00:01:09through a ball game and you

00:01:10look off they're in line for

00:01:12quality start we'll see what

00:01:18for a strike Rasmussen it is

00:01:20sixth season 30 years old now

00:01:23and he was selected for the

00:01:24all-star game last year out to

00:03:45finds another level of focus batting

00:03:50position this season and you know what

00:03:52because of that I wonder if the guys in

00:03:54front of them will see some better

00:03:55pitches to hit because you don't want to

00:03:57put any free base runners on with him

00:03:59looming in the on-deck circle

00:04:05that's a laser base hit so a man aboard now

00:04:09with one away

00:04:12just so sound in his mechanics hits

00:04:14against a firm front side and the hands

00:04:17just continue to carry through the middle of the field

00:35:00luxe throws the first in time lead off man retired in the six first base we talked about how the

00:35:07ball

00:35:07is coming out of a pitcher's hand the way it comes out of his hand that's an infielder wow really

00:35:13impressive

00:35:17i love the fact that we've seen both vladimir guerrero and vladdy jr win the home run derby

00:35:22they're the first father-son duo to ever win it vladdy back in 2007 and vladdy jr in 2023

00:35:30even though his dad didn't give him any advice for the event other than to go out there and hit

00:35:34home runs and that knock bumps his hitting streak into double digits chris he's hitting 10 straight

00:35:39yeah and on a nice trajectory average going up obp everything he's doing at the plate right now just

00:35:47seems to be working in the dirt

00:35:56and the one-on now there's a bullet down the line and that's a fair ball guerrero around

00:36:04second headed for third into third now so runners at the corners and one out

00:36:10up next for the blue jays third baseman addison addison barger will hit next barger

00:36:26have a lot more success on the road this season and time is called for a mount visit now big

00:36:32moment

00:36:33in this game so they'll talk it over base hit into the outfield runner from third in to score

00:36:39it's an rbi single and they lead by two well it comes through clutch with the rbi single that was

00:36:46big timing on the swing was good able to shoot the ball up the middle didn't square it up as

00:36:51much as

00:36:52he probably would have life but that's a good approach paying off this one in the air center field

00:36:58two down up next for the blue jays left fielder jesus sanchez

00:37:11two aboard two outs here's the left fielder jesus sanchez one for two going around

00:37:28in the dirt to second not in time he's safe so on the wild pitch two guys advance no trouble

00:37:37moving

00:37:37up to second on that play with the ball getting that far away from the catcher nice job to take

00:37:42advantage of the wild pitch the jays trying to break this one open and we're the top half of the

00:37:49sixth

00:37:51and that is that

00:37:54so one run in the inning on this base hit it's now a two nothing ball game it's an al

00:38:01east matchup here

00:38:02on mlb the show bottom of the six and stepping in for the rays junior camonero

00:38:18that one missed well these rays just lacking discipline at the plate in this ball game

00:38:23they've been chasing pitches outside the zone all game and it's led to some frustrating moments they've

00:38:28been fooled quite a bit today that one ripped left field sanchez reaching back towards the wall

00:38:35and it is gone he sends a rocket to left and they're on the board it's 2-1 he hasn't

00:38:45been at

00:38:45his best at the plate these last few games so this could end up being an important home run for

00:38:50him

00:38:50maybe it's a sign of more to come i wasn't sure he hit that one as hard as he needed

00:38:55to to get it out

00:38:56of here but it had just enough behind it for the homer what an attempt at the wall though he

00:39:01really gave a

00:39:02terrific effort to try and bring that one back here comes the skipper and we're going to see a

00:39:07pitching change in this spot kevin gosman makes way pretty good effort and he exits with a lead

00:39:13we'll tell you about the new pitcher when we get back

00:39:18new pitcher on here jimmy garcia well he's been hit pretty hard at times this season as you see with

00:39:25the big era so this is an important outing for him to get on the right track

00:39:44i just think the lack of drawing any walks is an indication that they need to be a little more

00:39:48selective and less anxious about forcing something to happen

00:39:59in the air right field springer in position and there's one away maybe caught that one off the end

00:40:05just a little bit couldn't quite barrel it up enough to really drive it johnny deluca next to hit for

00:40:12the

00:40:12rays there's over two with a pair of strikeouts

00:40:22that's really the money spot down and away if you can locate that consistently it's going to be

00:40:27real tall for hitters to square that off that's what you love to see relievers do coming out of that

00:42:05the right launch angle to carry it over the wall but still an excellent swing of the back
