy egg.

00:00So you've had eggs fried, scrambled, over easy, but have you had them quilted?
00:04Throw in a pat of butter and swirl it around the pan.
00:06Sprinkle about a quarter cup shredded cheese in a ring about the size of a bread slice.
00:10Cut your bread into four triangles, then put the bread in the skillet with the points facing out.
00:15Crack one egg into the square, sprinkle with salt and pepper, and then top of the pan lid.
00:19Cook it until the cheese ring is just golden brown and the egg is perfectly set.
00:23Give it a flip with a big old wide spatula, turn off the heat, and let it set for just
00:27a little bit extra.
00:28Now look at how cute and cozy she is. And listen to that crunchy cheese, y'all.
