16:21The competitors make their way down to the ring
16:23Well, Too Cool dance their way down to the ring
16:26While Rikishi's all business
16:27We've got a brawl to kick this one off
16:29And very early on
16:31Eddie tries to give his teammates some of that moral support
16:33But Rikishi saw it coming
16:35It's Eddie who ends up getting whacked
16:37And you know, it's still a little weird
16:39Seeing these guys in the WWF now
16:41After watching their work on WCW
16:43Throughout all of reliving the war
16:45I know I said this before
16:46But it's still weird
16:47In a good way
16:49Eddie heads back up the ramp
16:50The match officially starts with Grandmaster Sexy and Saturn
16:53And Perry fields the superplex's opponent
16:55So the Grandmaster pulls off a missile dropkick
16:58In comes Benoit for a hip toss
16:59Grandmaster follows up with a bulldog
17:01Before tagging in Scotty
17:03And Too Cool pull off a double elbow
17:04On the rabid wolverine
17:06Benoit's already had enough
17:07He drops Scotty on the top rope with a front suplex
17:10But Scotty answers right away
17:11With a suplex of his own
17:13We then get free to do a moonwalk from Scotty
17:15Before Rikishi tags in
17:16And the big man cleans house
17:18Before Chris falls in position for a stink face
17:20I wonder if anyone legitimately refused to take this move
17:24Malenko makes sure his partner doesn't take a Rikishi driver
17:27Before getting tagged in
17:28And then Saturn's in to do some damage
17:31To Rikishi's injured ankle
17:32He mustn't be too injured though
17:34Seeing as moments later he pulls off a superkick
17:36In comes Scotty 2 Hottie looking for the worm
17:39But Stinko Malenko makes sure there's no such bollocks in this 6 man tag match
17:43Benoit then makes Scotty pay with a back suplex
17:45And a snap suplex
17:46Double teamwork from Benoit and Malenko keeps Scotty in a bad spot
17:50And Saturn joins in on the action with an impressive top rope knee drop
17:54We fall into familiar territory here with the Radicals keeping Scotty away from his corner
17:58Scotty takes a lot of punishment here with Malenko, Benoit and Saturn taking turns of beating up the poor guy
18:04While keeping him away from his corner
18:06The break comes when Scotty and Benoit have a collision after a failed snake eyes attempt
18:10And this allows Rikishi to come in to a fantastic ovation
18:13Rikishi again is all business here
18:16And the Grandmaster comes in too to help out his big mate
18:18A few corner attacks from Rikishi gets followed up with a Rikishi driver to parry Saturn
18:23And then the Grandmaster wants to see his partner's worm
18:26I mean he wants to see his partner perform his move
18:29Named the worm
18:30Scotty does indeed pull off his worm
18:33Completely oblivious that Dean Malenko's the legal man
18:36And so the other two radicals are able to surprise their opponents after the move
18:40When the ring clears out again
18:41The Grandmaster looks for the hip hop drop
18:43And while he does land the move
18:45Chris Benoit is right there to hit Mr. Sexy with a diving headbutt
18:48Benoit and Saturn then brawl with Scotty and Bryan
18:51But Malenko and Rikishi are the legal men
18:53So the ring clears out
18:55Dean again goes for the injured ankle
18:57Rikishi is able to absorb the punishment
18:59And Dean takes the driver
19:00Rikishi looks to end it with the banzai drop
19:03And yeah, there it is
19:04Rikishi and Too Cool win a good match here
19:06But personally, I would've booked the other guys to win
19:09The radicals simply need to get more victories
19:12But I remember the Dudleys getting the same treatment when they debuted
19:16Still not the outcome I would've went with though
19:19Too Cool celebrate with a little dance inside the ring
19:22And speaking of celebrating
19:23Look at Kurt Angle
19:24This looks like the best night of Kurt's entire life
19:27What a true hero
19:33It's time for the Rock vs Big Show
19:35And you know the story
19:37Big Show pretty much got screwed at the Royal Rumble
19:39And if he wants to take Rock's spot in the Mania 2000 main event
19:43He must beat him tonight in a one-on-one match
19:45Rock shows no fear as he lays the smackdown at the opening bell
19:48And Big Show takes a corner clothesline
19:50Show stops a Russian leg sweep and he headbutts Rocky
19:53But the People's Champ comes right back with a float over DDT
19:56A rock bottom attempt gets stopped and Rock gets sent out of the ring
19:59The two brawl on the outside with Show getting sent into the ring steps
20:02And getting his head rocked at the timekeeper's table
20:05We then... we then go into the audience for more brawling
20:09And can I ask a question?
20:11Am I the only one who doesn't like fighting in the audience?
20:14I didn't mind it when watching these matches back in the day
20:16But now I notice it in WWF pay-per-view matches way too often
20:20I'm probably just being a picky bastard
20:22But we really can't get through a single WWF Attitude era pay-per-view
20:26Without fighting in the crowd
20:27Big Show gets sent back over the barrier
20:29More brawling follows before Rocky gets dropped on that barrier
20:33The two get back in the ring where Rock takes a back elbow
20:35And when Rock tries to build some momentum
20:37He ends up taking a power slam
20:39It feels like we're slowing way down now
20:41As Big Show stands on Rocky's chest
20:43We then go back to the outside for more brawling
20:46Big Show stays in control
20:47And yeah, there's been a real lack of crowd noise
20:50Since Rock made his entrance
20:51Rock pulls off a Russian leg sweep
20:53He keeps the momentum going with the DDT
20:56That momentum gets stopped with a Big Show sidewalk slam
20:59And Big Show brings a chair into the ring
21:01This makes no sense
21:02Seeing as Big Show can't afford to get himself DQ'd
21:05Especially after all the bitching he's done to get this match booked
21:08And when Hebner doesn't remove the chair after a failed swing
21:11You just know it's gonna come into play in a moment
21:13Hebner takes a bump, you just can't get the staff these days
21:16Rock goes down after a big boot
21:18And the big man signals for the chokeslam
21:20Rock takes the Big Show's finisher
21:22And Big Show wants another referee to come down right now
21:25And when Tim White shows up to make the three count
21:27Hebner wakes up and he pulls Tim out of the ring
21:30The referees who butted heads earlier on over the IC title match
21:33Then begin arguing
21:34And then, no chance in hell plays in the arena
21:37Making the crowd pop for the first time during this match
21:40Shane McMahon's here
21:42He makes his way down the ringside just as Hebner and White begins slapping the shit out of each other
21:46Rock hits Big Show with that chair from earlier on
21:49And the big man takes a rock bottom
21:51The rock looks for a people's elbow
21:52But here comes Shane McMahon with a perfectly timed stated chair shot that looked fantastic
21:57The crowd are a little surprised by McMahon's actions
22:00But it looks like Shane owes return to the dark side
22:02He tells Tim White to get back in the ring
22:04And the big show wins via pinfall
22:06The big show is going to headline Wrestlemania 2000
22:10My goodness, and the big man has an ally in Shane McMahon
22:14The rock got screwed, but to be honest, he kinda deserved it
22:18His Royal Rumble victory was tainted after all
22:20But in saying that, I don't think anyone wants to see the big show in the Wrestlemania main event
22:26Can't say I thought much of this about either if I'm honest
22:29The rock didn't get a chance to fire up really, and so fans had to mainly sit through the big
22:33show leading the match
22:34Anyway, moving on
22:36Kurt Angle's about to head back to his hotel room
22:39He's singing I am the champion as he approaches his car
22:42But he shouldn't have been celebrating so much because he gets attacked by Chris Jericho in China
22:47The former champion and sore loser ends up throwing Kurt into the trunk of his own car
22:51But at least Kurt's in there with his two title belts
22:54That's two more belts than what you have, Mr Jericho
23:05Triple H and Cactus Jack tore the house down in Madison Square Garden last month
23:09Tonight they do it again, only this time it's inside Hell in a Cell
23:13Hunter was tired of seeing Mick Foley's face after the rumble match
23:16He wanted to give Foley one more shot at the WWF title, only this shot would be Foley's last
23:21Triple H gave Foley the chance to pick any kind of match he wanted for No Way Out
23:25Foley picked Hell in a Cell, and Triple H would only agree to a Cell match if Mick Foley put
23:31his career on the line
23:32Mick agreed, he's desperate to headline WrestleMania seeing as he's done everything else in the WWF
23:37And so we've got a championship vs career match at No Way Out and expectations are insanely high
23:43Not only did these two have a match of the year contender at the Royal Rumble, but Mick Foley stepping
23:47inside Hell in a Cell once again
23:49is enough to make your imagination go out of control
23:52Foley isn't afraid of this Cell at all, and even though Triple H showed a real mean streak in Madison
23:56Square Garden,
23:57he's never stepped inside Hell in a Cell before
24:00It's our No Way Out main event, there's really no way this could possibly be bad
24:05Triple H's WWF Championship vs Mick Foley's career
24:13The Hell in a Cell looms over Triple H as the WWF Champion poses in the ring, Mick Foley takes
24:18a quick glance up as he
24:19makes his entrance and we do get that feeling that anything could happen here
24:23There's such a difference in WWF and WCW PPV main events man, there's so much more excitement here
24:29Cactus checks the cage door and he notices 7 or 8 padlocks are keeping it shut, so there really is
24:35no way out for either man here
24:36Mick goes on offence first and the two share right hands when they get in the ring, Triple H takes
24:41a headbutt and Cactus proceeds to bang his opponent's head on the canvas over and over again
24:45Triple H takes a forearm shot before Cactus once again goes out to check the door, Foley wants to get
24:51out so he can cause some damage to Hunter by jumping off the cage, but it appears Triple H has
24:55made sure Cactus can't escape, for better or for worse
24:58Mick tries to push his opponent's face into the cage but Triple H performs a low blow, this allows the
25:04champ to take control back in the ring and Jack gets his face smashed over and over again
25:08The game pulls off the facebreaker knee smash, he then runs into Foley only to get dumped out of the
25:13ring, and Mick then finds a steel chair under the apron
25:17Unfortunately, the challenger can't use the weapon, instead he gets bounced off a cage panel and he then gets thrown
25:23into the ring steps
25:24Nobody took these bumps as good as Mick Foley
25:27The game's now feeling a bit more confident as he picks up the ring steps, the crowd's hushed down a
25:32little as Triple H lines up his shot and…
25:34Oh fuck me, oh yeah, that looked pretty awesome
25:37Triple H puts the steps on top of Foley, he proceeds to hit those steps with a steel chair, Hunter's
25:43very happy with his handiwork as he celebrates in the ring, and he stays on Cactus Jack with more chair
25:48shots
25:49It looks like Foley may be enjoying this punishment though, so Hunter hits him in the face and Mick goes
25:54down, and when he gets back up, he gets planted with a DDT
25:57Turns out Mick is actually enjoying this beatdown, and he invites Hunter to come and hit him again, when Hunter
26:03goes for the kill though, Mick catches him out and Hunter takes a chair shot in the crotch
26:07Cactus then performs his double arm DDT, but this match is far from over, the game kicks out of two
26:13Mick stays on the champ with a rushing leg sweep on the chair, he then invites Hunter to take a
26:17seat while Cactus throws a ton of right hands
26:20He then goes for his corner running knee strike, but Triple H wakes up and Cactus takes a drop toe
26:25hold on the chair
26:26We go back outside where Hunter gets vicious, Mick gets his head rammed into the cage over and over again
26:32before Triple H looks for a piledriver on the ring steps
26:35Luckily, Mick's able to counter with a catapult and Stephanie's looking a bit worried as her husband gets busted open
26:46Cactus knows he's doing good, he scrapes Hunter's head against the cage and the wound gets opened up even further
26:51But Jack's nowhere near done, he knows it's going to take a lot more to beat Triple H
26:56So he grabs a chair and drops it on Triple H from the apron
26:59This bump makes the champion convulse and all Jack has to do is get Triple H in the ring and
27:04pin him
27:04Instead, Cactus grabs the ring steps, he launches them at Hunter, Triple H moves out of the way
27:10and the steps go right through the cage
27:11The hell in the cell has been opened up and just to make sure, Cactus throws himself through the cage
27:16This little stunt rips Foley's arm open but Mick doesn't care
27:20He throws Hunter out of the cage, Hunter fortunately does not get his arm ripped to shreds
27:25but he does take a piledriver on the announce table before Mick tries to climb the cage
27:29Stephanie stops Cactus and before he can retaliate, Triple H wakes up
27:33Mick again takes the champion out and then Cactus goes looking for some toys
27:37He finds his 2x4 wrapped in barbed wire and as soon as Hunter sees this, he tries to run away
27:42No such luck
27:44Hunter takes a shot right to the head and the champion then decides he needs to get out of here
27:49He has to get away from Mick Foley
27:50Triple H decides to climb up the cage and here we go guys
27:54It was always so nerve wrecking when superstars climbed the old hell in a cell
27:58Mick follows Hunter but to get up there, he needs to throw his 2x4 on top of the cell
28:03Triple H takes the weapon and he pushes the barbed wire into Foley's head
28:07Triple H then steps on Foley's hands and Mick goes falling off the side of the cage through a table
28:13Not as bad as King of the Ring 98 but still, you can't blame the guy for being a little
28:17more safe
28:18Cactus gets himself up, Hunter decides to stay on top of the cell
28:22and Mick really struggles when trying to throw a chair to the cell roof
28:26To be fair, this is probably way harder than it looks
28:29Mick gives up, he then decides to just climb up there and face Triple H
28:33But Hunter utilizes that 2x4 to great effect and you can see it's real barbed wire when it starts sticking
28:38to Foley's shirt
28:39Anxiety levels are now through the roof as both men fight on top of the cage
28:43A corner panel begins to break when Triple H takes a fall
28:47Cactus then suplexes Hunter on the neighboring panel and I'm guessing this cage has been reinforced
28:53We aren't hearing the support clips snap this time around but it's still edge of your seat stuff as the
28:58two continue to fight up there
28:59Mick performs a double arm DDT, he then gets a really really good idea that involves taking his 2x4 and
29:07setting it on fire
29:08Not only are these two men fighting on top of the cell, they're also introducing a fucking fire to this
29:14match
29:14Hunter takes a shot, Foley did his best to protect Triple H here and then the big spot of the
29:19match happens
29:20Foley tries to drop Triple H onto the flaming 2x4 but Hunter counters with a backdrop and a panel opens
29:26up
29:26Mick falls through and he creates a huge dent in the ring
29:30Obviously the WWF wanted to take some precautions here after Mick's last Hell in a Cell match
29:34But even still, it was a great looking bump and it was well set up
29:38No room for mistakes here and they pulled it off perfectly
29:41This is where our match ends, Triple H is surprised that Mick still has some life left in him
29:46and it gives fans a little hope that Cactus Jack can make the comeback of the century but that doesn't
29:51happen
29:51The game softens Cactus up with a few right hands, Triple H is surprised that Foley's still moving
29:56So Hunter puts Cactus out of his misery with a pedigree and the WWF champion retains his belt
30:01Mick Foley has been defeated and therefore he must retire
30:05My time plays in the arena as fans look on in disbelief but this is it, Foley's career is over
30:12Hunter leaves the ring alongside his wife Stephanie, AMT's run down to take Foley away
30:17But Mick refuses help, he leaves the ring a true warrior but also upset that he had two chances to
30:23beat Triple H
30:23and he couldn't do it, he just couldn't become WWF champion again
30:27Mick heads back up the ramp, he begins to tear up as he says goodbye
30:31And yes, Mick really did believe that this was it and this was supposed to be his final match
30:36Mick gets a standing ovation, you can't help but feel sorry for the guy
30:40But as it stands now, he won't be headlining WrestleMania and as a matter of fact, he won't be wrestling
30:46ever again
30:54Decent enough matches on the undercard tonight
30:56A couple of time wasters for sure, quite a few match finishes weren't great and the Rock vs Big Show
31:01was pretty boring
31:02But if the purpose of reliving the war is to compare both companies shows both weekly and monthly
31:07then Superbrawl 2000 was simply pathetic in comparison to No Way Out
31:12And I know, comparison's the thief of joy but WCW's also the thief of my sweet sweet time right now
31:18Whereas I can watch WWF pay-per-views of this era and actually feel like I'm getting something out of
31:23them
31:23Like rewatching these WWF shows gives me a nice history refresher
31:27Whereas there's a genuine internal struggle to keep myself motivated for WCW
31:32No Way Out wasn't brilliant by any means and I preferred Cactus vs Hunter at the Royal Rumble
31:37But this main event was still very good and it's worth checking out
31:41See ya on Thursday for Reliving the War Soldier and please take care
