00:00A.J. Brown is wild.
00:02And Kevin and I do a lot of shows talking about A.J. Brown and his antics there
00:05where the wide receiver mentality is so much different than everybody else.
00:08Like in college, I played on a bad football team.
00:10You know what I loved?
00:11Every fourth quarter, we were throwing the football.
00:13There were some games that we lost, and I would have like 10 catches
00:15for a buck 40 and two scores.
00:17That feels pretty good.
00:18Let me go tell the people about what I did.
00:20And there were games we won, Kevin.
00:21One catch, nine yards.
00:22I'm like, yeah, we won.
00:23But, boy, it would have been more fun if I had more catches, and we won this.
00:26A.J. Brown was in Super Bowls, scoring touchdowns, getting as many targets
00:31as he wanted, but there were games mixed in where, hey,
00:34the Eagles are unbeaten their last six, seven games.
00:37But A.J.'s unhappy because he's not winning his way.
00:40It's just the way it goes down.
00:41Who'll go to New England, Kevin?
00:42He's going to get 15 targets a game.
00:44But what did you think when it finally all went down yesterday
00:47where A.J. Brown went to New England?
00:49Yeah, I mean, the Eagles completely worked the Patriots.
00:52So here's – I saw a respected Eagles beat reporter try and downplay
00:57the return here.
00:59What world are they living in?
01:01Again, people were saying, oh, I don't know if A.J. Brown
01:03goes for a first-round pick.
01:05Everybody knew the Eagles were done with A.J.,
01:07and A.J. was done with the Eagles.
01:10And Philly was like, yeah, we can't trade him until June 1st.
01:13And the Pats were like, okay, give us a call.
01:16We'll be here, whatever you want.
01:18Oh, because the Eagles have to wait for the 28th draft pick
01:21instead of the 27th draft pick.
01:22First of all, the 26th draft pick is what New England wanted to give up
01:26because it was 31st overall.
01:27Newsflash, it's probably not going to be pick 31 or 32 in 2028.
01:31And it's more likely it's a bad pick in 2028 than in 2027.
01:36So the Eagles dictated the terms while having zero leverage.
01:40That's A-plus work, as always, out of Howie.
01:43Patchbacks were against the wall because of the Mike Vrabel situation.
01:45They had to back their guy.
