00:20And at this point we can tell you that D.K. Shivkumar has just met with his mother.
00:26Other pictures have emerged of D.K. Shivkumar before coming here to the Lok Bhavan at his mother's residence,
00:33his mother Gauramma. He sought her blessings before making his way here.
00:37What I will highlight is also D.K. Shivkumar's attire.
00:40You're used to seeing him in his luxury shawls in a jacket and kurta.
00:45This time around he's chosen a traditional Kannadiga look wearing a panche, a kurta and a silk shawl.
00:51So you've got him going ahead and getting set for the biggest day of his life,
00:56dressed in very grand, typical Kannadiga culture rather than the usual D.K. Shivkumar politician look that we're used to.
01:05As we speak, hundreds of cars lined up here.
01:07As you can see, leaders who are trickling in one after the other.
01:11And I'm going to ask Satya to kind of pan and show us around what's happening.
01:15A lot of vehicles that are streaming in right now, all waiting for their pass.
01:20And these are, in fact, Congress leaders who are entering one after another.
01:25You've got a lot of corporates.
01:27You've got a lot of the who's who of Bengaluru getting together, of Karnataka,
01:33emerging here to go ahead and attend this ceremony.
01:36It's a small event, but the significance is crucial.
01:40And by small, I mean that essentially what D.K. Shivkumar was originally planning
01:44was a big bash in a stadium or at the Vidant Souda.
01:47Instead, he's chosen to have a smaller affair here at the Lohgbhavan.
01:52Right after this, however, he's headed to the Vidant Souda.
01:55So while you'll see this ceremony itself having much lesser numbers than what he had originally planned,
01:59it's still massive.
