00:00Subnautica 2 has sold so well that Crafton has to pay that 250 million dollars earn out to the
00:06devs. If you remember, the situation became infamous after core documents revealed allegation
00:12that Crafton attempted to delay the game and explored ways to avoid payout, including consulting
00:18ChatGPT during the process. I mean, imagine being so fucking dumb that you're using ChatGPT as your
00:24legal advisor. Anyway, now after millions of sales and a record-breaking launch, it looks like the
00:31developers may finally receive the payout they fought for. In other words, Crafton fucked around
00:36and found out. So seeing a studio apparently win against a major publisher and seeing employees
00:42potentially receive life-changing payouts feels amazing. But more importantly, Subnautica 2
00:47succeeded because of us, the players. And that makes it even better. Which is why this probably
00:53is the most important part of the entire story. Overall, I would say this is a disaster for
00:59Crafton and an enormous moral victory for Unknown Worlds.
