00:13A Bihar teacher's family dispute has exploded on social media after her husband accused her
00:18of having an extramarital affair and abandoning their 13-year marriage.
00:22The controversy surfaced after a video of a heated argument between the couple from
00:27Hajipur went viral online.
00:29Aman Kumar alleged that he caught his wife, BPSC teacher Gunjan Kumari, inside a rented
00:35house with her alleged lover on 25 May.
00:38According to Aman, he financially supported his wife's education, rupees even selling
00:43ancestral land to help her prepare for BPSC exams.
00:47Gunjan was later selected as a teacher in the TRE2 recruitment process and posted in
00:52Supol.
00:53The husband claimed his suspicions grew after their son informed him that an unknown
00:57man frequently visited the rented house.
01:00He further alleged that when he reached the Hajipur flat, he found his wife and the man
01:05together and called Dial 112.
01:07The matter has now reached court, while police say legal action will be taken if a formal complaint
01:13is filed.
01:14The case has also reignited debate around extramarital affairs and marriage laws in India after adultery
01:20was decriminalised by the Supreme Court in 2018.
