01:03So, the other thing I found out two years ago
01:06was that much of what the drug industry does
01:10fulfills the criteria for organized crime in U.S. law
01:15and they behave in many ways like the mafia does.
01:18They corrupt everyone they can corrupt.
01:21They have bought every type of person
01:23even including ministers of health in some countries.
01:28So, there is a huge amount of corruption.
01:31In my country, for example, Denmark,
01:34we are regarded as having very little corruption
01:38but yet we have thousands of doctors on industry payroll
01:42although we are just 20,000 doctors.
01:44So, this is an effective kind of corruption.
01:48The drug industry buys the professors first
01:51then chiefs of department
01:52then other chief physicians and so on.
01:55They don't buy junior doctors.
01:57So, when several thousands are on industry payroll
02:00it's really, really bad.
