From joking with AIR 1 Shubham Kumar to talking about playing cricket during JEE preparation, Kabir doesn't fit the stereotype of the intensely serious topper.

00:05That's Kabir Chullar All India Rank 2 in JE Advance and some would say getting more
00:09attention than All India Rank 1. Here is why.
00:23And that attitude is exactly why the internet seems fascinated by Kabir. For decades India's
00:29image of a topper has been fairly predictable. Intensely serious, buried in books, socially
00:33awkward, focused on little beyond exams. Kabir doesn't quite fit that mode. He comes across as
00:39relaxed, unbothered, almost nonchalant, a student who studies hard but still makes room for life.
00:50In fact, All India Rank 1, Shubham Kumar and Kabir Chullar who were separated by only one mark were
00:55hostel roommates and quota coaching batchmates and will continue the journey to IITs together.
01:07Behind the calm exterior however lies years of discipline and curiosity.
01:17His father Mohit Chullar an IIT Kharagpur alumnus once shared that when a teacher in class 2 asked
01:22students to name the second father star from the earth, Kabir didn't stop at one answer.
01:27According to him, Kabir went on to list 10 distant stars he knew.
01:35Perhaps that's what makes his story resonate. Not just because he got All India Rank 2,
01:40but because in a country obsessed with ranks, Kabir Chullar seems surprisingly unconcerned by them.
