01:17These guys are going everywhere
01:18They want that track position

01:52And I believe he's in form
01:53So it just shows you that confidence that he's been carrying from that practice

02:04Now has completed the pass on Dundee
02:08And is starting to make tracks toward his teammate Hanacre

02:15The problem about this 250 class is that every
02:17You go back
02:18It doesn't get any easier
02:19If you think you let one guy pass you have five more behind you
02:22So might as well stay up front
02:24But good job by Dundee
02:25Settle down in his third position and try to regroup

02:29The 47 is already on the radar
02:32Bad start didn't even matter
02:34With Kitchen
02:35He's moving forward
02:37Challenging Dundee JT

02:39It's interesting to watch Dundee and Romano battle there
02:42We talked a little bit about this during Monster New Supercross
02:45But remember Romano was on Monster Yamaha Star Racing
02:48And he lost his spot to give room
02:51To riders like Caden Dundee and Landon Gordon
02:53To see Kitchen make a move there
02:54So when Romano goes by them
02:56You know he's got a little extra incentive to make the move
02:59That's a great point
03:00Yeah, Romano was one of the young stars of that team
03:02Oh, mistake by Kitchen that allows Dundee
03:06Now one of the young riders on that team to move back up
03:09Yeah, I mean it's gonna be a lot of back and forth
03:11Just one simple mistake
03:12But I love what I see from the 47
03:14He's been firing all day long
03:16From practice being that much faster
03:17And when you have that built in speed
03:19You can be a little bit more patient
03:21Levi doesn't look like that
03:23The Kitchen is wide open as he's watching his teammate get away
03:26So try to make quick work of the rookie Dundee
03:28And see if you can close that gap to the lead
03:31Still a nice bounce back for Dundee
03:33Who made his pro debut in Monster Energy Supercross
03:36And it did not go well
03:38In fact after a couple of rounds
03:39He stopped racing Supercross to refocus on this
03:44And it's going much better here in Pro Motocross
03:47With this early run for third
03:48A rider who is an amateur again just a few months ago
03:52But honestly the big upset is Romano out there
03:54Wasn't even sure if he was going to race Motocross
03:56For the Pro Circuit team
03:58It's Drew Adams out with injury for the moment
04:00Romano got the call to stay with the team
04:03At least to the early rounds
04:05Keep riding like this
04:05He's going to be with them all year running in second
04:08Yeah, and these kids, you know, they're young
04:10So there's a lot of pressure for them
04:12But they also understand that if you don't perform
04:14There's another guy that's ready to take it
04:17As you just mentioned with Romano out here
04:19So I think they got a lot to work for
04:21He's got his hands full with Levi Kitchen
04:23But early in this race he'll be fine
04:27Kitch are going to reset and go back after Dudney
04:30Here is Romano
04:31So, yeah, it was dropped by the star team
04:33Then got hurt immediately last year
04:35Was out for a long time
04:37Said he had a couple of smaller teams calling him
04:39To raise Supercross
04:41But he just had faith that
04:43A big factory level team was going to eventually call
04:46When they needed help, they did
04:47He's making the most of it
04:48Another pass
04:49Kitch is back around Dudney for third
04:51Yeah, you know, Kate tried getting
04:53But, again, Levi has a lot of speed built in
04:56So, you know, he can be patient
04:57He couldn't wait his time
04:58Because he knows ultimate
04:59He's faster than those guys

05:01It's a Kawasaki Pro Circuit 1-2-3
05:03It's been a few years since we've seen something like that
05:06It's a great time for these guys
05:07Got to find some speed himself
05:08Yeah, he'll throw back there
05:09This was once the dominant team in this 2-50 class

05:14Feels like old times out here for them
05:18Dudney going to try to hang on
05:19Now he opened some eyes
05:20Finished seventh in a moto last year
05:22Dudney when he first tipped his feet into the pro ranks late last summer
05:26And that was actually done only to get him in under the age limit
05:31The pro minimum age has moved up to 17 this year
05:36But if you raced one last year
05:38You're automatically grandfathered in
05:39So they had him race one last year
05:41He opened up some serious eyes
05:42Ayunadilla raced one more
05:44And that experience paying off for Dudney
05:46But here comes the cavalry
05:48Landon Gordon, another one of his young teammates
05:50And Cole Davies
05:51Yeah, you're a Supercross champion
05:53It doesn't stop after that
05:55You know, it continues to go
05:56But I think the good part about this
05:58That these kids, they're prepared coming in here
06:00So, you know, though they're young
06:02They're really prepared, JT
06:03They are
06:04And you know, you see that Bradford built Florida
06:07As the hometown for Landon Gordon
06:08That's a little deceiving
06:09Yes, he's located there
06:11Because that's where the Monster Yamaha Star Racing Training Facility is
06:13But he's a California kid
06:15He's surely spent a lot of time here at this racetrack
06:18On this type of dirt, this type of terrain
06:20So don't let that Florida address fool you
06:23This is more of a home race for Landon Gordon
06:24I don't think there's anything wrong with Florida address
06:27Whatever it is
06:28He's doing good
06:29But he had a whole star racing
06:31As you mentioned
06:31Their facility's up in Tallahassee area
06:34So he's got to change that license to Florida
06:38Yeah, you know, he's logged a lot of laps on this track
06:41Yeah, we're not saying anything
06:41Native Florida guy
06:42That's totally fine
06:43They've all headed your way, James
06:45So this is pretty impressive for Dudley and Gordon
06:47Look, we talked about how big the opener was
06:50For the title contenders to start on the right foot
06:52What about these young guys?

06:56You know, at one point
06:57You would almost, in no disrespect
07:00Maybe he was one of the weakest ones on here
07:02But, you know, injuries, the opportunity
07:04Got his first podium this year
07:07And his second race during Supercross
07:08So clearly he has that confidence
07:11He's just got to continue to build
07:12And this guy can be up here
07:15Battle continues between the Yamaha boys up front

07:22Yeah, this is actually a good thing for Nick
07:24Because it's been a while since he's been up here

07:28So the fact that he's got his teammate right in front of him

07:32And keeps his goals focused
07:33And now you're starting to see
07:35This field's going to close up

07:40A lot of things are going to change over the next couple laps

07:50Where he's at mentally
07:52He's had to overcome injury
07:53Just coming back from an injury
07:55Through his trap now
07:57And he's suffered a lot over the last few years
07:59I said, where are you at?
08:01And he said, what I've learnt to do
08:03Is basically kind of care less
08:05He's like, I care so much
08:07And he's like, but I need to sort of let that go
08:09But I said, okay, so you care
08:10How can you change that?
08:12Because you live for this
08:13And he's like, well, I can change it
08:15On the back end of things
08:16And still, he talks about
08:17Just being able to learn to let things go
08:20He's like, so I care
08:21I want this
08:22But when it doesn't go right
08:23Or if the bike is not perfect
08:25Or if I am not physically perfect
08:27I just have learnt to move on from that
08:29Just let those things go
08:31And that's just kind of a bit of a
08:32Mentally freeing process for Seth here
08:34Hopefully it'll work for him there
08:36As he starts to attack his permutifus championship
08:39Yeah, no, I understand it completely

08:42Because he's like, I want to care less
08:44Because I care too much on there
08:45But what he's talking about

10:20You know, Joe has been so consistent
10:21He was fantastic last year
10:24In this championship
10:24And really has been for a while
10:26And when you contrast the way Joe goes
10:28About his racing
10:29Versus a lot of the other riders in this class
10:31Thinking who can be champion
10:33Well Joe seems to find a way
10:35To be there week in and week out
10:37And the other guys
10:38Seth Hemacre in the past

10:40Who's trying to fight through the pack
10:41They've been known as what
10:43People call a cow
10:44It's crash or win
10:46And that is really difficult
10:47To be in a championship contention

11:49He's got that everything rolling
11:51His teammates in front of him
11:53And clearly he has the speed

11:59When I spoke to Levi
12:00And he was at that point
12:02Like middle of the season
12:03When things weren't going
12:04Particularly well
12:05He was suffering after
12:05That back injury
12:07The bike wasn't set up
12:08They weren't where they were
12:10Supposed to be
12:10Starts weren't good
12:11The team was struggling
12:13With that
12:13And he had his eyes already
12:15On this year
12:16This championship
12:17And part of that
12:18Was the exit of Hayden Deegan
12:20And he knew the bike
12:21Would get better
12:21He knew he physically
12:22Would get healthy again
12:23What does it do to these guys
12:25When they know
12:26It's more possible
12:28Than it perhaps was before?
12:30I mean, I think you're seeing it

12:32Just from the whole standpoint
12:34And it's not that
12:35You know, Levi was afraid
12:36Of Hayden Deegan
12:37Or he didn't think he could win
12:38But he knew how great Hayden was
