00:00The Los Angeles Lakers are prioritizing re-signing Austin Reeves over LeBron James.
00:10That's called competent basketball right now.
00:13They're going to give Austin Reeves $40 million a year.
00:16What a mistake.
00:16For the next five years.
00:18And that is a more important deal for them than bringing back the clown show.
00:2241-year-old LeBron.
00:23And the king of all flopping in LeBron James.
00:26Meaning, LeBron James will not be a Los Angeles Laker next year.
00:30He will be divorced from his son.
00:32I'm not sure how that works itself out.
00:35And if he's allowed to cut that cord.
00:37Because I'm not sure if Bronny's allowed to do anything without being attached to his pops.
00:40At some point, as a 20-something-year-old, don't you kind of want to live your own life?
00:46Yeah.
00:46At some point.
00:47And he doesn't live with him.
00:48He can't live in a pool house forever, right?
00:49No, he doesn't live with him.
00:50You know what I'm saying, right?
00:50Yeah, I get you.
00:51Like, at some point, look.
00:52Although.
00:53You know, dad's always there for you.
00:55Yeah.
00:55You know, the money's always straight.
00:57You know, you always have a roof to live on there.
00:58Yeah, yeah, you're good.
00:59You know, you can probably borrow a jet if you need to.
01:02Yeah.
01:02Right?
01:02But at some point, I want to be a man.
01:04Yeah.
01:04I want to be my own man.
01:05I lived house when I was 18.
01:07I never went back home.
01:08Now, I also had a different relationship with my parents.
01:11They didn't like kids or me.
01:13No, they get along a great deal.
01:15And LeBron did this in large part.
01:16No, they have a great relationship.
01:17Yeah, yeah.
01:18Because he missed things, traveling and stuff.
01:19He's like, now I get my son around.
01:20Although, you remember when the great Harry Callis, his son Todd, started doing games
01:27for the Phillies.
01:28And one would think that Harry, the legendary Phillies broadcaster, would be thrilled to
01:32have a son with him on the road while he was in his late 60s and they were into his
01:3770s.
01:38But that's not how Harry reacted to that at all.
01:40He was actually upset about it.
01:42Yeah, I think Todd does Nationals games now.
01:44He's somewhere.
01:45He's decent, by the way.
01:46Yeah, no, he does do games.
01:47It's hard to be a Callis in Philly and not be Harry.
01:50But in any event, I remember Harry telling people, now the kid's going to know everything
01:54I do on the road and that's not going to be good for anybody.
01:57And he was not happy that his own son was now going on road trips with the Phillies.
02:02But in any event, LeBron's going somewhere.
02:04Yeah.
02:05The question is, knowing it's going to be a one-year contract, then it looks like he's
02:10not going to be a Laker anymore after this year.
02:13And that makes sense.
02:14The Lakers need to move on from him.
02:16And it didn't work out this year.
02:18The question then becomes, what's the most likely destination on a one-year deal for
02:25LeBron James?
02:26Now, one place that immediately comes to mind would be Cleveland.
02:31Yeah.
02:31Obviously, Cleveland's got a player option on the Harden deal.
02:35Mitchell's got another year in his deal.
02:37All right.
02:38Would you go back to Cleveland and try to end it where you started it and try to win
02:43another championship with the thought process being, hey, the Cavs just lost to the Knicks
02:48in the Eastern Semis, in the Eastern Finals, pardon me, right?
02:52If I go there and they can hang on to Harden and Mitchell, we have a chance to maybe end
02:57the champion.
02:57We have a chance to win another year.
