00:00The person that's getting talked about the most is still, once again, LeBron James.
00:05As the Thunder sweeped the Lakers yesterday, and now they're A-0 in the postseason.
00:10But after the game, everybody's wondering, will this be the time where LeBron James announces his retirement?
00:17What's next with LeBron?
00:19And think about this now.
00:2041 years of age.
00:22He's been famous since he's about 16 years old.
00:25There's grown adults.
00:26We have interns that do not remember a world in which LeBron James was not famous.
00:31Literally.
00:32Like, does not have it in their memory bank of world before LeBron.
00:36And despite the NFL schedule and everything happening in sports, that great game between Detroit and Cleveland, the crazy ending,
00:43and everything going on.
00:44The Knicks, the number one sports story remains LeBron James.
00:49Let's get right to it before we move further into this situation.
00:53This is what LeBron said after the Lakers were eliminated last night by the hands of the Thunder.
00:59Well, I think you guys asked me about it, and I've answered questions.
01:04Yeah, I don't think I've come out like, oh, retirement is coming.
01:07Yeah, so.
01:10I mean, what about future?
01:11I don't know.
01:11I would say, I mean, obviously we're still fresh from, you know, obviously losing.
01:17You know, I don't know.
01:20I mean, I don't know what the future holds for me, obviously.
01:22As it stands right now tonight.
01:25You know, I got a lot of time.
01:26I'll sit back, like I think I said it last year after we lost, I think to Minnesota to go
01:30back and recalibrate with my family and talk with them and spend some time with them.
01:36And then when the time comes, obviously, you know, you guys will know what I've decided to do.
02:10Exactly.
02:11With Luka playing zero games in the playoffs, and we notice how we're not talking about Luka at all.
02:16Like, you would think that Luka wasn't even on the team with the limited amount that we've talked about Luka
02:22Doncic in this postseason, as if he doesn't even exist.
02:25Why?
02:26Because it's LeBron James' world.
02:29And LeBron James, I'm going to say it again, it needs to be said, is the GOAT.
02:34And just because you don't like him, does it make him less GOAT-y, okay?
02:39He's the greatest of all time because he's the greatest of all time.
02:42And you guys, the fact that some people were mad about that statement shows you that he's the GOAT.
02:49People are like, how dare LeBron not tell us what he's about to do?
02:51Of course LeBron's going to get the retirement tour that every other player, including Michael Jordan, got.
02:56Oh, how dare it?
02:57Derek Jeter and everybody else.
02:59You notice that, the double, the triple, the quadruple standard of LeBron James.
03:03And the fact that, again, the biggest story in the NBA right now, despite the Knicks, they just shot 97
03:10% from three against the Sixers in a playoff series.
03:12I swear they never missed.
03:14Everything that's going on yet, all the talk is about LeBron.
03:17Why?
03:17Because he's the GOAT.
03:19He's better than Jordan.
03:20He's better than everyone else.
03:21And just because some of you don't like him, does it make him any less GOAT-worthy?
03:27But I recognize it.
03:28Tyrone, you're crazy.
03:30You don't know what you're talking about.
03:31I can't stand LeBron.
03:33Six rigs, da-da-da-da-da.
03:34Well, this is why, okay, on this show, I never only use my opinion.
03:39You know that.
03:40Even when I'm sitting with Craig, the opinion is just one small part of the situation.
03:45Let's use data, okay?
03:47I think data is important.
03:49And right now, in the next minute or so, I'm going to put this, hopefully, to bed to where we
03:55never have to talk about it again.
03:56We can put LeBron as the GOAT, and then we can move on with our lives and figure, does the
04:00SGA, does a Wemby, does another player that's in high school right now, is he going to one day grow
04:06up and surpass LeBron in about 25 to 30 years and put up these kind of numbers?
04:11But LeBron James did just finish his age 41 season.
04:15So, let's take a look at it, everybody.
04:17Let's look at some of the all-time people in NBA history, compare them at age 41, compare LeBron James
04:24at 41, who made the second round of the playoffs, and was the best player on his team.
04:29Let's start with the greatest winner in NBA history, Bill Russell.
04:33If you don't mind, can you put on the screen his, there you go.
04:35So, Bill Russell, when he was LeBron's age, here are Bill Russell's numbers, he averaged zero points, zero rebounds, and
04:43zero assists.
04:44Now, we'll get to what LeBron did, but hey, if he's not the GOAT, and some of you don't think
04:49so, I'm sure Russell's numbers will be better.
04:51All right, some people say, well, it's not Russell, he had the best team, it was Kareem.
04:56Kareem has six titles, Kareem has a bunch of MVPs.
04:59Let's look at Kareem's great numbers.
05:01If you look at the screen right there, you'll see 11 points, little, little piddly amount of rebounds, piddly amount
05:07of assists, but hey, those are some stats, and that's, many of you guys of a certain generation, that's your
05:12GOAT.
05:13That's your person.
05:14Let's go with Magic Johnson.
05:16I mean, he has five rings, multiple MVPs.
05:19Oh, look, again, Magic, zero points, zero rebounds, zero assists.
05:24That's the guy who's in the mix to be the GOAT?
05:27Huh, all right.
05:29I know a lot of you say there's only but one GOAT.
05:31I know Craig would say that.
05:33I know Ethan downstairs would say that, and later on in the show, I'll get into why Ethan is one
05:38of the main problems amongst sports fans and has single-handedly ruined the NBA, but that'll be later in the
05:44show.
05:45Let's get to your GOAT, Michael Jordan.
05:49Let's look at his stats at 41.
05:51All right.
05:53Oh, okay.
05:54Now, while he was racking it up at the casino, as you can say, and I don't know if he
05:58went to many slot machines, but you got to figure he did after he went back for the poker table,
06:03there's no way he was going back to his room.
06:05And I just want to say for the record real fast, could you imagine a world in which down 3
06:09-2 in a series, LeBron James left New York, went to Atlantic City, gambled all night, and came back?
06:15Could you imagine that actually happening?
06:17Yeah, but for me to, again, data, data, most important thing, let's get to LeBron James' numbers when he was
06:2541.
06:26Oh, look at that.
06:27Almost 21 points, over six rebounds, over seven assists.
06:33The data's all right there.
06:34Now, I want this to all be put to bed right now.
