00:20General's chambers as soon as possible.
00:22In a statement, he said the tragedy should never have happened and that appropriate legal action must be taken against
00:30the driver responsible for the accident.
00:34He added that holding a driving licence does not entitle anyone to drive recklessly or carelessly in a way that
00:41endangers innocent lives.
00:44Cosmo reported Kluang Police Chief Bahri Noh as saying that a 19-year-old teenager was believed to have been
00:51racing with his brother prior to the crash, which also claimed the latter's life.
00:57Police have remanded the teenager to assist in the investigation into the crash, which saw four members of the same
01:05family lose their lives.
01:07The case is being investigated under sections 42 subsection 1 and 41 subsection 1 of the Road Transport Act 1987,
01:15which cover reckless and dangerous driving and death caused as a result of such driving.
