00:01Police have arrested eight men who got into a brawl at the Meru Police Station in Klang on Monday.
00:07Three of the suspects were at the police station to file a report when five others entered and the brawl
00:13ensued.
00:15Selangor Police Chief Shazali Kahas said the incident was believed to have stemmed from a dispute between the two groups,
00:22overlooking after security in a housing area.
00:25At a press conference at the state police headquarters, he said at the moment,
00:30investigations showed that the suspects are involved in gangs and believed to have been intoxicated during the incident.
00:38Shazali said the men, aged 28 to 44, were nabbed in a series of arrests
00:43and remanded separately until different dates, between March 3 and 7.
00:48Checks found that some of the suspects had criminal records, including for murder, attempted murder,
00:54gang robbery and break-ins.
00:56One of the suspects tested positive for drugs.
01:01Shazali said the case is being probed under sections 148, 427 and 324 of the Penal Code
01:08for rioting with a weapon, mischief and voluntarily causing hurt with a dangerous weapon.
