04:14I think I hear someone coming to the nursery
04:20Just go and see who it is.
04:22Back in the middle.
04:27Oh, hi, Miss Hoody.
04:28Hi, Josie.
04:29Hi, kids.
04:33Good timing, Josie.
04:35Just to find your stick.
04:37Here it is.
04:38One hockey stick.
04:40I hope you score more goals with it than I ever did.
04:42Oh, sorry.
04:44I don't need to borrow your hockey stick after all.
04:46The match got cancelled because of the rain.
04:48Oh, what a shame.
04:50Which means I'm free all morning.
04:52So, I was wondering if you need my help in the nursery.
04:55Help?
04:56Yeah, you know, playing games, keeping the children busy.
04:59I know how fed up they get if they can't play outside because of the rain.
05:03Yes.
05:04Well, I'd love you to help.
05:06But what could you do?
05:09I know.
05:10What about a game with animals?
05:13Yeah.
05:14What about a movement game?
05:16That's a great idea, Josie.
05:18Oh, we could sing a song about the animals too.
05:21The children would love that.
05:23Right.
05:23I'll go and see if Spencer can think up a song.
05:26We can all move to.
05:28See you later, Miss Hoody.
05:30Off to see Spencer.
05:32Bye.
05:34So, what colour house do you think Josie will visit first today?
05:43Can you see all the different coloured houses sitting by the sea?
05:49Well, this part of the story in Bala Mori asks, which is the house for me?
05:54Is it red?
05:57Is it white?
05:58Which coloured house do you think is right?
06:01Pink, yellow, green, orange or blue?
06:04Which coloured house are we going to?
06:07Pink house, white house, red house or yellow?
06:12Green house, orange or blue?
06:15Which coloured house are we going to?
06:23Tell me what do you think?
06:24Which coloured house are we going to?
06:26Tell me what do you think?
06:29Which coloured house are we going to?
06:32Tell me what do you think?
06:36Let's go orange house!
06:39Yep, it's the orange house because that's where Spencer lives.
06:48Spencer!
06:50Oh, hi Josie.
06:52I wasn't playing too loud again, was I?
06:54No, no, no, no.
06:55That's not why I'm here.
06:56I need your help.
06:57Well, you just name it.
06:59Well, it's just that I said I'll teach the children how to move like different animals.
07:03And I was wondering if you could think up a song we could use.
07:06I know lots of songs about animals.
07:09Any in particular?
07:10All sorts.
07:11Miss Hoody found a little ark in her cupboard.
07:13Oh, full of animals.
07:14Ark?
07:14I know a brilliant song about an ark.
07:17Noah's Ark.
07:18Can you sing it to me?
07:18Sure.
07:21Let's see.
07:22It goes a little something like this.
07:27The animals went in two by two.
07:30Hurrah!
07:31Hurrah!
07:32The animals went in two by two.
07:35Hurrah!
07:36Hurrah!
07:37The animals went in two by two.
07:39The elephant and the kangaroo.
07:41And they all went into the ark for to get out of the rain.
07:46Hurrah!
07:46Hurrah!
07:47Hurrah!
07:48Hurrah!
07:49Hurrah!
07:51That was a great song, Spencer!
07:54So, what other animals went in two by two?
07:56Oh, well, let's see.
07:57There's the penguin, the cockatoo, the monkeys, and the flamingo, too.
08:04Oh, I think the children will love singing that, too.
08:07Oh, yes.
08:07And the children will love doing the actions to the songs.
08:10Like the elephant with his long, swain trunk.
08:14Oh, yeah.
08:15The elephant is great.
08:16Oh, and I love the monkey, too.
08:20Oh, and the kangaroo, too.
08:25Boing, boing, boing.
08:26But what about penguins, flamingos, and cockatoos?
08:29How do they move?
08:30Oh, I don't know.
08:34Oh, no.
08:35We can't sing a song if we don't know how the animals move.
08:39There's a penguin, a cockatoo, and a flamingo in the mainland zoo.
08:43Oh, but we haven't got enough time to go.
08:46Oh, dear.
08:47What are we going to do?
08:50Someone must know how a penguin, a flamingo, and a cockatoo move.
08:54Someone who's travelled the world.
08:57Someone who loves animals.
08:59Yeah, but who?
09:01I know.
09:02Edie McCready.
09:04Oh, you're right.
09:05I'll go and see Edie.
09:06See you later.
09:07See ya.
09:17I'm Edie McCready.
09:19I love to drive.
09:21Hop aboard my bus, enjoy the ride.
09:24Doors are open, so step inside.
09:28It's the day to have some fun.
09:30Plenty of room for everyone when I honk my horn.
09:36Step inside.
09:38Step inside.
09:40Now if you can't sit still then hold on tight.
09:43We're rolling down the room.
09:46If there's traffic ding-a-ling, got a song we love to sing.
09:50We're rolling down the room.
09:52If you need to find somewhere, I can take you there.
10:00I've been to places that you'll never know.
10:02From the hot desert sand to the cold Arctic snow.
10:06When I honk my horn.
10:08Step inside.
10:10Step inside.
10:12If something breaks, it doesn't matter.
10:14I can fix it with my spanner.
10:16I can fix it with my spanner.
10:16We'll be rolling down the road.
10:19If the tires are looking flat, I can fix them just like that.
10:22We're rolling down the road.
10:26Anything I can mend.
10:29I'll be just around the bend.
10:31Just for Edie.
10:33Call on Edie.
10:34Edie McCready.
10:35Edie McCready.
10:36Call on Edie.
10:37Edie McCready.
10:38Just call Edie.
10:40Ooh.
10:41Edie McCready.
10:50Oh no, that goes that way round.
10:54Ah, there.
10:55Hi Edie.
10:57Howdy Josie.
10:58What brings you out on such a rainy day?
11:02Oh, I need your help.
11:05Well, I'll help all I can.
11:07So what's the story in Balamori?
11:10Well, where do I start?
11:12Oh yes.
11:14My hockey match was cancelled this morning because of the rain.
11:18So I called on Miss Hooley and she said I could organise a sing song about some animals she had
11:24found in a toy ark.
11:26Spencer knew a song about Noah's Ark.
11:29It had lots of animals in it.
11:32Monkeys, elephants, tigers.
11:36And one or two animals I don't know the moves to.
11:38So, we thought you might be the person to help me find out how these other animals move.
11:45What animals might they be?
11:49Are they any of these?
11:53No, there wasn't a budgie.
11:57No, no lion.
12:00No snake.
12:02No, there were flamingos, penguins, cockatoos.
12:08Oh well, I know all about those.
12:11You do?
12:12Yes, I saw them when I visited the zoo on the mainland.
12:15And I can show you exactly how they move.
12:21Great!
12:21Because I filmed them all on my video camera.
12:26So you can watch them move as many times as you like.
12:30Because I've got them on my tape.
12:39Ready?
12:40Ready.
12:43On one leg.
12:45And curl their heads.
12:46Oh, there's a flamingo.
12:48Oh yes.
12:50They move very slowly.
12:54Oh, and they stand on one leg when they go to sleep.
13:01Oh look, there's a penguin too.
13:04Oh yes.
13:05The penguins waddle from side to side.
13:14Hello.
13:16Hello.
13:18Hello.
13:18That's a smashing cockatoo.
13:21Oh yes.
13:22He squawked and flapped his wings non-stop.
13:27Oh ho.
13:30Oh, there.
13:31And that's me.
13:32Right.
13:33Isn't it fantastic?
13:34This is the white rhino from southern Africa.
13:37Not looking very white today though.
13:39Oh yes.
13:40It was a great day out.
13:44That's perfect, Edie.
13:46Oh, you're star.
13:47Well, I'm just glad I could be of help.
13:49Well, I'm off to the nursery to teach the children how to stand like a flamingo, waddle
13:56like a penguin and flap like a cockatoo.
14:00Listen, do you want me to give you a lift there on my bus?
14:03Oh, that would be great.
14:04Oh, you could bring your video camera too.
14:08Good thinking.
14:09Right.
14:10Off we go.
14:22Okay.
14:22Who can move like an elephant?
14:27That's good.
14:28Well done.
14:29Oh, well done.
14:30Who can move like a kangaroo?
14:32Boing, boing, boing, boing, boing, boing, boing, boing, boing, boing, boing, boing.
14:36Okay.
14:37Who can move like a penguin?
14:40Penguin.
14:40Penguin move like this.
14:41Let's move around.
14:43Let's move around.
14:43Penguin.
14:44Penguin.
14:47The children are really enjoying themselves.
14:50Almost as much as Josie.
14:52Oh, who can stand like a flamingo?
14:55Try not to fall.
14:56Try not to fall.
14:57Peeps.
14:58Flamingo.
14:59Try not to fall.
14:59Ooh, careful.
15:01There we go.
15:01Who can move like, um, let me see.
15:05A cockle too.
15:06Who could do that?
15:07Who could do that?
15:08Very good.
15:09I think we're ready for our song now.
15:10Let's go.
15:14The animals went in two by two.
15:17Hurrah.
15:18Hurrah.
15:19The animals went in two by two.
15:22Hurrah.
15:23Hurrah.
15:24The animals went in two by two.
15:26The elephant and the kangaroo and they all went into the ark.
15:31All to get out of the rain.
15:38The animals went in two by two.
15:40Hurrah.
15:41Hurrah.
15:42The animals went in two by two.
15:45Hurrah.
15:46Hurrah.
15:47The animals went in two by two.
15:50The flamingo, penguin and cockatoo and they all went into the ark.
15:54All to get out of the rain.
16:24Everybody jump up.
16:25Yay!
16:27Well done.
16:29Well done.
16:29Okay, everyone.
16:30I think we should say a really, really big thank you to Josie Jump for teaching us all that fantastic
16:36dancing song.
16:37We'll give her a big round of applause.
16:38Yay!
16:39Thank you, Josie.
16:45So, what was the story in Balamori today?
16:53Well...
16:57Well, it was a very rainy day and Josie asked if she could help out in the nursery.
17:03I thought she could teach the children some animal movements to keep them entertained on a rainy day.
17:09Spencer taught her a song about animals that she could add moves to.
17:13The only problem was that Josie didn't know how all the animals in the song moved.
17:19She went to ask Edie McCready and as luck would have it, she had a video she'd made at the
17:25zoo so that Josie could see pictures of flamingos, penguins and cockatoos moving around.
17:31The children all enjoyed moving like the animals on the Noah's Ark song.
17:40So, that was the story in Balamori.
17:50I'll see you next time.
17:52Bye!
18:00Bye!
