00:04Well, we as a coaching staff, we sat down with the entire personnel department and we
00:09went through position by position what the ideal athlete would look like for each spot.
00:16We're very flexible on both sides of the ball.
00:19Coach Allen, myself, Declan, Richard Hightower, big process, everyone's going to be heard
00:25in terms of what we're looking for and we very clearly outlined what the ideal look would
00:32be in terms of attributes, height, weight, speed, in terms of makeup, which is of critical
00:38importance for what we're looking for.
00:40But at the same time, if it's a good football player, we're going to make it work as a coaching
00:45staff.
00:45So there's a balance.
00:46Yeah, listen, talking with DA has been very enlightening because we share the same mindset
00:52when it comes to defensive football, which is we want to affect the passer.
00:56And there's a lot of different ways you can do that.
00:58Certainly up front, the pass rush is the primary thing you think of, but also on the back end,
01:04it's challenging the receivers and disrupting the timing.
01:07And so when we look at guys that are available, absolutely, we want to upgrade the pass rush
01:13and we also want on the back end to be able to come up and lock down receivers as well.
01:17So it's that fine balance and marriage between the rush and coverage that we're looking to
01:22augment.
01:22We want a physical group.
01:24All right.
01:24It starts with that.
01:25And that's just not, that's not just the offensive line.
01:27That's the entire team.
01:29DA and I have been talking about what that looks like on defense.
01:32It's going to look that way on offense.
01:34Starts in the trenches up front.
01:37We talk about finishing in a dominant position.
01:39We want to be around the football, the best football players.
01:42They finish around the ball.
01:43But I understand where you're coming from with that.
01:45Yeah.
01:45We, we want playmakers all over the roster.
01:48It doesn't matter.
01:49Offense, defense, D-line, secondary.
01:51We want them all over the place.
01:53And yeah, as an offensive guy, I look on at defensive players.
01:57And if it's an issue for me to game plan against, then absolutely.
02:00We'd love to have them on our roster as a defensive player to go after our opponents.
