00:00:01thanks for joining us for political talk on another politipod live tonight we'll cover
00:00:07pope news this week in failure oh shoot white house edition and iced out we'll also have our
00:00:16segments election central and international news i'm tom bickle i'm hannah sold there and i'm matt
00:00:26nissenoff we'll start with pope news and there's recently been a release of an encyclical which is
00:00:39i just learned myself is is a a paper that is the official position of the catholic church
00:00:46and it's 1.4 billion followers and in this first encyclical uh encyclical that this pope has released
00:00:56it's called the magnifica humanitas and it's reversing a number of 15th century papal
00:01:04documents that had called for in uh called on catholics to invade conquer fight and subjugate
00:01:15non-christians for perpetual slavery and this pope is saying uh no actually we're against slavery
00:01:26and we're not going to pursue that sort of policy anymore we're gonna see what we can do about
00:01:32not supporting slavery which hey that's a good turn
00:01:35he also mentions this in relation to ai and how ai is something that needs to be um there's a
00:01:48culture of
00:01:49power power is what it's called directly in the document for achieving ai and he's especially
00:02:01developing
00:02:02positions and methods
00:02:03or he feels that the AI is being
00:02:07specifically
00:02:07set up to
00:02:10increase remote
00:02:12warfare which
00:02:14he's against
00:02:16so sounds like a good document
00:02:18to me you guys what do you think
00:02:20gals guys and gals
00:02:23folks
00:02:24I feel like anytime you want
00:02:28to call off
00:02:30the call
00:02:32to subjugate
00:02:34invade conquer and fight
00:02:36non-christians for perpetual
00:02:38slavery I feel like any day is a good
00:02:40day to do that yeah good
00:02:42for him better late
00:02:44than never yeah it was
00:02:46it was not great that it
00:02:48was a law I think it if I recall
00:02:50my history correctly it was
00:02:53created one year
00:02:54after Columbus landed in the
00:02:56Americas so they were basically just like
00:02:58oh new people and they're probably not
00:03:00Christians we should enslave them
00:03:02and you know we don't have to talk
00:03:04about the several hundred year
00:03:06ramifications of that
00:03:08so yeah it's always good
00:03:10to go back and change that
00:03:12I think it's also good to acknowledge
00:03:15that you know
00:03:16the slave trade directly came from that
00:03:18you know here in America as well as
00:03:20elsewhere
00:03:23and I think it's good
00:03:24to have this
00:03:26you know commentary about
00:03:28AI and war you know one of the
00:03:29I don't remember if it I think it was
00:03:34open AI or somebody who was
00:03:35originally like you know
00:03:37signed a deal with the
00:03:38Department of Justice to let them do
00:03:40like whatever they wanted with their
00:03:42AI and then they're like wait we don't
00:03:44like that like kids we don't like that you
00:03:46can just set it up to just you know
00:03:47have unmanned
00:03:49attacks
00:03:52so yes I think that these are good
00:03:55one
00:03:56long long overdue
00:03:58and one
00:04:00prescient
00:04:01you know it shouldn't be
00:04:02prescient but it is
00:04:05exactly he deserves credit
00:04:07because he did it
00:04:08and
00:04:09nobody else is really
00:04:11bothered as you mentioned it was
00:04:12the mid 1400s 1452 when a previous
00:04:16pope I believe by the same by the
00:04:19same name
00:04:21had okayed Portugal's
00:04:25actions in the slave trade
00:04:26and that sort of helped kick it off
00:04:29and you mentioned Columbus
00:04:30Columbus of course famously not only
00:04:32taking on slave but slavery but
00:04:36also mass genocide and wiping out
00:04:39entire groups of people entire
00:04:41nations of people
00:04:43and so hopefully that is covered by
00:04:46this as well
00:04:48but clearly a this is a war the issues
00:04:52of war are clearly an issue that this
00:04:54pope is taking
00:04:56seriously and putting forward
00:05:00in his speeches and his actions and
00:05:02his in this paper so that's all to the
00:05:07good
00:05:08and there's an actual American leader we
00:05:10can actually support and be proud of
00:05:14whether you are of his religious
00:05:18flavor or not
00:05:22okay anything else about the pope before
00:05:24we move on
00:05:26uh no
00:05:28are the hat shoes still by Prada
00:05:33i don't know
00:05:36somehow i've let that slip past me man i
00:05:38apologize i don't know what i was
00:05:39thinking
00:05:39if you feel so inclined to learn about
00:05:42this history the the one law was
00:05:44called the pontifex romanus which i
00:05:47just happened to know off the top of
00:05:48my head and i knew the other one but
00:05:49it's it's gone with me right now but
00:05:51good up
00:05:52it's not
00:05:54it's not
00:05:55no because the pope doesn't have sex
00:05:59i mean you can hook a brother up i mean
00:06:02that's true
00:06:05to be honest some of the previous
00:06:08popes
00:06:08not sort of strain
00:06:10that's true
00:06:14in theory
00:06:16yeah so looking into the history of it is
00:06:19really actually quite fascinating
00:06:21so many uh
00:06:23so many juxtapositions
00:06:26and particularly the last couple of popes and
00:06:28uh
00:06:29and this one specifically as well
00:06:32okay well we will catch up with the pope on
00:06:36another occasion
00:06:36kudos to the pope
00:06:38and we will move on to our first segment
00:06:41which will be
00:06:41election central
00:06:45a couple of things have happened this past
00:06:47well two weeks week and a half or so
00:06:51louisiana held a primary election
00:06:53and actually
00:06:55for the
00:06:56of the races that happened
00:06:59one that i'm going to particularly mention
00:07:00is the
00:07:02race to fill the
00:07:04open u.s senate seat
00:07:05in louisiana
00:07:07kind of interesting
00:07:08in that neither of the parties
00:07:10actually picked the nominee
00:07:12in louisiana they have that
00:07:14system where you have to have
00:07:16a candidate has to have over 50 percent of the vote
00:07:19in order to
00:07:20outright gain the nomination
00:07:24neither party had that
00:07:25they were both in the upper 40s
00:07:27but republicans
00:07:28had an upper 40 candidate
00:07:30and the democrats
00:07:31had a candidate
00:07:32got up in the upper 40
00:07:33so that means there'll have to be runoffs
00:07:35for both parties
00:07:36to choose
00:07:37who will be
00:07:38each party's nominee
00:07:39for the senate
00:07:41race in november
00:07:43so
00:07:44louisianans
00:07:45we'll see you back at the polls
00:07:46on june 27
00:07:50kentucky
00:07:52well actually
00:07:53is there anything
00:07:54anyone have anything
00:07:56on louisiana
00:07:57before we
00:07:57move on to kentucky
00:08:00nope
00:08:00nope
00:08:02okay
00:08:04louisiana i believe
00:08:05had a race that was actually
00:08:06canceled
00:08:07due to some of the
00:08:08redistricting shenanigans
00:08:10of the republicans
00:08:11and
00:08:12speaking of republican shenanigans
00:08:14let's move on to kentucky
00:08:17uh
00:08:17maga's big day
00:08:19in kentucky
00:08:19their primary
00:08:21had
00:08:21had a number of
00:08:23maga endorsed candidates
00:08:25who won
00:08:26and pretty handily
00:08:29in the fourth congressional seat
00:08:31which was held by libertarian
00:08:33thomas massey
00:08:36that's changed hands
00:08:37in the primary
00:08:38to a republican
00:08:40nominee
00:08:41and that's because
00:08:43he was really wiped out
00:08:45he was
00:08:46uh
00:08:47so massey was targeted
00:08:48by maga
00:08:50and it seems to have been
00:08:52quite
00:08:53affected
00:08:54in his case
00:08:55uh
00:08:56although
00:08:58massey has been a leader
00:08:59in the
00:09:00release of the epstein files
00:09:02and making that information
00:09:05public
00:09:05or possibly
00:09:06making it public
00:09:08uh
00:09:08getting the law passed
00:09:10and following in pursuit of
00:09:11why it's not being acted on
00:09:13by the
00:09:16executive
00:09:17uh
00:09:18wing
00:09:18the executive
00:09:19branch of government
00:09:21and
00:09:23in this loss
00:09:24he has also
00:09:25since then
00:09:26uh
00:09:27the primary
00:09:27made a number of public statements
00:09:30where he's just starting to name the people
00:09:31who are in the epstein files
00:09:34so
00:09:35all of that
00:09:36waiting for the epstein list
00:09:38uh
00:09:38the unredacted epstein list
00:09:39is
00:09:42taking
00:09:42uh
00:09:43uh
00:09:44is taking a hit
00:09:45so to speak
00:09:46because thomas massey is
00:09:48not going quietly
00:09:49he is
00:09:50mentioning all these names
00:09:51and perhaps the
00:09:52libertarians
00:09:53will
00:09:54have a different view of maga
00:09:57and the republicans
00:09:58after this
00:09:58having one of their elected officials
00:10:01wiped out
00:10:02by
00:10:02maga
00:10:03we'll see how they respond
00:10:06and
00:10:08um
00:10:09um
00:10:09also
00:10:10kentucky famously had
00:10:13senator
00:10:14mitch mcconnell
00:10:15who
00:10:17is
00:10:17perhaps best known on
00:10:19working the
00:10:20supreme court justices
00:10:22and
00:10:23undermining democratic
00:10:24nominees
00:10:26to the
00:10:26to be justices
00:10:28and
00:10:29enforcing
00:10:31uh
00:10:32conservatives
00:10:32onto the court
00:10:34to the detriment of the nation
00:10:36some would say
00:10:36uh
00:10:38me being one of them
00:10:40uh
00:10:40however
00:10:41in this race
00:10:42he is somewhat of a pariah
00:10:44because he's not maga
00:10:46and
00:10:47the republican
00:10:49who is running
00:10:49andy barr
00:10:50the uh
00:10:52media down there
00:10:54has said that he
00:10:54worked very hard
00:10:56to
00:10:56not mention
00:10:58mcconnell
00:10:59not be seen with mcconnell
00:11:00even though it's
00:11:01mcconnell's seat
00:11:02he's running for
00:11:04in any case
00:11:05of the
00:11:06both parties
00:11:07had
00:11:07a half dozen
00:11:08or more candidates
00:11:09on the ballot
00:11:11andy barr
00:11:12won the republican
00:11:12nominee
00:11:13uh
00:11:14not a nomination
00:11:15and democrat
00:11:16charles
00:11:17booker
00:11:19won the democratic
00:11:20nomination
00:11:21which means
00:11:23the next senator
00:11:24from kentucky
00:11:24will be andy barr
00:11:28uh
00:11:28anything on kentucky
00:11:30folks
00:11:33uh
00:11:34you first
00:11:34i was gonna say
00:11:36it's ironic
00:11:36that the people
00:11:37we talked about
00:11:38were epstein and bar
00:11:42just put it out there
00:11:43yeah
00:11:44nice
00:11:44you know i'm
00:11:45slightly mixed emotions
00:11:47about thomas massey
00:11:48all of a sudden
00:11:48he's grown
00:11:49uh
00:11:49a conscience
00:11:50or a spine
00:11:51or
00:11:52something
00:11:52uh
00:11:53at this late date
00:11:55good for him
00:11:56better late than never
00:11:57but holy cats
00:11:58are we pretty close
00:11:59to never
00:11:59as far as when
00:12:00it's gonna matter
00:12:01um
00:12:02i'm glad he did
00:12:03something of the right thing
00:12:04and sticking to
00:12:06one scruple
00:12:08uh
00:12:09and that is
00:12:10apparently the epstein list
00:12:12when so many other people
00:12:13are prepared to
00:12:14forget it
00:12:15uh
00:12:16but other than that
00:12:17he helped trump
00:12:18get to the big show
00:12:20he is part of the congress
00:12:21the republican congress
00:12:23who have given away
00:12:25all their power
00:12:26to one
00:12:27john
00:12:28don trump
00:12:30and
00:12:32and
00:12:33uh
00:12:34he's
00:12:34he's as complicit
00:12:35as anybody else
00:12:36he's uh
00:12:38he's uh
00:12:38one of the people
00:12:39that thought the leopards
00:12:40wouldn't eat his face
00:12:41guess what
00:12:42they're gonna eat your face
00:12:44they'll get around to you
00:12:45eventually
00:12:46there's no
00:12:49there's no
00:12:49there's no upside
00:12:50and uh
00:12:51he helped
00:12:51he helped the guy
00:12:52to the big show
00:12:53and uh
00:12:53i don't feel bad
00:12:55for him at all
00:12:56i'm sure he won't miss a meal
00:12:57but uh
00:12:58i don't feel bad
00:12:59for him at all
00:12:59that he's out of the big
00:13:00uh
00:13:01insider trading club
00:13:02that we fund
00:13:03in this country
00:13:04for our
00:13:05servants
00:13:06uh
00:13:08and uh
00:13:08you know
00:13:09we'll be sorry
00:13:09to see him go
00:13:10and hand his
00:13:11uh
00:13:12insider trading
00:13:13ticket
00:13:13off to somebody else
00:13:15poor guy
00:13:16um
00:13:17yeah
00:13:18if you don't want
00:13:18to give away
00:13:19all your power
00:13:20as a congressman
00:13:21don't give away
00:13:22all your power
00:13:23as a congressman
00:13:24stupid
00:13:25this is what happens
00:13:26now you don't have
00:13:27any power
00:13:27stupid
00:13:28god damn it
00:13:30tell the others
00:13:31you fucking idiot
00:13:33it's so dumb
00:13:34and and
00:13:35they gave it
00:13:36they gave it away
00:13:37themselves
00:13:38now he puts
00:13:39whoever he wants
00:13:39in the seat
00:13:40he should be
00:13:41beholden to his
00:13:42his uh
00:13:43his people
00:13:44his electorate
00:13:45the people who
00:13:46vote or don't vote
00:13:47for him
00:13:47but
00:13:48nope
00:13:49nope
00:13:49now you're uh
00:13:50you're at the
00:13:51whim of the mad king
00:13:52so
00:13:54good luck
00:13:55see you at the mailbox
00:13:56dummy
00:13:56yeah it is
00:13:58it is remarkable
00:13:59that somebody
00:14:00who has helped him
00:14:01so much
00:14:01somebody who's helped
00:14:02trump so much
00:14:03has wound up
00:14:04being targeted
00:14:04by him
00:14:05but you're absolutely
00:14:06right
00:14:06that's what he does
00:14:07every time
00:14:08that's what
00:14:08trump is known
00:14:09for
00:14:10he's known
00:14:10for turning
00:14:11on his allies
00:14:12as much as
00:14:12he'll turn
00:14:13on anybody else
00:14:13and uh
00:14:15they love it
00:14:15when he's
00:14:16attacking somebody
00:14:17else
00:14:17but then all of
00:14:18a sudden
00:14:18they turn around
00:14:19and jeff flake
00:14:19out in arizona
00:14:20out
00:14:21this guy
00:14:22uh
00:14:23in kentucky
00:14:23out
00:14:24and uh
00:14:25dozens of others
00:14:27uh
00:14:28anybody who
00:14:29gave the slightest
00:14:31uh
00:14:32doubt
00:14:32or the slightest
00:14:34disagreement
00:14:35you're out
00:14:36you're done
00:14:36get the hell out of here
00:14:37and trump will scare you
00:14:38right
00:14:39and we'll
00:14:39we'll attack you
00:14:40till you go
00:14:41and uh
00:14:42people in kentucky
00:14:43i mean look
00:14:44this is the voters
00:14:45that did this
00:14:46it may be that
00:14:48uh
00:14:48the maga
00:14:49gave the endorsement
00:14:50and blah blah blah
00:14:51but this is kentucky
00:14:52this is kentucky citizens
00:14:53this is what they are
00:14:55this is who they are
00:14:56and they uh
00:14:58put uh
00:14:59andy bar in
00:14:59as the
00:15:00republican nominee
00:15:01for the senate
00:15:03with the odds
00:15:04on favored
00:15:05to win
00:15:05and they ran
00:15:06massey out of office
00:15:07and libertarian
00:15:09out you go baby
00:15:10um
00:15:12because he wouldn't
00:15:14co-sign
00:15:15pedophilia
00:15:16right
00:15:17this administration
00:15:18will not allow you
00:15:19to hang on to
00:15:20any
00:15:21single
00:15:22dusty
00:15:24lost
00:15:24and found
00:15:25in the couch
00:15:25cushions
00:15:26principle
00:15:26or moral
00:15:27or you know
00:15:28any
00:15:29there's no line
00:15:30they won't make you cross
00:15:31you'd think they'd draw
00:15:32there'd be something
00:15:33you could hold on to
00:15:35pedophilia
00:15:36that's as
00:15:37pretty much as low
00:15:38as it gets
00:15:38i don't know
00:15:39you'd have to
00:15:39you'd have to really think
00:15:40hard to get any worse
00:15:42than that
00:15:42and yet
00:15:43they won't let you stay
00:15:44anti-pedophilia
00:15:45they will throw you out
00:15:46on your ass
00:15:47this is not a good
00:15:48group of people
00:15:50well we're seeing it
00:15:52i do want to
00:15:53i do want to say
00:15:54about mitch mcconnell
00:15:55first of all
00:15:57obviously he's
00:15:58done so much
00:16:00damage to our
00:16:01country
00:16:02um
00:16:02but i just want to
00:16:03mention like
00:16:04i i can't help
00:16:06but
00:16:07watch how much
00:16:08he was able
00:16:09to do
00:16:10you know
00:16:11in comparison
00:16:12to how
00:16:12little
00:16:13you know
00:16:14oftentimes the democrats
00:16:15are like we have no
00:16:15power you know
00:16:16we're not the
00:16:17people in power
00:16:18whatever whatever
00:16:19and i mean like yeah
00:16:20they don't own any
00:16:21branch of the
00:16:21government right now
00:16:22but just like
00:16:24mcconnell is the
00:16:25kind of guy who
00:16:26never gave up
00:16:27and i just like
00:16:28wish that
00:16:30people who i
00:16:31agreed with
00:16:32would have the
00:16:33same level of
00:16:33tenacity that he
00:16:34did
00:16:36the little turtle
00:16:37that could
00:16:38yeah
00:16:39i mean i
00:16:40guess tenacity
00:16:41um
00:16:44there might be
00:16:45another name for
00:16:46right
00:16:46advice into a
00:16:47virtue there
00:16:48somehow but
00:16:49okay
00:16:49you know i'll
00:16:50take i'll take
00:16:50that too
00:16:51you know i just
00:16:52feel like there's
00:16:55the
00:16:56you know and so
00:16:57much of it was
00:16:58turning virtues into
00:16:59vices you know
00:17:00them being like
00:17:00we don't want to
00:17:01be underhanded
00:17:02you know we want
00:17:03to believe in the
00:17:03system and then
00:17:04now they have no
00:17:04power
00:17:06yeah that hitler
00:17:07boy he really
00:17:07stuck to his guns
00:17:09you gotta give
00:17:10him credit
00:17:11he had a crazy
00:17:12idea but he saw
00:17:13it through
00:17:13uh
00:17:14yeah i don't
00:17:15know uh
00:17:16that's that's
00:17:17some cockeyed
00:17:17praise right
00:17:18there for mitch
00:17:19mcconnell i don't
00:17:19know if i can
00:17:20co-sign on that
00:17:21it's not so much
00:17:22about praise it's
00:17:23much as much as
00:17:24just like it's
00:17:26frustrating to me
00:17:27as a progressive
00:17:27to watch
00:17:28progressives say
00:17:29like you know
00:17:30like we're falling
00:17:31into fascism and
00:17:32then be like well
00:17:32there's nothing we
00:17:33can do about it
00:17:34we don't even
00:17:34have power and
00:17:35it's like mcconnell
00:17:35wouldn't have
00:17:36never done he
00:17:37would have been
00:17:37like that i will
00:17:38co-sign i agree
00:17:39with you there
00:17:40you know he'd
00:17:41have been like
00:17:41oh no we'll
00:17:42find a way to
00:17:42fuck this up
00:17:44well right
00:17:44if we ever try
00:17:46anything at all
00:17:47yeah we'll find a
00:17:48way to screw it
00:17:49up for sure
00:17:50well yeah when
00:17:51he was the leader
00:17:52and they were in
00:17:52the minority he
00:17:54used the legislative
00:17:55process to slow
00:17:56things down which
00:17:58actually both parties
00:17:59do but he was
00:18:00better at it and
00:18:01he used it to throw
00:18:02in the wrench into
00:18:04the monkey works or
00:18:05whatever that is
00:18:07monkey wrench into
00:18:08the regular works i
00:18:10don't know whatever
00:18:10they call it
00:18:11he was able to
00:18:12screw things up
00:18:13and to do it
00:18:14very effectively
00:18:15and even block
00:18:18nominees back when
00:18:19he was and then
00:18:20when he got back
00:18:20in power use the
00:18:22process to prevent
00:18:24democratic presidents
00:18:25from getting
00:18:28supreme court
00:18:29justices that they
00:18:30wanted which is
00:18:32usually a given
00:18:33when a president
00:18:33says you know
00:18:34goes through that
00:18:35process a couple of
00:18:36things that are
00:18:37usually assured are
00:18:38the president's going
00:18:39to get who he wants
00:18:40in this cabinet
00:18:41he has to ask for
00:18:42consent but basically
00:18:44just asking for
00:18:45consent is saying
00:18:46you know it's a
00:18:47courtesy please allow
00:18:49me to have my
00:18:49cabinet that i want
00:18:51and then the same
00:18:52goes for nominees to
00:18:54certain higher
00:18:55offices and mcconnell
00:18:56was the one who said
00:18:57no fuck you
00:18:58this is not happening
00:18:59you're not getting
00:19:00what you want
00:19:00it's only going to be
00:19:02what i want
00:19:02and so yeah i mean
00:19:05very uh very
00:19:07underhandedly and
00:19:08very uh the
00:19:10democrats certainly
00:19:11are not uh as
00:19:13effective at that
00:19:14certainly true
00:19:15um all right well
00:19:21now the republicans
00:19:23won't even talk
00:19:23about him now the
00:19:25republicans in
00:19:25kentucky are finding
00:19:28ways to avoid him
00:19:29avoid being with
00:19:30him avoid being
00:19:31seen with him
00:19:32talking about him
00:19:32mentioning his name
00:19:33and that's paid
00:19:35off because
00:19:36kentucky voters
00:19:37have in this case
00:19:39elected andy
00:19:40bar as their
00:19:41republican nominee
00:19:42and uh charlie
00:19:44booker has the
00:19:45democratic nominee
00:19:46has a has quite a
00:19:49job ahead of him
00:19:50between now and
00:19:50upill battle
00:19:51yeah we'll see what
00:19:52happens
00:19:55and that brings us
00:19:57over to the next
00:19:58primary which was
00:20:00the runoff primary
00:20:02down in texas
00:20:04there's a lot there
00:20:05but what i will say
00:20:06is we return to
00:20:11texas the establishment
00:20:13ambassador john cronin
00:20:15was absolutely wiped
00:20:17out almost two to one
00:20:18in the uh results
00:20:20by affair leading
00:20:23to divorce
00:20:24mega and alleged
00:20:26lunatic
00:20:26ken paxton
00:20:28and ken paxton
00:20:30will now represent
00:20:31the family value
00:20:32party in the
00:20:33general election
00:20:34as the republican
00:20:35nominee
00:20:36uh let's hope
00:20:38that the divorce
00:20:39settlement can
00:20:40settle in a little
00:20:42bit more
00:20:42before the
00:20:43november election
00:20:44and he can
00:20:45represent the
00:20:46family values
00:20:49we will see
00:20:50there's the
00:20:51racist set
00:20:51then in texas
00:20:52the republicans
00:20:54had to get
00:20:54through their
00:20:55nomination process
00:20:56which they did
00:20:57and that's
00:20:59election central
00:21:01moving on to
00:21:02our next issue
00:21:03that's this
00:21:05week in failure
00:21:07i guess technically
00:21:08we could have
00:21:09included the
00:21:10voters from
00:21:12kentucky and
00:21:13texas in this
00:21:13but we are
00:21:15talking about
00:21:16our individuals
00:21:16uh to start
00:21:18this off
00:21:19tulsi gabbard
00:21:22uh republican
00:21:23agent
00:21:23or russian
00:21:25agent
00:21:26allegedly
00:21:27and national
00:21:29uh intelligence
00:21:30uh leader
00:21:31has either
00:21:33been thrown
00:21:34out by the
00:21:34white house
00:21:35and then allowed
00:21:36to cover
00:21:36by saying
00:21:36she quit
00:21:37or she did
00:21:38quit
00:21:39due to her
00:21:40husband's
00:21:40help
00:21:41now usually
00:21:42in washington
00:21:43when you get
00:21:43to the story
00:21:44of i just
00:21:45want to spend
00:21:45time with my
00:21:46family
00:21:48that's usually
00:21:49a clear signal
00:21:50that you have
00:21:51been run out
00:21:52that somebody
00:21:53has come to
00:21:53you and said
00:21:54you're going to
00:21:55announce that
00:21:55you are spending
00:21:56time with your
00:21:57family now
00:21:57and you're going
00:21:59to do it
00:22:00and it's not
00:22:00because that's
00:22:03your primary
00:22:03motive
00:22:04it's because
00:22:05you've been
00:22:05told to say
00:22:06that
00:22:06right the
00:22:07rhetorical
00:22:07equivalent of
00:22:08your dog
00:22:08being sent
00:22:09to live
00:22:10upstate
00:22:12took him
00:22:12out and
00:22:13shot him
00:22:14yep
00:22:16and
00:22:18so there
00:22:19and
00:22:19and that
00:22:20i mentioned
00:22:21the russian
00:22:21agent thing
00:22:22allegedly
00:22:22which is
00:22:23something that's
00:22:24not new
00:22:24when she ran
00:22:26her presidential
00:22:26campaign
00:22:28even before
00:22:29that she
00:22:30as an
00:22:31elected
00:22:31official in
00:22:32hawaii
00:22:32there were
00:22:33some
00:22:35people were
00:22:36noting how
00:22:37at
00:22:38certain
00:22:39meetings
00:22:39and international
00:22:40meetings she
00:22:40would sit at
00:22:41the table
00:22:41with putin
00:22:42and is there
00:22:44something going
00:22:44on that we
00:22:45just don't know
00:22:45about and
00:22:46then later on
00:22:47during the
00:22:48presidential
00:22:49campaign a lot
00:22:50of information
00:22:51came out that
00:22:51said yeah this
00:22:52is pretty much
00:22:53the case
00:22:53she's working
00:22:55as an agent
00:22:55for the russians
00:22:56and she's not
00:22:57the only one
00:22:57not even the
00:22:58only republican
00:22:59candidate for
00:23:00president
00:23:02and as we
00:23:04know with
00:23:05their agent
00:23:06who's in the
00:23:07white house
00:23:07now that
00:23:08that's not
00:23:09something once
00:23:10again voters
00:23:11on the republican
00:23:12side perfectly
00:23:13fine with that
00:23:14no problem
00:23:16anything on
00:23:18tulsi gabbard
00:23:19before we move
00:23:20on to our next
00:23:21week in failure
00:23:22candidates
00:23:24i feel like
00:23:25uh i feel
00:23:26bad for putin
00:23:28where's he
00:23:29going to get
00:23:29us all
00:23:29all his
00:23:29information
00:23:30now
00:23:30you have to
00:23:31slip up
00:23:32marco rubio's
00:23:33oversized shoes
00:23:36they could bug
00:23:36the oval office
00:23:37but trump
00:23:37doesn't fucking
00:23:38know anything
00:23:41well right
00:23:42for putin
00:23:43it's just bad
00:23:44bad month for
00:23:44putin feel bad
00:23:47there you go
00:23:47he can always
00:23:48go to china
00:23:48and make
00:23:49himself look
00:23:49much better
00:23:50than trump
00:23:51there you go
00:23:51oh wait no
00:23:52he's already
00:23:52done that
00:23:55gotta be
00:23:55something else
00:23:58well we'll
00:23:59see and now
00:23:59speaking of
00:24:00such bizarre
00:24:03twists and
00:24:04turns
00:24:04jared polis
00:24:06who's the
00:24:06democrat
00:24:08in colorado
00:24:09governor in
00:24:10colorado
00:24:12there is a
00:24:13mega
00:24:14clerk of
00:24:15courts
00:24:17who had
00:24:18been
00:24:18actually
00:24:19sentenced
00:24:20for allowing
00:24:21MAGA
00:24:22folks to
00:24:23get into
00:24:23the ballads
00:24:24and into
00:24:24the election
00:24:27paperwork
00:24:27she allowed
00:24:29them to
00:24:29come in
00:24:30and have
00:24:31a free
00:24:31hand
00:24:32looking at
00:24:33all these
00:24:34materials
00:24:34and she
00:24:35was found
00:24:36guilty
00:24:36sentenced
00:24:37sent to
00:24:38jail
00:24:38and governor
00:24:39polis has
00:24:40now
00:24:41decided to
00:24:42pardon her
00:24:43or release
00:24:45release her
00:24:47from
00:24:48incarceration
00:24:49for parole
00:24:51so i guess
00:24:53technically she's
00:24:53still guilty
00:24:54she just doesn't
00:24:56have to finish
00:24:56her sentence
00:24:57that the
00:24:59that she was
00:24:59given
00:25:02and
00:25:03uh
00:25:04democrats
00:25:05i think
00:25:05just
00:25:05huh
00:25:07i said
00:25:07what's latin
00:25:08for close
00:25:08enough
00:25:10nice
00:25:12well hannah
00:25:13you're
00:25:13aren't you
00:25:14from out
00:25:14there in
00:25:15colorado
00:25:15i am from
00:25:16colorado
00:25:16and i
00:25:17think
00:25:17polis
00:25:18was
00:25:20i think
00:25:21he was
00:25:22a local
00:25:23representative
00:25:24maybe in
00:25:25boulder
00:25:25when i was
00:25:26in college
00:25:26and he's
00:25:28been like
00:25:28a pretty
00:25:29good
00:25:30politician
00:25:30up until
00:25:31this point
00:25:31i don't
00:25:32know
00:25:32uh
00:25:33what's
00:25:34happening
00:25:34here
00:25:35um
00:25:37some people
00:25:38said that
00:25:38it's
00:25:39statesmen
00:25:40some people
00:25:41said that
00:25:41it's you
00:25:42know
00:25:42whatever
00:25:42but it
00:25:43just it
00:25:44feels like
00:25:44such a
00:25:45bad
00:25:46um
00:25:50even like
00:25:50the optic
00:25:51like apart
00:25:51from the
00:25:52obviousness
00:25:52of it
00:25:53the optics
00:25:53of it
00:25:54are bad
00:25:54and i'm
00:25:54pretty
00:25:54anti-incarceration
00:25:55in general
00:25:56but i mean
00:25:57like this
00:25:58is somebody
00:25:58who helped
00:25:59trump win
00:25:59the election
00:26:00he trump
00:26:00pardoned her
00:26:01but that
00:26:02doesn't mean
00:26:02anything
00:26:02because it's
00:26:03a state
00:26:03crime and
00:26:04he doesn't
00:26:04have control
00:26:04over that
00:26:06um
00:26:06and colorado
00:26:07is pretty
00:26:09it's a blue
00:26:10state but it
00:26:10has a lot
00:26:10of red
00:26:11history
00:26:11but the red
00:26:12tends to be
00:26:13pretty
00:26:15libertarian
00:26:15and pretty
00:26:16like anti-trump
00:26:18i mean like
00:26:18if you remember
00:26:19just a few
00:26:19months ago
00:26:20um before
00:26:21the last
00:26:21election
00:26:22they voted
00:26:23to take
00:26:23him off
00:26:24the ballot
00:26:25um which
00:26:26then got i think
00:26:27stayed by the
00:26:28supreme court
00:26:28or something
00:26:29so there's
00:26:30not a lot
00:26:30i mean there's
00:26:31mega faithful
00:26:31it's where
00:26:32bobert is
00:26:32from too
00:26:33but there's
00:26:34a lot of
00:26:35mega skeptics
00:26:36even amongst
00:26:36the conservatives
00:26:37there so i
00:26:38don't know
00:26:38what the move
00:26:39was here
00:26:42um and uh
00:26:44it's a little
00:26:44bit out of
00:26:45left field
00:26:45for me
00:26:45honestly
00:26:46i'm kind
00:26:46of surprised
00:26:49yep and
00:26:50bobert by
00:26:52by uh
00:26:52by coincidence
00:26:53there lauren
00:26:54bobert
00:26:55from congress
00:26:56she's also
00:26:57one of those
00:26:57more libertarian
00:26:59leaning
00:26:59members of
00:27:01the republican
00:27:02caucus and
00:27:03one that is
00:27:04being targeted
00:27:04now by
00:27:05magan
00:27:05she's been
00:27:07very involved
00:27:09with the
00:27:09epstein file
00:27:10release
00:27:10she's seen
00:27:12the documentation
00:27:13unredacted
00:27:14and that
00:27:15really drove
00:27:15her over
00:27:16the edge
00:27:16and so
00:27:19although she
00:27:20is very
00:27:21mega and
00:27:22very right
00:27:23wing and
00:27:24a very
00:27:25um certainly
00:27:27extreme by
00:27:29anybody's
00:27:29measure
00:27:30she's all
00:27:32on board
00:27:33with the
00:27:34epstein files
00:27:36being released
00:27:37unredacted
00:27:37and there
00:27:38being a
00:27:39cost for
00:27:41having been
00:27:41involved in
00:27:42the pedophile
00:27:43ring that
00:27:44trump and
00:27:45others were
00:27:46involved in
00:27:48and so
00:27:49she is now
00:27:50on the short
00:27:50list of
00:27:51you you know
00:27:52you were all
00:27:53for me and
00:27:54you helped
00:27:54me and you
00:27:54did all these
00:27:54things for me
00:27:55and now
00:27:56i'm gonna
00:27:56screw you
00:27:57well and
00:27:58interestingly
00:27:58her district
00:28:00was actually
00:28:02redrawn
00:28:02not that
00:28:03long ago
00:28:04in a way
00:28:04that would
00:28:05have made
00:28:05her definitely
00:28:05not voted
00:28:06in but
00:28:06then she
00:28:07and others
00:28:08complained and
00:28:09so they
00:28:09re-redrew it
00:28:11because colorado
00:28:11it's like it
00:28:12has a lot
00:28:12of um you
00:28:15know it's a
00:28:15square so
00:28:16if you look
00:28:16at my camera
00:28:17like the
00:28:17population is
00:28:18mostly in
00:28:19here and
00:28:19then the
00:28:19outsides
00:28:20are farmland
00:28:20and so she
00:28:21was over
00:28:21here and
00:28:22now she's
00:28:22over here
00:28:23in windsor
00:28:24where my
00:28:24grandma and
00:28:25grandpa used
00:28:25to live
00:28:27um but it's
00:28:28it's like right
00:28:28next to where
00:28:29the rest of my
00:28:29family lives
00:28:30which is definitely
00:28:31all gonna vote
00:28:31blue but they
00:28:32uh they
00:28:34reconsidered her
00:28:35redistricting
00:28:35after outcry
00:28:37another thing
00:28:38that would not
00:28:39have happened
00:28:39the other
00:28:40direction
00:28:41right right
00:28:42well that's
00:28:44true and
00:28:45yeah she
00:28:45jumped ship
00:28:46for a different
00:28:47congressional
00:28:47district when
00:28:48it was clear
00:28:49that she was
00:28:50going to get
00:28:50screwed on the
00:28:51redistricting
00:28:52and uh so
00:28:54you know look
00:28:55she supported
00:28:56it the
00:28:57colorado voters
00:28:58support her
00:29:00and as you
00:29:01say it
00:29:01might be in
00:29:02only specific
00:29:05patches of
00:29:06colorado but
00:29:06the support is
00:29:07there and she's
00:29:08been able to
00:29:08get in and
00:29:10all she's done
00:29:11is led to her
00:29:12own situation
00:29:15where she is
00:29:15now where she's
00:29:17the target
00:29:18as tom said
00:29:19earlier you know
00:29:20the leopard's
00:29:20gonna eat your
00:29:21face too and
00:29:22you just ignore
00:29:22it until it
00:29:23happens okay
00:29:25that's where
00:29:26we are
00:29:31moving on
00:29:32we're gonna
00:29:32go on to
00:29:33our next
00:29:33issue which
00:29:34is oh
00:29:35shoot
00:29:36white house
00:29:37edition
00:29:39you may have
00:29:40heard this
00:29:40there is
00:29:42a situation
00:29:43where a
00:29:45gunman
00:29:46said to be
00:29:47a lone
00:29:47gunman
00:29:48had a
00:29:49revolver
00:29:50went up
00:29:50to the
00:29:50to one of
00:29:51the gates
00:29:52of the
00:29:52white house
00:29:53property
00:29:53sort of
00:29:55the corner
00:29:55of the
00:29:57property
00:29:57and came
00:29:59up to
00:29:59the guard
00:30:01shack
00:30:01and started
00:30:02shooting at
00:30:03the guards
00:30:05in turn
00:30:06the two guards
00:30:07started to
00:30:08return fire
00:30:09and I
00:30:09understand
00:30:10others came
00:30:10out
00:30:10obviously
00:30:11in support
00:30:12of them
00:30:13but the
00:30:14two started
00:30:15shooting back
00:30:16at the
00:30:16shooter
00:30:16and
00:30:18the end
00:30:19result was
00:30:20that the
00:30:22suspect
00:30:22was killed
00:30:24and that
00:30:24a bystander
00:30:25was wounded
00:30:27now being
00:30:28a bystander
00:30:29if this guy
00:30:29is at the
00:30:30corner of the
00:30:30property
00:30:31and shooting
00:30:31at the
00:30:32white house
00:30:32then it's
00:30:35not unreasonable
00:30:36to believe
00:30:37that the
00:30:37bystander
00:30:37was not
00:30:38standing
00:30:39on the
00:30:40white house
00:30:40grounds
00:30:41probably outside
00:30:42probably on
00:30:43the street
00:30:44so
00:30:46how is it
00:30:47that this
00:30:47guy got
00:30:47wounded
00:30:49seems like
00:30:50somebody's
00:30:50fire
00:30:53was
00:30:54you know
00:30:55went wide
00:30:56or went
00:30:57somewhere else
00:30:57that wasn't
00:30:58supposed to be
00:30:58so there was
00:31:00a guy who
00:31:00was wounded
00:31:01as well
00:31:02the secret
00:31:03service at the
00:31:03time said
00:31:04they couldn't
00:31:04really comment
00:31:05on it
00:31:05they didn't
00:31:05know what
00:31:06happened
00:31:06there'll have
00:31:07to be
00:31:07an investigation
00:31:08which is
00:31:09once again
00:31:10usually
00:31:11that sort
00:31:11of DC
00:31:12speak for
00:31:13oh yeah
00:31:13we shot
00:31:15him
00:31:15not on
00:31:15purpose
00:31:16perhaps
00:31:16you know
00:31:17it was
00:31:18part of
00:31:18the returning
00:31:20of fire
00:31:20and just
00:31:22happened
00:31:22but
00:31:24the denial
00:31:25of any
00:31:25involvement
00:31:26and needing
00:31:28to be
00:31:28investigated
00:31:29usually is
00:31:30the first
00:31:31step to
00:31:31yeah
00:31:32we
00:31:32you know
00:31:33he was
00:31:35wounded
00:31:35because of
00:31:35our fire
00:31:36we'll see
00:31:37what happens
00:31:37they do
00:31:38you know
00:31:39they should
00:31:39investigate it
00:31:40they will
00:31:40tell us
00:31:41what they
00:31:42find
00:31:43and
00:31:44probably
00:31:44about
00:31:44two or
00:31:45three weeks
00:31:45after the
00:31:46news cycle
00:31:46has
00:31:47played out
00:31:48that
00:31:49this guy
00:31:49shot at
00:31:50the White
00:31:51House
00:31:51now
00:31:52I heard
00:31:53that once
00:31:54he started
00:31:55firing
00:31:55that a
00:31:56number
00:31:56of
00:31:58either
00:31:59secret
00:31:59service
00:31:59or other
00:32:02law
00:32:02enforcement
00:32:03ran into
00:32:04the press
00:32:05room
00:32:05and started
00:32:07telling the
00:32:07press to
00:32:08get on
00:32:08the floor
00:32:09and that
00:32:09they were
00:32:09in danger
00:32:10and they
00:32:11were perhaps
00:32:11a target
00:32:12in all
00:32:12this
00:32:13which
00:32:16first of
00:32:17all I
00:32:17don't know
00:32:18that that's
00:32:18possible
00:32:19from where
00:32:19the guy
00:32:20the guy
00:32:20was at
00:32:2117th in
00:32:21the Constitution
00:32:22he was
00:32:22on at
00:32:23the very
00:32:24far corner
00:32:25of the
00:32:26property
00:32:26right
00:32:27he's out
00:32:27at the
00:32:27guard shack
00:32:28yeah
00:32:29and the
00:32:30press is
00:32:32not on
00:32:32the edge
00:32:33of the
00:32:33building
00:32:33they're in
00:32:34the building
00:32:34right
00:32:35so for
00:32:36him to
00:32:36have tried
00:32:37to target
00:32:38them seems
00:32:38a little
00:32:39bit of a
00:32:40stretch
00:32:41but they
00:32:42are civilians
00:32:43and you
00:32:43know law
00:32:43enforcement
00:32:44wants to
00:32:44show that
00:32:45it's
00:32:45protecting
00:32:46citizens
00:32:47and so
00:32:48they ran
00:32:48to where
00:32:49the citizens
00:32:50were and
00:32:50told them
00:32:50that they
00:32:51needed to
00:32:52and also
00:32:53a good
00:32:53follow-up
00:32:54on the
00:32:54White House
00:32:54correspondence
00:32:55dinner
00:32:56whatever
00:32:57happened
00:32:57there
00:32:58you want
00:32:59to keep
00:32:59the press
00:33:01focused
00:33:02on the
00:33:03fact that
00:33:04they are
00:33:04the targets
00:33:05and not
00:33:06that they
00:33:07are somehow
00:33:08at risk
00:33:08I think
00:33:10a legend
00:33:12what are
00:33:13you
00:33:13what are
00:33:15your thoughts
00:33:22it's getting
00:33:23harder to
00:33:23talk about
00:33:24shootings
00:33:25because I
00:33:27obviously
00:33:27anybody
00:33:28wielding a
00:33:29gun near
00:33:30the White
00:33:30House
00:33:30is
00:33:31deeply
00:33:32concerning
00:33:36but
00:33:39you know
00:33:39I just
00:33:40feel like
00:33:40shooting
00:33:41into
00:33:42the crowd
00:33:43on the
00:33:44National
00:33:44Mall
00:33:44or wherever
00:33:45you know
00:33:45on Pennsylvania
00:33:47Avenue
00:33:47is also
00:33:48deeply
00:33:49concerning
00:33:52you know
00:33:53and so
00:33:54like I
00:33:54just I
00:33:55feel like
00:33:58there is
00:33:59some part
00:33:59of me
00:34:00and I
00:34:00don't know
00:34:00if this is
00:34:01correct or
00:34:01incorrect or
00:34:02otherwise
00:34:02but there
00:34:02is some
00:34:03part of
00:34:03me that
00:34:03was like
00:34:04did you
00:34:05overreact
00:34:06is there
00:34:06something you
00:34:07could have
00:34:07done
00:34:08you know
00:34:09and like
00:34:09we know
00:34:09that you
00:34:10know
00:34:11shootings by
00:34:13unnecessary
00:34:13use of force
00:34:14by law
00:34:15enforcement is a
00:34:16big thing in
00:34:16the United
00:34:16States
00:34:19but like
00:34:19why are
00:34:20you
00:34:21you know
00:34:22there's
00:34:22unless there's
00:34:23somebody out
00:34:23on the
00:34:24lawn
00:34:24everybody
00:34:24is
00:34:25you know
00:34:26through a
00:34:27gate
00:34:27inside a
00:34:28house
00:34:29you know
00:34:29wherever
00:34:30wherever
00:34:30you know
00:34:33a pistol
00:34:34is not
00:34:34the way
00:34:35to go
00:34:36at this
00:34:37and so
00:34:37I just
00:34:37I don't
00:34:38know
00:34:38I just
00:34:38feel like
00:34:38there could
00:34:39have been
00:34:39some other
00:34:39way to
00:34:39resolve this
00:34:40that didn't
00:34:40involve people
00:34:41getting shot
00:34:42well I
00:34:43wonder
00:34:43because this
00:34:44was not
00:34:46something
00:34:46that
00:34:47you know
00:34:49this
00:34:49this could
00:34:50have been
00:34:51and we'll
00:34:52find out
00:34:52more once
00:34:53there's a
00:34:53further
00:34:54but this
00:34:55could have
00:34:55been suicide
00:34:55by cop
00:34:56it could
00:34:57have been
00:34:57some sort
00:34:58of issue
00:34:59other issue
00:35:00with the
00:35:01guy because
00:35:02as you point
00:35:03out when you
00:35:03walk up with
00:35:04a revolver
00:35:06you know
00:35:07clearly
00:35:08you're
00:35:09you're
00:35:10you're
00:35:11trying to
00:35:11provoke
00:35:12something
00:35:12and you're
00:35:13not going
00:35:14to win
00:35:14that's
00:35:15certainly
00:35:15true
00:35:16against
00:35:16guys
00:35:16who
00:35:17probably
00:35:17have
00:35:17automatic
00:35:18weapons
00:35:19at the
00:35:20ready
00:35:20so to
00:35:22do that
00:35:22well
00:35:23something's
00:35:24something's
00:35:25a little
00:35:26you know
00:35:27this
00:35:28I think
00:35:29that
00:35:29maybe
00:35:30suicide
00:35:30by cop
00:35:31thing
00:35:31is
00:35:31more of
00:35:32a
00:35:32possibility
00:35:34here
00:35:34this
00:35:34was not
00:35:35just
00:35:35somebody
00:35:35trying
00:35:36to
00:35:36complete
00:35:37a
00:35:37mission
00:35:37this
00:35:38was
00:35:39someone
00:35:39who
00:35:39I
00:35:40pretty
00:35:41much
00:35:41you know
00:35:42knew what
00:35:43was going
00:35:43to happen
00:35:44from the
00:35:45time he
00:35:45pulled out
00:35:46the
00:35:46revolver
00:35:48as soon
00:35:49as they
00:35:49saw it
00:35:50I assume
00:35:50that it
00:35:50was
00:35:51pretty much
00:35:51done
00:35:52I'm
00:35:52sorry
00:35:52go ahead
00:35:52I just
00:35:54want to
00:35:54throw in
00:35:54I saw
00:35:55a note
00:35:55that CBS
00:35:56reported
00:35:56the suspect
00:35:57the suspect
00:35:58was already
00:35:59known to
00:36:00Secret Service
00:36:01source told
00:36:02the outlet
00:36:02that he had
00:36:03been arrested
00:36:04in July
00:36:052025
00:36:06after he
00:36:07tried to
00:36:07access the
00:36:08White House
00:36:08was subsequently
00:36:09sent to a
00:36:10psychiatric
00:36:10facility
00:36:14so some
00:36:15relevant
00:36:16information
00:36:16there
00:36:16yeah
00:36:18yeah
00:36:19yeah
00:36:19so this
00:36:20is
00:36:20I don't
00:36:20think
00:36:20this
00:36:21is
00:36:22the
00:36:23sort
00:36:23of
00:36:28once
00:36:29you pull
00:36:29out the
00:36:30revolver
00:36:30in front
00:36:30of law
00:36:31enforcement
00:36:31you're
00:36:32pretty much
00:36:33done
00:36:33hmm
00:36:34right
00:36:35I mean
00:36:35they're not
00:36:36they're
00:36:36they're not
00:36:37trained to
00:36:37try to
00:36:38capture
00:36:38you
00:36:41they're
00:36:41trained to
00:36:42return fire
00:36:43and empty
00:36:44their clips
00:36:44I mean
00:36:46that's their
00:36:46training
00:36:46so if
00:36:48you're gonna
00:36:48try to start
00:36:49something with
00:36:50them
00:36:50probably
00:36:50not the
00:36:51best
00:36:53idea
00:36:53sure
00:36:58okay
00:36:58well
00:36:59that's
00:37:00any update
00:37:02on any
00:37:02of the
00:37:02other
00:37:03shootings
00:37:05not today
00:37:06we'll
00:37:06come back
00:37:07to this
00:37:08but
00:37:08that's
00:37:09the
00:37:09latest
00:37:10and
00:37:11I'm
00:37:11sure
00:37:11it
00:37:11will
00:37:11become
00:37:12the
00:37:12most
00:37:14the
00:37:15most
00:37:15recent
00:37:16cause
00:37:17for
00:37:17statements
00:37:18about
00:37:18how badly
00:37:19the ballroom
00:37:20is needed
00:37:20need that
00:37:21ballroom
00:37:21Matt
00:37:22yeah
00:37:24double the
00:37:25size
00:37:25double the
00:37:26size
00:37:29and
00:37:30so we'll
00:37:31see where
00:37:31they go
00:37:31with this
00:37:32then
00:37:33we're gonna
00:37:33move on
00:37:34to
00:37:36our next
00:37:37segment
00:37:37and in this
00:37:38case that
00:37:39is
00:37:39international
00:37:40news
00:37:41and
00:37:42there's
00:37:42a couple
00:37:43of things
00:37:43to mention
00:37:44here
00:37:45first is
00:37:46the war
00:37:47stuff
00:37:48there was
00:37:49a statement
00:37:50at the end
00:37:51of last
00:37:51week
00:37:51I believe
00:37:52that
00:37:53the White
00:37:54House
00:37:54had said
00:37:55they're not
00:37:55gonna
00:37:55not gonna
00:37:56do anything
00:37:57on Monday
00:37:57don't worry
00:37:58about it
00:37:58we're not
00:37:59doing anything
00:37:59on Monday
00:38:00and of course
00:38:01they did
00:38:02they set
00:38:03up a
00:38:04full
00:38:04air attack
00:38:06and
00:38:09then
00:38:10continued
00:38:11on
00:38:12I believe
00:38:13every day
00:38:13so far
00:38:14this week
00:38:14and
00:38:15certainly
00:38:15this
00:38:16today
00:38:16they did
00:38:17more
00:38:19and at
00:38:19the same
00:38:20time
00:38:20there's
00:38:21all of
00:38:22this
00:38:23discussion
00:38:24that
00:38:25they are
00:38:26close to
00:38:27a deal
00:38:27on
00:38:28reopening
00:38:29the Straits
00:38:29of Hormuz
00:38:30I'm not
00:38:32certain
00:38:32exactly
00:38:32who they're
00:38:33talking to
00:38:34I'm not
00:38:34certain
00:38:34exactly
00:38:35what the
00:38:35agreement
00:38:36is
00:38:37but
00:38:38every once
00:38:39in a while
00:38:39this is
00:38:39floated
00:38:40I mean
00:38:40it's
00:38:40put out
00:38:41there
00:38:41some
00:38:41of these
00:38:41stocks
00:38:42go up
00:38:42and down
00:38:43and
00:38:43there's
00:38:44a lot
00:38:44to be
00:38:46related
00:38:47to it
00:38:48and then
00:38:49we'll see
00:38:50in two
00:38:51or three
00:38:51weeks
00:38:51what actually
00:38:52happened
00:38:54and
00:38:56so that's
00:38:57the latest
00:38:58with Iran
00:39:01there is
00:39:02news
00:39:02out of
00:39:03France
00:39:03making this
00:39:04an international
00:39:05news segment
00:39:06France has
00:39:07called for
00:39:08closing
00:39:09closing down
00:39:09of immigration
00:39:09for two
00:39:10to three
00:39:10years
00:39:11or at
00:39:12least one
00:39:12of the
00:39:13ministers
00:39:13has called
00:39:14for that
00:39:15and we'll
00:39:15see how that
00:39:16plays out
00:39:17and what sort
00:39:17of effect
00:39:17that has
00:39:18on the
00:39:20global
00:39:20immigration
00:39:21issue
00:39:25Canada
00:39:25over in
00:39:26Canada
00:39:26right up
00:39:26north of
00:39:27us
00:39:27they've
00:39:28just
00:39:28announced
00:39:28that
00:39:28their big
00:39:30purchase
00:39:30of surveillance
00:39:31planes
00:39:32they are
00:39:33going to
00:39:33go with
00:39:34a Swedish
00:39:35plane maker
00:39:36that they
00:39:36didn't even
00:39:37consider
00:39:37US makers
00:39:38and that
00:39:40they're
00:39:40sticking with
00:39:40European
00:39:41allies
00:39:43and if
00:39:44that continues
00:39:45then this
00:39:47is part of
00:39:47the economic
00:39:48fallout
00:39:48from having
00:39:49someone who
00:39:50is antagonistic
00:39:52instead of
00:39:53someone who
00:39:53is a
00:39:55consensus
00:39:56builder
00:39:56as
00:39:57president
00:39:58of the
00:39:58United
00:39:59States
00:39:59and those
00:40:00middle
00:40:01powers
00:40:01the
00:40:03set of
00:40:03nations
00:40:04that Canada
00:40:05has sort
00:40:05of started
00:40:06talking to
00:40:07and trying
00:40:07to promote
00:40:08interaction
00:40:09with
00:40:09is moving
00:40:11full steam
00:40:12ahead
00:40:13and one
00:40:13other
00:40:14story I'll
00:40:15mention
00:40:15and then
00:40:15open up
00:40:16the floor
00:40:16to everyone
00:40:16and that
00:40:18is there's
00:40:18news out
00:40:19of the
00:40:20UK
00:40:21that
00:40:22the
00:40:23price of
00:40:24energy
00:40:25is going
00:40:25to be
00:40:25going up
00:40:26for
00:40:27British
00:40:28homeowners
00:40:29looks like
00:40:30cost by
00:40:32July will
00:40:32be increasing
00:40:33by 13%
00:40:35and they're
00:40:36saying in
00:40:36part it's
00:40:37due because
00:40:38of the
00:40:39closure of
00:40:39the Straits
00:40:40of Wormuz
00:40:42and they're
00:40:43also saying
00:40:44look for
00:40:44another increase
00:40:45within the
00:40:45year so
00:40:46by October
00:40:47there'll be
00:40:48another
00:40:48increase so
00:40:49how much
00:40:50can the
00:40:52British
00:40:53homeowner
00:40:54take
00:40:54and will
00:40:56this
00:40:56result in
00:40:57more support
00:40:59for
00:41:00Farage
00:41:01and
00:41:01reform
00:41:03over
00:41:04Starmer
00:41:05and
00:41:06labor
00:41:06or will
00:41:07Starmer
00:41:07lose his
00:41:08place
00:41:08his
00:41:09leadership
00:41:09position
00:41:10there's a lot
00:41:11that could
00:41:12happen
00:41:12and it's
00:41:13all in
00:41:14flux
00:41:14all right
00:41:16open floor
00:41:16what do you
00:41:17think folks
00:41:17what do you
00:41:18think's going
00:41:18on in the
00:41:19world
00:41:20well I'll
00:41:21tell you I
00:41:21had heard this
00:41:23out of France
00:41:23about the
00:41:25this guy
00:41:26shooting his
00:41:26mouth off to
00:41:27try to
00:41:27restrict
00:41:28immigration
00:41:30I am I
00:41:31don't know
00:41:32him and I
00:41:32don't know
00:41:33anything about
00:41:33it but I
00:41:35am carefully
00:41:36I am
00:41:39wary I'm
00:41:40wary of
00:41:40the right
00:41:42wing movements
00:41:42in France
00:41:43and in
00:41:44Europe and
00:41:45in Russia
00:41:45and just
00:41:46everywhere
00:41:46these days
00:41:47under every
00:41:48rock bush
00:41:49and tree
00:41:50to move
00:41:51to the
00:41:51right and
00:41:51to condemn
00:41:52immigrants
00:41:52and I
00:41:55don't I
00:41:55don't like
00:41:56the way it
00:41:56looks in
00:41:56this country
00:41:59and
00:42:03there's
00:42:04the only
00:42:05time I
00:42:05ever see
00:42:06it deployed
00:42:07is
00:42:09dishonestly
00:42:09and to
00:42:11the detriment
00:42:13of
00:42:14people who
00:42:15don't have
00:42:15it coming
00:42:15and so
00:42:18my knee
00:42:19jerk
00:42:19reaction
00:42:19again devoid
00:42:20of any
00:42:21journalism
00:42:22on this
00:42:22I haven't
00:42:22read anything
00:42:23about it
00:42:24I just
00:42:24I worry
00:42:27what they're
00:42:28trying to
00:42:29get at
00:42:29and how
00:42:30much is
00:42:31enough
00:42:32because
00:42:32France gets
00:42:33a lot of
00:42:33immigrants
00:42:34for sure
00:42:34they're over
00:42:35there just
00:42:36north of
00:42:36North Africa
00:42:41and they
00:42:42get a lot
00:42:42of immigration
00:42:43and I get
00:42:44it and
00:42:44their culture
00:42:45is very
00:42:45important to
00:42:46them on
00:42:46the other
00:42:46hand
00:42:48maybe it's
00:42:49because we're
00:42:49a bigger
00:42:49country I
00:42:50don't I
00:42:50don't think
00:42:50we're getting
00:42:51swamped we
00:42:52take in a lot
00:42:53of immigrants I
00:42:53don't think our
00:42:54culture is
00:42:54suffering for
00:42:55it I think
00:42:56it's probably
00:42:57improved by it
00:42:59in the overall
00:43:02and sometimes I
00:43:03look at the
00:43:03people who think
00:43:04they're holding
00:43:04on to culture
00:43:05and I don't
00:43:06like the way
00:43:06the culture
00:43:08they're holding
00:43:08on to
00:43:09it's not
00:43:10great it's
00:43:10not better
00:43:11than tacos
00:43:12and so I
00:43:13worry about
00:43:14that
00:43:16it's my
00:43:17opinion that
00:43:18a lot of
00:43:19these right
00:43:19wing movements
00:43:20are funded
00:43:21and supported
00:43:23by people who
00:43:24aren't necessarily
00:43:25that country
00:43:25that aren't
00:43:26the people
00:43:27of that
00:43:27country and
00:43:27aren't interests
00:43:28and concerns
00:43:29of that
00:43:29country so I
00:43:30feel like
00:43:30they're they
00:43:31come from
00:43:31without and
00:43:32they come
00:43:33from unnatural
00:43:35places things
00:43:36that aren't
00:43:36natural to the
00:43:37electoral system
00:43:38that countries
00:43:39have set up
00:43:40so I'm
00:43:41pretty skeptical
00:43:45yeah I have
00:43:46similar feelings
00:43:47around France I
00:43:48feel like they've
00:43:48been you know
00:43:53their far right
00:43:54party and
00:43:55this isn't
00:43:56Le Pen but
00:43:57I feel like
00:43:57this person
00:43:58would be you
00:43:59know friends
00:44:00with Le Pen
00:44:03you know has
00:44:04been just
00:44:05like they've
00:44:07been they've
00:44:08gone through a
00:44:08series of
00:44:09electoral defeats
00:44:10but I feel like
00:44:12each time they
00:44:13come the
00:44:14sort of
00:44:15resilience against
00:44:16them gets a
00:44:17little bit worn
00:44:18down you know
00:44:20and that like
00:44:21almost like
00:44:23exposure therapy
00:44:25or whatever
00:44:25you know so
00:44:26like you have
00:44:27to really when
00:44:29these kinds of
00:44:29things come up
00:44:30you have to
00:44:30really push
00:44:31back hard
00:44:31against them
00:44:33because you
00:44:34know otherwise
00:44:34it's you know
00:44:35it's just like
00:44:36well I have
00:44:36been hearing
00:44:37people say
00:44:37that and it's
00:44:38like yeah
00:44:38but it's the
00:44:38same people
00:44:39saying it over
00:44:39and over and
00:44:40over again and
00:44:41they're going to
00:44:42keep trying until
00:44:42they till they
00:44:43do it and
00:44:44this whole idea
00:44:45of like a
00:44:47temporary shutdown
00:44:48for like three
00:44:49years out of
00:44:50three years just
00:44:51feels like a
00:44:51number that's
00:44:52like a
00:44:53significant period
00:44:54of time but
00:44:55something they
00:44:55don't have to
00:44:56be locked into
00:44:56like it'll very
00:44:58easily become
00:44:5810 years 50
00:45:00years whatever
00:45:01whatever but
00:45:04it's definitely
00:45:04like it's a the
00:45:06number just feels
00:45:07like a lie to me
00:45:09and any of those
00:45:10like ideas of
00:45:11like you know
00:45:13Tom alluded to
00:45:14it just like you
00:45:15know in America
00:45:16when it's done
00:45:16for national
00:45:18security or
00:45:19cultural identity
00:45:20or whatever
00:45:21they're always
00:45:22this like you
00:45:24know it's always
00:45:24just like whatever
00:45:25excuse they
00:45:27think and they're
00:45:28just going to
00:45:29throw stuff at
00:45:29the wall until
00:45:30it sticks and
00:45:31we just have to
00:45:31be aware that
00:45:33that's what
00:45:33they're continuing
00:45:34to do this is
00:45:35no different
00:45:36from you know
00:45:38this sort of
00:45:39energy that's
00:45:40been pushed
00:45:41back by the
00:45:42French people
00:45:43over the last
00:45:44handful of
00:45:44elections and
00:45:45whatever and
00:45:46just should
00:45:46continue to
00:45:47be so even
00:45:48looking this
00:45:49up I don't
00:45:50know you know
00:45:50where all this
00:45:51says but one
00:45:52place described
00:45:53this well I
00:45:55don't know if
00:45:55this is a like
00:45:55legitimate source
00:45:56or source or
00:45:57something but
00:45:57describe this
00:45:58person as like
00:45:58somewhat of a
00:46:00centrist and
00:46:00like this is not
00:46:01a centrist opinion
00:46:02it's a hard right
00:46:03opinion and then
00:46:06as for Britain
00:46:09you know I'm
00:46:12concerned about
00:46:12their energy
00:46:13costs and you
00:46:15know the
00:46:18we've been
00:46:18noticing this
00:46:19now over the
00:46:20last couple
00:46:20of years but
00:46:21it's just
00:46:21going to keep
00:46:22happening
00:46:24the British
00:46:25Isles are
00:46:26built to
00:46:27hold heat
00:46:29because they're
00:46:31used to you
00:46:32know rainy
00:46:33weather cold
00:46:34cold weather
00:46:35dreary it's
00:46:36kind of like
00:46:36sort of famously
00:46:37what it's there
00:46:37for and as
00:46:39they get hotter
00:46:39and hotter
00:46:40water coming up
00:46:41from the Gulf
00:46:42of Mexico
00:46:42because of
00:46:43global warming
00:46:44they just don't
00:46:45have the
00:46:45infrastructure to
00:46:46deal with
00:46:48warmer weather
00:46:49and the way
00:46:50you would do
00:46:50with that is
00:46:51you know air
00:46:52conditioning which
00:46:52is not standard
00:46:53there it's
00:46:54become more
00:46:55expensive and
00:46:57it's just it's
00:46:59going to become
00:47:02this is one of
00:47:03those things
00:47:04kind of like you
00:47:05know for as long
00:47:06as we've been
00:47:06talking about the
00:47:07war in Iran
00:47:07it's been one of
00:47:08those things where
00:47:09it's like hey just
00:47:10so you know like
00:47:11when this happens
00:47:11it's going to be
00:47:12like a big deal
00:47:14you know like
00:47:15when we first
00:47:15mentioned you
00:47:16know like you
00:47:19know fertilizer or
00:47:20whatever and we're
00:47:20like it's going to
00:47:21affect crops and
00:47:22then now groceries
00:47:23are getting like
00:47:23really expensive and
00:47:24they're just going
00:47:24to get more so
00:47:25so I feel like it's
00:47:26one of those things
00:47:27where it's our
00:47:30sort of natural
00:47:33you know it's
00:47:35difficult for us
00:47:35as humans to
00:47:36understand the
00:47:36degree to which
00:47:37all these things
00:47:38are connected but
00:47:39it's going to
00:47:40become like a
00:47:41rolling snowball
00:47:42except with heat
00:47:43and stuff over
00:47:45there
00:47:48as for
00:47:50I saw a tweet
00:47:51earlier this week
00:47:52by somebody who
00:47:53said that
00:47:54the Iran thing
00:47:55is all the
00:47:56compromise isn't
00:47:57completely done
00:47:57except for the
00:47:58reopening of the
00:47:59Strait of Hormuz
00:48:00and the nuclear
00:48:02like development
00:48:04and it's like
00:48:04that's the whole
00:48:05thing you can't
00:48:06say it's all done
00:48:07except those two
00:48:07things that is the
00:48:08entire issue
00:48:10as for Canada
00:48:11getting surveillance
00:48:12planes from Sweden
00:48:14apart from my
00:48:15feels about
00:48:16surveillance planes
00:48:17you know I do
00:48:18think they should
00:48:18branch out
00:48:19it's good
00:48:22well I will say
00:48:24something about
00:48:25to continue the
00:48:26conversation for a
00:48:27couple more
00:48:27minutes
00:48:30France now I
00:48:31don't know when
00:48:32the next election
00:48:33is scheduled but
00:48:34I have a sneaking
00:48:35suspicion it's what
00:48:36maybe two years
00:48:37if he's talking
00:48:38about something
00:48:39for three years
00:48:40you know it's
00:48:41that kind of
00:48:41thing where is
00:48:42this just a
00:48:44trying to do
00:48:46something but
00:48:46also make it
00:48:47delayed until
00:48:48after the next
00:48:50for the resolution
00:48:52to be after the
00:48:53next election
00:48:53but that's
00:48:56something that's
00:48:56knowable that's
00:48:57something I can
00:48:57look up and I
00:48:58haven't yet
00:49:01however as you
00:49:02point out that's
00:49:03a very right
00:49:03wing position
00:49:05so you can
00:49:07claim to be a
00:49:08centrist but
00:49:09when you take
00:49:10positions like
00:49:11we're going to
00:49:11close the border
00:49:12for three years
00:49:13that's not a
00:49:14central I mean
00:49:15as much as
00:49:16the republicans
00:49:18kept keep
00:49:19pardon me
00:49:20the conservatives
00:49:21in this case
00:49:22as long as
00:49:23conservatives keep
00:49:24pushing the
00:49:26center of
00:49:27political thought
00:49:28so far to the
00:49:29right that
00:49:30things like
00:49:31stopping all
00:49:32immigration for
00:49:33three years
00:49:33becomes a
00:49:34central
00:49:34position
00:49:34seems extreme
00:49:36to me
00:49:40what is also
00:49:41true is that
00:49:42and you pointed
00:49:44out Hannah
00:49:44was that in
00:49:45the last election
00:49:46the left after
00:49:47the initial
00:49:48vote which
00:49:49made the
00:49:50right look like
00:49:51they were
00:49:52gaining strength
00:49:52the left sort
00:49:54of got their
00:49:55act together
00:49:55and started
00:49:56working together
00:49:57a number of
00:49:58left parties
00:49:59joined together
00:50:01in order to
00:50:02work against
00:50:02it and they
00:50:03were successful
00:50:04they wound up
00:50:05gaining the
00:50:07majority in
00:50:08parliament
00:50:10however
00:50:15Macron has
00:50:16consistently named
00:50:18right wing
00:50:19prime ministers
00:50:20even though
00:50:21he's dealing
00:50:22with a left
00:50:22based parliament
00:50:25so this
00:50:27whole idea
00:50:28of being
00:50:28center
00:50:29is
00:50:29actually
00:50:31leading to
00:50:32some
00:50:34very
00:50:34strange
00:50:35policy
00:50:36and this
00:50:37is just
00:50:37another
00:50:37show of
00:50:38that
00:50:41as we
00:50:42all
00:50:42I'm sure
00:50:43we all
00:50:43know
00:50:44and I
00:50:44know Tom
00:50:44can probably
00:50:45vouch for
00:50:45the left
00:50:47in France
00:50:48is not
00:50:49quiet
00:50:51they tend
00:50:52to express
00:50:53themselves
00:50:53and they
00:50:55tend to
00:50:55express
00:50:55themselves
00:50:56by going
00:50:57into the
00:50:57streets
00:50:57they literally
00:50:58will do
00:51:00the sort
00:51:00of thing
00:51:00that we've
00:51:01not done
00:51:02here for a
00:51:03very long
00:51:03time
00:51:04which is
00:51:05they get
00:51:05into the
00:51:06streets
00:51:06they turn
00:51:07things over
00:51:07they spray
00:51:08paint all
00:51:09over buildings
00:51:10they do
00:51:11to represent
00:51:12blood
00:51:12and I mean
00:51:13they do
00:51:13they take
00:51:15action
00:51:15and
00:51:16seriously
00:51:17get in
00:51:17the way
00:51:17they get
00:51:18their boobs
00:51:18out
00:51:18they shut
00:51:20down traffic
00:51:20they shut
00:51:21down
00:51:21city hall
00:51:22they make
00:51:24a mess
00:51:25they shut
00:51:26down metro
00:51:27lines and
00:51:28trains and
00:51:28things like
00:51:30that
00:51:30yeah
00:51:30they don't
00:51:31go quietly
00:51:32into that
00:51:32good night
00:51:32so passive
00:51:33so ignorant
00:51:34so asleep
00:51:38yep
00:51:38so let's
00:51:39see what
00:51:40actually happens
00:51:41from this
00:51:41sort of
00:51:42push for
00:51:43the right
00:51:43again
00:51:44and see
00:51:46if it's
00:51:46another time
00:51:47that Macron
00:51:48winds up
00:51:48getting
00:51:49served
00:51:50on
00:51:51served
00:51:52by the
00:51:52left
00:51:52for
00:51:54centrist
00:51:56right wing
00:51:57sort of
00:51:58policies
00:51:58and let's
00:51:59hope that
00:51:59at some
00:52:00point
00:52:00that that
00:52:01message
00:52:01gets
00:52:02through
00:52:02that maybe
00:52:04he needs
00:52:04to look
00:52:05at where
00:52:05the left
00:52:06is coming
00:52:06from instead
00:52:07of constantly
00:52:07trying to
00:52:09outmaneuver
00:52:10them from
00:52:10the right
00:52:11but we'll
00:52:12see
00:52:12we will
00:52:13see how
00:52:14the French
00:52:15respond
00:52:15and if
00:52:16this is
00:52:16even a
00:52:16serious
00:52:17offer
00:52:17or if
00:52:18this is
00:52:18just
00:52:18some
00:52:19ploy
00:52:19for the
00:52:20next
00:52:21election
00:52:21cycle
00:52:23excellent
00:52:24oh and I
00:52:24will mention
00:52:25one more
00:52:25thing about
00:52:26the Brits
00:52:27as well
00:52:28and Hannah
00:52:29there's some
00:52:29things you
00:52:30mentioned
00:52:30you're absolutely
00:52:31right on the
00:52:32larger picture
00:52:32and the
00:52:33warming
00:52:33and the
00:52:34fact that
00:52:34things are
00:52:35becoming
00:52:37things are
00:52:37changing
00:52:39everywhere
00:52:39and certainly
00:52:40for
00:52:41those on
00:52:42the islands
00:52:43over there
00:52:45but I
00:52:46also think
00:52:46that this
00:52:47is an
00:52:48issue
00:52:48for the
00:52:49political
00:52:50world
00:52:51and it's
00:52:53another thing
00:52:53where when
00:52:55Starmer came
00:52:55in he didn't
00:52:56win because he
00:52:57was pure
00:52:58Starmer
00:52:58he won
00:52:59because they
00:53:00were not
00:53:01the Tories
00:53:01they were not
00:53:02the conservatives
00:53:02and the
00:53:03conservatives
00:53:04had run
00:53:04things so
00:53:05poorly
00:53:05and run
00:53:06the country
00:53:07into the
00:53:07ground
00:53:07for decades
00:53:08for a
00:53:10decade and
00:53:10a half
00:53:10and they
00:53:12had done
00:53:13so poorly
00:53:14and made
00:53:15things only
00:53:16internal
00:53:16and had
00:53:17caused such
00:53:18a rush
00:53:19on the
00:53:19right
00:53:20that even
00:53:22the British
00:53:22voters were
00:53:23like yeah
00:53:23this is
00:53:24not okay
00:53:25we're going
00:53:25to support
00:53:26labor
00:53:27in the
00:53:28local
00:53:29elections
00:53:29that just
00:53:29happened
00:53:30a few
00:53:30weeks ago
00:53:31what we
00:53:31saw was
00:53:32both of
00:53:34the major
00:53:34parties
00:53:35took
00:53:36big
00:53:37losses
00:53:37both the
00:53:38Tories
00:53:39and labor
00:53:40lost
00:53:41thousands
00:53:41of council
00:53:42seats
00:53:42on the
00:53:43local
00:53:43election
00:53:44level
00:53:44and
00:53:45reform
00:53:46and the
00:53:47green
00:53:47party
00:53:48gained
00:53:50in a
00:53:51big way
00:53:52reform
00:53:53in a
00:53:53very big
00:53:53way
00:53:54the greens
00:53:55in a
00:53:56big way
00:53:58but what
00:53:59it was
00:53:59showing
00:53:59it seems
00:54:00was that
00:54:01people are
00:54:01turning from
00:54:02the two
00:54:03major parties
00:54:03and looking
00:54:04anywhere else
00:54:05they can
00:54:06because
00:54:08Starmer's
00:54:09whole argument
00:54:10from the
00:54:10beginning
00:54:10when he
00:54:11won was
00:54:11I'm not
00:54:12a flashy
00:54:13guy
00:54:13I'm a
00:54:14competent
00:54:14guy
00:54:15I'm not
00:54:16gonna
00:54:16I don't
00:54:17want to
00:54:17do the
00:54:18fancy
00:54:19media
00:54:19stuff
00:54:20I want
00:54:21to focus
00:54:22on running
00:54:22things well
00:54:23being efficient
00:54:24being
00:54:25thorough
00:54:27and
00:54:27the problem
00:54:29is he
00:54:29hasn't shown
00:54:30that in his
00:54:31actions
00:54:31he hasn't
00:54:32shown that
00:54:32in what
00:54:32he's
00:54:33actually
00:54:33accomplished
00:54:33or in
00:54:34this case
00:54:34not
00:54:35accomplished
00:54:36and
00:54:36decisions
00:54:37are being
00:54:37made
00:54:38that are
00:54:38constantly
00:54:39putting the
00:54:39voters in
00:54:39a tighter
00:54:40and tighter
00:54:41box
00:54:41here's an
00:54:42increase in
00:54:42electricity
00:54:43there was the
00:54:44whole thing
00:54:44about certain
00:54:46benefits that
00:54:47were cut back
00:54:48for winter
00:54:49heating
00:54:50when he first
00:54:51came in
00:54:51which was
00:54:52you know
00:54:52a big
00:54:53issue
00:54:53and seemed
00:54:54to be his
00:54:55placating the
00:54:56right
00:54:57and
00:54:57now the
00:54:59costs are
00:54:59going up
00:55:00as well
00:55:00so
00:55:01it's
00:55:01really
00:55:02putting
00:55:02a crunch
00:55:03on
00:55:03the
00:55:04more
00:55:05middle
00:55:05class
00:55:06and the
00:55:06more
00:55:06and certainly
00:55:07the lower
00:55:08classes
00:55:08in Britain
00:55:10and how
00:55:10are they
00:55:11going to
00:55:11respond
00:55:12well
00:55:13we're going
00:55:14to have
00:55:14to have
00:55:14an election
00:55:15there sooner
00:55:15or later
00:55:15and does
00:55:16this help
00:55:17bolster
00:55:17the position
00:55:17of
00:55:18somebody
00:55:19who
00:55:19has
00:55:20the
00:55:22you know
00:55:23Farage
00:55:23has
00:55:24an
00:55:25advantage
00:55:26in that
00:55:27he's never
00:55:27actually had
00:55:28to govern
00:55:28so he
00:55:29can sit
00:55:30there
00:55:30and like
00:55:31MAGA
00:55:31talk about
00:55:32all the
00:55:33grandiose
00:55:33plans he
00:55:34has
00:55:35and how
00:55:36he's going
00:55:36to make
00:55:36things great
00:55:37again
00:55:38he's going
00:55:39to make
00:55:39things
00:55:39Great Britain
00:55:40again
00:55:40and
00:55:42it's
00:55:43almost
00:55:44meaningless
00:55:45because he
00:55:45has no
00:55:46authority
00:55:46and he's
00:55:47never had
00:55:47authority
00:55:47to show
00:55:48that he
00:55:48can do
00:55:48these
00:55:49things
00:55:49but
00:55:50they're
00:55:50all right
00:55:50wing
00:55:50and people
00:55:51like that
00:55:52right now
00:55:52and even
00:55:52Tony Blair
00:55:53came out
00:55:53today
00:55:54a former
00:55:55labor
00:55:55leader
00:55:56and was
00:55:57saying that
00:55:59you know
00:55:59the problem
00:55:59is that
00:56:01the labor
00:56:02is becoming
00:56:03too left
00:56:05you know
00:56:05and this
00:56:06kind of
00:56:06you've got
00:56:07to go to
00:56:07the right
00:56:07and to
00:56:08the center
00:56:09again
00:56:10so
00:56:12all that
00:56:13is doing
00:56:13is
00:56:13it seems
00:56:15to me
00:56:15that all
00:56:16that's doing
00:56:16is encouraging
00:56:17people to go
00:56:17to the right
00:56:18even further
00:56:19and so
00:56:20we'll see
00:56:20how that
00:56:21plays out
00:56:22how this
00:56:23is handled
00:56:24is just
00:56:24another
00:56:25opportunity
00:56:26for
00:56:26Starmer
00:56:26to do
00:56:27things
00:56:27right
00:56:27so that
00:56:28he can
00:56:29start to
00:56:29claim that
00:56:29he is
00:56:30effective
00:56:30and efficient
00:56:31and wants
00:56:31to be
00:56:32thorough
00:56:32and wants
00:56:32to be
00:56:33the
00:56:35technocrat
00:56:35who gets
00:56:35things going
00:56:37but if
00:56:38he blows
00:56:38this
00:56:39here we
00:56:40are again
00:56:41and it's
00:56:42certainly
00:56:42not helping
00:56:43anybody
00:56:44on his
00:56:45side
00:56:47well
00:56:48anything else
00:56:49on international
00:56:49before we
00:56:50move along
00:56:53we will
00:56:54go to
00:56:55the next
00:56:56issue
00:56:56which is
00:56:57iced
00:56:58out
00:56:59and some
00:57:00updates on
00:57:01what's been
00:57:01going on
00:57:02with ice
00:57:04we now
00:57:05have a
00:57:06judge
00:57:06who's
00:57:06tossed
00:57:07out
00:57:07the
00:57:07charges
00:57:09against
00:57:10Kilmar
00:57:11Abrego
00:57:12Garcia
00:57:13so there's
00:57:14some actual
00:57:15positive
00:57:16news
00:57:18someone who
00:57:19was taken
00:57:20captive
00:57:20sent
00:57:22abroad
00:57:23to the
00:57:24big prison
00:57:25down in
00:57:26Central
00:57:26America
00:57:27was brought
00:57:28back because
00:57:29the judge
00:57:29said bring
00:57:30him back
00:57:30and then
00:57:30he was
00:57:31harassed
00:57:31and they've
00:57:33not stopped
00:57:33harassing him
00:57:35and arresting
00:57:36him and
00:57:36trying to send
00:57:37him to
00:57:37another place
00:57:38and so
00:57:39the latest
00:57:40is once
00:57:41again that
00:57:42the judiciary
00:57:43is saying
00:57:45this is
00:57:46nonsense
00:57:46you've got
00:57:47to stop
00:57:47doing this
00:57:47so we'll
00:57:49see the
00:57:49response to
00:57:50that and
00:57:50what happens
00:57:51there and
00:57:52the other
00:57:52big iced
00:57:53out story
00:57:53is in
00:57:54New Jersey
00:57:55where
00:57:55Governor
00:57:56Sherell
00:57:57and a
00:57:58number of
00:57:59elected
00:58:00officials
00:58:00not just
00:58:01her
00:58:01but a
00:58:03team
00:58:03of elected
00:58:04officials
00:58:05wanted to
00:58:06get access
00:58:06to a
00:58:07North Jersey
00:58:08immigration
00:58:09detention
00:58:09center
00:58:10and
00:58:11which
00:58:12certainly
00:58:13is
00:58:13said to
00:58:14be
00:58:14congress's
00:58:16role
00:58:16a congress
00:58:17person
00:58:17should not
00:58:18be turned
00:58:18away
00:58:18and should
00:58:19be allowed
00:58:19to inspect
00:58:20the facility
00:58:21anytime they
00:58:21want
00:58:22they all
00:58:23have to do
00:58:23a show up
00:58:24but ICE
00:58:25has been
00:58:25very
00:58:27resistant
00:58:27always turning
00:58:28them away
00:58:29and here's
00:58:30another case
00:58:31where they
00:58:31not only
00:58:31did it
00:58:32to some
00:58:33congress
00:58:33folks
00:58:34but to
00:58:34the governor
00:58:34of New
00:58:35Jersey
00:58:35as well
00:58:35and at
00:58:37this particular
00:58:38detention
00:58:39center
00:58:39there's a
00:58:39hunger
00:58:39strike
00:58:41and it's
00:58:42already
00:58:42entered
00:58:43into its
00:58:43fourth or
00:58:44fifth day
00:58:45so even
00:58:46more
00:58:48important
00:58:48for
00:58:49elected
00:58:50officials
00:58:50to get
00:58:51access to
00:58:52find out
00:58:53what's
00:58:53actually
00:58:53happening
00:58:54and what's
00:58:54going on
00:58:56what do
00:58:57you think
00:58:57about ICE
00:58:59nothing
00:59:00good
00:59:07no I
00:59:08mean I
00:59:08think that
00:59:09when it
00:59:09comes to
00:59:10Calmar
00:59:11Obrego
00:59:11Garcia
00:59:12I don't
00:59:14I don't
00:59:14know what
00:59:15it is
00:59:15what their
00:59:15vendetta
00:59:16is right
00:59:17they arrested
00:59:18him
00:59:20unnecessarily
00:59:20and now
00:59:21they've decided
00:59:22they must
00:59:22make an
00:59:22example of
00:59:23him to
00:59:24save face
00:59:27and it's
00:59:28so like
00:59:32I don't
00:59:32know it's
00:59:33hard it's
00:59:36it's hard to
00:59:37continue to be
00:59:37exasperated by
00:59:38them but this
00:59:39this would be
00:59:40one of the
00:59:40reasons to
00:59:41be you know
00:59:44it's it's
00:59:44yeah it seems
00:59:45like they're
00:59:46too embarrassed
00:59:46to admit that
00:59:47they could have
00:59:47made a mistake
00:59:48so they're
00:59:48going to just
00:59:49hound this
00:59:49guy until
00:59:50they come up
00:59:50with some
00:59:52problem the
00:59:52same way
00:59:53that like
00:59:53they used
00:59:54to hire
00:59:54CIA people
00:59:55to just
00:59:55follow people
00:59:56around until
00:59:57they did
00:59:57something
01:00:01and then
01:00:03yeah to
01:00:05prevent a
01:00:06governor from
01:00:07being able to
01:00:07be in a
01:00:08detention center
01:00:12in normal
01:00:13times is a
01:00:14problem especially
01:00:14during a hunger
01:00:15strike it's all
01:00:16the more of a
01:00:16problem
01:00:23tom anything
01:00:23anything to say
01:00:24about ice
01:00:25you know i'm
01:00:26glad to kill
01:00:28moro abrigo
01:00:29garcia is
01:00:31finding his way
01:00:32out of this
01:00:32pit that the
01:00:34u.s government
01:00:34has put him
01:00:35in i don't know
01:00:36what else to
01:00:36say
01:00:39fair enough
01:00:40in that case
01:00:42it's time to
01:00:43go to our
01:00:44traditional
01:00:44ending and
01:00:45that would
01:00:45start with
01:00:47the epstein
01:00:49update or
01:00:50count up
01:00:53and this
01:00:54week we've
01:00:55got 3998
01:00:58days since
01:00:59the unredacted
01:00:59epstein list
01:01:00has not been
01:01:01released and it
01:01:03doesn't look like
01:01:04it's happening
01:01:04anytime soon
01:01:05although as
01:01:06we noted
01:01:06earlier tom
01:01:07massey is
01:01:07publicly
01:01:08mentioning names
01:01:09of people in
01:01:09the documents
01:01:10massey you
01:01:11got two
01:01:11days just

01:01:22and it's nice
01:01:22that he's doing
01:01:23that but as
01:01:24uh as as
01:01:25you pointed out
01:01:26hannah it's
01:01:26not certainly
01:01:27not what is
01:01:28required by law
01:01:29and has been
01:01:30uh and also is
01:01:32the right thing
