00:04As if WCW in the year 2000 wasn't scary enough, it's time to get spooky at Halloween Havoc 2000, taking
00:11place on October 29th from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. This event's also sponsored by WCW Backstage
00:18Assault, so not a good omen right off the bat.
00:21Tonight we'll see Jeff Jarrett take on Sting, Booker T defend the WCW World Title against Scott Steiner, and our
00:27main event features Goldberg taking on Chronic in a 2 on 1 match. Yeah, weird main event.
00:33But before all that, we've got our opening bout, a three way dance for the WCW Tag Team titles. Let's
00:39go.
00:54Ladies and gents, fire up your grills because there's some big bratwurst on the menu. The Boogie Nights, consisting of
01:00Disco Inferno and Alex Wright, are taking on Billy Kidman and Rey Mysterio, and the holders of the Tag Team
01:05Gold, Mark Jindrak and Sean O'Hare.
01:07The Boogie Nights actually defeated the thrillers for the belts on October 9th, but Commissioner Mike Sanders restarted the match
01:14because he's a little cockroach.
01:15Conan joins the commentary table as Alex and Jindrak kick things off while Kidman looks on from his corner. He
01:22and Alex then team up to work over the big man, sending him to the outside.
01:25Kidman and Alex then start fighting with each other and Kidman takes control before tagging in Rey Jr. His Bronco
01:31gets well and truly busted though as Alex counters Rey's signature corner attack before tagging in Disco.
01:36Jindrak comes back in with a huge springboard crossbody to Disco in a tilt-award slam to Rey. O'Hare
01:42comes in and shows off his power with a huge pop-up power slam to Rey, but the former stablemates
01:47team up to take O'Hare down with a DDT.
01:49They continue to stay on Sean with more double teaming, but once again the alliance is short-lived as Rey
01:54attacks Disco.
01:55It starts to break down a bit as Kidman comes flying off the top with a back elbow and Alex
02:00connects with a top rope missile dropkick.
02:02Mr. Wright, unsurprisingly, takes control of the match and scores a near fall on Jindrak, but both he and Kidman
02:08get sent flying from a tower of doom out of the corner.
02:10All three partners get tagged in, O'Hare gets taken out at the knees by Rey who then drops the
02:16dime but can't make a follow-up cover. The thrillers and the animals end up on the floor and Kidman
02:20gets sent flying back into the ring from the floor by the tag team champions.
02:24O'Hare tries to do the same to Rey, but Alex intercepts him and gets a near fall from a
02:29power slam. Kidman scores with the Kid Crusher on Alex while Disco takes a middle rope Frankensteiner followed by a
02:35Bronco Buster.
02:35Rey then gets chucked over the top to the floor allowing Disco to hit the chart buster, but Rey breaks
02:41up his cover by dropping yet another dime.
02:44Sean then scores with a Sean Tom bomb to Disco and that's enough to get the win for the thrillers
02:48and that's enough for the thrillers to retain the tag team belts.
02:51And yep, a really fun opener here I have to say. The younger talent are once again proving their worth
02:56and are a glimmer of hope in the current WCW wasteland.
02:59After the match, the thrillers and the knights beat up the animals, including Conan. Sergeant AWOL comes down to clear
03:06out the ring and it looks like old K-Dogs in a pretty bad shape.
03:14Speaking of AWOL, he's in action right now as the Sarge challenges Reno for the Hardcore Championship. Sarge is already
03:20setting up a table as the Hardcore Champion makes his way down to the ring.
03:23Right off the bat, AWOL gets put through his own table with a flapjack from Reno, but it only gets
03:28the two. Reno stays in control on the outside with some weapon shots including a trash can which has been
03:33tied to the ring post. For some reason.
03:35The Sarge does get a second win though as he whacks Reno with a kendo stick before dropping the champ
03:39across the steel barricade. Reno then gets a trash can put over his head and AWOL does his best Eric
03:45Cantona impression as he boots the bin in Reno's dome.
03:47AWOL does it again, it looks a lot better this time around, and he goes over to too sweet Stevie
03:53Ray because… you know… that whole connection there?
03:57The lads make their way up the entrance ramp and the challenger looks like he wants to chokeslam Reno off
04:02the stage, but a shot at AWOL's A-balls prevent that from happening.
04:06Reno takes advantage of the situation and connects with his roll of the dice on the ramp. The champ then
04:11grabs a pair of tables and stacks him up. You've all watched enough wrestling to know how this plays out.
04:16He who sets it up must go through it, so of course, Reno gets sent through both tables.
04:21The lads eventually head to the backstage area where AWOL shows his distaste for Windows 2000 by chucking a PC
04:27monitor at Reno. Reno has bad aim but don't worry mate, you can still play solitaire on it.
04:32Yet another table gets broken as the Sarge goes through it and the two continue to scrap around the backstage
04:37area before finally coming back out to the ringside area where our match comes to an end.
04:42Is AWOL setting up yet another table? Reno cracks him across the back with a chair, allowing him to hit
04:48a second roll of the dice on the floor for the win.
04:51To be honest, this was better than a majority of the hardcore matches WCW's put on this year, but believe
04:56me, this isn't saying an awful lot.
04:59We get another post-match attack as the thrillers come down to beat up AWOL, until members of the MIA
05:04come down to make the save.
05:06Christ almighty lads, we get a promo from the thrillers backstage but clearly this was filmed earlier in the day
05:12as Chuck and Stasiak have their street clothes on when literally 10 seconds ago they were in their ring gear.
05:18And people wonder why folk take the piss out of WCW from this time period. Shane Douglas saunters in and
05:24they do eventually flash up an earlier today graphic, even though Shane mentions how pleased he was that the thrillers
05:30took out Conan in our first match.
05:32I mean, fuck it, who cares at this point?
05:36If you guys love the natural born thrillers or the MIA then this is the show for you as these
05:42two factions are squaring off once again.
05:44This time, it's Stasiak and Palumbo taking on Lieutenant Loco and Corporal Cajun in a tag team match.
05:50Before we get to that though, the commentators recap Goldberg spearing the ring post on Thunder and they say they're
05:56unsure of the extent of Billy Boy's injuries.
05:58What they do know is that Goldberg has not yet arrived at the arena so we'll have to see how
06:03this plays out.
06:04They did the same thing more or less at the Great American Bash.
06:07Keep in mind, the next time Goldberg loses, he's done in WCW so if he can't compete then that's as
06:12good as a loss.
06:14Right, anyway, tag team match. This one's just been added to the card and the misfits sprint to the ring
06:19to get it started.
06:20They send Palumbo to the floor and Stasiak's on the end of some double teaming.
06:24Loco stays in control even when Palumbo comes in but that doesn't mean he won't take some assistance from his
06:29tag team partner.
06:30Cajun delivers some chops in the corner and he follows up with a top rope clothesline before tagging in Loco.
06:35The lieutenant takes a rough landing off a hotshot from Palumbo and the perfect event have a bit of a
06:40tiff before going for a double team move.
06:43Remember, Coach Nash has been trying his best to stop these boys from fighting.
06:47Stasiak's been the odd man out of the NBT as of late and the commentators even say that Stasiak's out
06:52for himself.
06:53Though there's nothing wrong with that big double flopjack, to be fair.
06:57Loco takes a sit down powerbomb and the perfect event seem to be on the same page for now.
07:01Palumbo catches Loco and he throws him overhead, first with a fall away slam and then with an overhead belly
07:06to belly.
07:07Loco counters a gorilla press from Stasiak and he makes the tag to the corporal.
07:11Cajun looks pretty good until he gets wiped out with a forearm from Stasiak.
07:15Chuck pops on a sleeper which stays applied for a good while before Cajun fights out,
07:19but he's immediately being put back in that sleeper as the crowd begin to slowly lose patience.
07:25Cajun fights out again and both men are down after the corporal hits a springboard axe factor.
07:29Loco gets the tag and all four men get in the ring for a fight.
07:33Some heel buffoonery occurs when Palumbo superkicks his own partner and this sets Stasiak up for a tornado DDT from
07:39Loco.
07:39That's gonna be a 1-2-3 for the MIA. Take it or leave it really.
07:44I'd only bother watching this one if you're a big fan of any of the guys involved.
07:48We immediately go backstage where Conan's still hurting from earlier on.
07:52Both Kidman and Mysterio say they'd replace Kaidog in this match, but they already wrestled earlier on.
07:58Not exactly sure why this is any kind of excuse, seeing as it's now expected for guys to wrestle multiple
08:02matches on Nitro,
08:04but yeah, whatever.
08:05Conan storms off and could we be seeing dissension within yet another faction in WCW?
08:11Surely not.
08:16More tag team action next, this time of the inter-gender variety as the franchise and Tory Wilson take on
08:22Conan in Tigris.
08:23Oceano has an unfair advantage in this one as he has Wonder Woman on his team, which surely goes against
08:29the contractual stipulations that both teams sign before the bout.
08:32Shane cuts a promo, because of course he does, saying that Conan should know that once he's had his ass
08:38kicked, he should also know to stay down.
08:40He also says that saying as Tigris no longer has a partner for this match, she should come down to
08:44the ring and get her ass franchised.
08:46One of these days, he'll explain what that actually means.
08:50Tigris makes her way down and she says that Conan may not be able to fight, but she's more than
08:54willing to take out Shane's punk ass and Tory's hoochie ass all by herself.
08:58Yeah, it sounded better when she said it.
09:00Shane and Tory shove Tigris down, but Douglas gets his balls franchised as he takes a low blow.
09:06The ladies stumble around for a bit and Tory gets set up for a bronco buster, but Shane puts a
09:10stop to that before the heels set up a double franchisor.
09:13And then Conan finally hits the ring to make the save.
09:16That back injury seems to have cleared up pretty quickly as he takes out both Shane and Tory and he
09:21even pulls off his rolling lariat.
09:23All four participants scrap on the outside for a while before Shane takes some double team offence back inside the
09:28ropes.
09:29Tory tries to run interference, but that doesn't go overly brilliantly as Shane continues to get battered by both Conan
09:35and Tigris.
09:36That is until he decides to punch Tigris right in the mouth, of course.
09:40She proceeds to get double teamed. Not like that, you degenerates.
09:43Right up until she counters Tory's corner attack and connects with an X factor, but it only gets a two.
09:49Shane comes in and Tigris gets made humble as she gets pooed in a chemo clutch.
09:53She refuses to quit, so Shane applies a standing chicken wing.
09:57The crowd do rally behind Tigris here and, not joking, it's the most noise they've made all night.
10:02She's able to escape and she makes the tag to Conan, who takes it to the franchise with a backdrop,
10:07a seated dropkick and a DDT.
10:09The match breaks down and as Conan delivers some mounted punches, Tigris goes for a bronco buster.
10:14But Tory pulls the referee in the way and charge gets a face full of stuff. I hate that name.
10:21Tory then hits a franchisor on Conan, but it doesn't get the job done.
10:24Unlike the double face buster from Conan and Tigris to Shane, which does.
10:29A weird match here as Conan's injury played no part in the bout, so what was even the point?
10:34But the crowd seemed invested in this one, so I don't know.
10:39Oh hell yes, our boy David's backstage. He's with Mean Gene and two of the most convincing lab technicians you'll
10:46ever see.
10:46David calls Buff a gigolo piece of crap, which was pretty prophetic on his part to be fair.
10:51And he says that once he gets Buff's blood, he can run a DNA test and prove that he's the
10:56father of Stacy's baby.
10:57So, yeah, some context may be useful.
11:00Stacy and David were supposed to get married on the September 11th episode of Nitro after Stacy revealed she was
11:06pregnant.
11:06The wedding didn't go as planned though, because Stacy decided now would be a great time to announce that David
11:11wasn't the father.
11:13Flair Jr went off the deep end, desperate to find out who it was that slung it up as Mrs.
11:17Due to Buff being a bit of a ladies man, David settled on him as the main culprit, without any
11:22real proof, but hey-ho.
11:24So now we have this match to see who the real daddy is.
11:27I'm confused for a number of reasons, you know, in life in general, but surely if Buff isn't the father,
11:33he'd have no issue taking a DNA test just to shut David up and move on with his life.
11:38But anyway, here comes David with both a DNA kit and his trusty jobber shirt.
11:43Buff doesn't seem to be a fan of either as he flips off Flair Jr before the match begins.
11:47This one's essentially a first blood match and Bagwell makes light work of David in the early going.
11:52But David, being a Flair and all, pulls off the turnbuckle spot that his dad used to do in quite
11:57well too, honestly.
11:58But he meets the same fate as his dad as he gets thrown off the top rope to the mat.
12:03Buff continues to wreck David with some corner punches and David flops better than his dad ever did, look at
12:08that.
12:08Bagwell proceeds to take the piss out of a broken man, which is not very babyface of you, good sir,
12:13and he pays for it with a shot to the gut before David sends Buff outside.
12:17He pulls up the mats and he looks to pile drive Bagwell, much like someone did to David's missus, but
12:23Buff counters with a backdrop.
12:24Bagwell does get sent into the barricade and David looks to crack him over the head with a chair, but
12:29Buff gets out of the way.
12:30David gets hoisted by his own chair, is it he who takes a shot with a weapon and that's enough
12:35to bust David open.
12:37The commentators say that the match is over, but Bagwell hits a blockbuster before the referee rings the bell and
12:42the camera then shows Lex Luger coming down to the ring.
12:45We haven't seen Lex since he helped Vince Russo on the September 25th episode of Nitro, but Russo's no longer
12:50a TV character.
12:52Luger celebrates with Bagwell before… attacking Bagwell. It's a swerve, bro.
12:57Luger throws Buff into the ring post on the outside causing his mouth to bleed, and so David grabs a
13:02sample of Buff's blood and he buggers off up the ramp.
13:05He hands the sample over to his two lab goons and I guess we'll find out tomorrow night on Nitro
13:10if Buff really is the daddy.
13:16We see Goldberg arriving at the building before heading over to Pamela Polshok who's currently with Medesia in Big Papa
13:22Pump.
13:23Scotty says he beat Goldberg last month, no one cares about Billy Boy, and everyone should be talking about Scotty
13:29Steiner.
13:29He says that Booker T's bitten off more than he can chew and that size does indeed matter.
13:35Up next, fuck me running, it's Mike Sanders taking on Ernest Miller in a kickboxing match with the winner becoming
13:41the WCW commissioner.
13:43Sanders, along with Palumbo and Stasiak, cuts a promo saying that this won't be anything like the rumble in the
13:48jungle or the thriller in Manila.
13:50I totally believe him.
13:52But this will instead be him dead in the cat's ass.
13:56That's a direct quote by the way and I have no clue what it means or why he said it.
14:00Miller comes out with Miss Jones and the legitimate three time world karate champion says he's going to whip Sanders'
14:06ass.
14:07A bit generic but I can at least understand what he's on about.
14:10This one is three two minute rounds.
14:12If you get knocked down you have until the count of ten to get back to your feet.
14:16Sanders gets knocked down seconds into round one and he continues to get battered throughout the round.
14:21Baked shows off some fancy footwork in round two as he stays in control but Sanders survives.
14:25Shane Douglas shows up before the third and final round and he decks Miller with a chain wrapped around his
14:30fist while the referee was distracted.
14:33The cat survives to the end of the round and instead of going to any sort of judging panel for
14:37a decision, they just keep going.
14:40Miller goes to the outside to fight with Shane and he ends up getting counted out like an idiot.
14:45So yeah, Mike Sanders is the one and only WCW commissioner and not a single person in the arena or
14:51watching at home could even be bothered to care.
14:53What a waste of everyone's time this was.
14:58Backstage, Goldberg mentions to some doctor that he's been having dizzy spells since Monday night but there's no way he
15:03won't be competing at Halloween Havoc.
15:06Chronic, on the other hand, don't really care if they compete or not as they'll be getting paid either way.
15:11But Big Brian Adams reiterates that if Goldberg doesn't compete, then that counts as a forfeit.
15:17On we go with this infernal show as our resident 70s enthusiast Mike Awesome takes on Vampiro.
15:23Mike beat Vampiro on the September 18th Nitro so Vampiro wanted a rematch over a month later.
15:28The rematch didn't happen sooner because Vamp got injured.
15:31Injured long enough for fans not to care anymore.
15:34Vamp has a rather fetching ensemble but is without the ICP.
15:38He does have a sword with him for some reason though and I don't know why.
15:41Awesome has a world title match tomorrow night but Stevie Ray points out that if Vampiro beats him here then
15:47surely he should be considered the number one contender.
15:50Don't worry Stevie, I don't think we'll have to worry about that particular scenario taking place.
15:54Right enough though, Vampiro seems to have a similar thought pattern as he does indeed challenge Mike to put that
15:59world title match on the line.
16:01Awesome agrees and the fight's on.
16:03Neither man can get the advantage until Awesome floors Vamp with a shoulder block which sends our gothic friend out
16:07of the floor.
16:08Awesome dives over the top rope onto Vamp who then gets sent over the guard rail and into the crowd,
16:13wiping out the security lady in the process.
16:16Awesome dives off that same guard rail onto Vamp and the two scrap into the crowd for a bit to
16:20kill some time.
16:21Vampiro uses some dude's walking stick to attack Awesome while a random fan uses himself to attack Awesome.
16:28This didn't end well and the fan took shots from both Mike and Vampiro.
16:31We end up back at the ringside area because clearly these Vegas fans aren't to be trusted and Vampiro delivers
16:37a clothesline off the announce table.
16:39Vamp throws a couple of chairs into the ring and the two get their duel of fates on as they
16:43smash their chairs together.
16:44Awesome gets his chair kicked back in his face before taking a few chops in the corner.
16:49And by the way, the crowd is absolutely dead for this match as they have been for most of the
16:53night.
16:54So much so that they barely make any noise for a top rope overhead belly to belly.
16:58Vamp heads up top and he proceeds to fly helmet first into Awesome.
17:02I think Awesome was supposed to catch him here and turn it into a powerbomb but that didn't happen and
17:07instead it just looked a bit silly.
17:09Mike grabs a table and he brings it into the ring but Vamp scores with a nail in the coffin
17:12before the table can get used.
17:14Vampiro then goes under the ring to look for a specific weapon but it seems like someone's moved it and
17:19he can't find it.
17:20It's very awkward.
17:21On the outside, Mike hits a sit down powerbomb on the floor but it only gets a two.
17:25Back in the ring, both men end up on the top rope and Mike scores with a top rope Awesome
17:29bomb for the win.
17:30And man, this was not great.
17:33The in-ring action was all kind of disjointed and really sloppy at times which you don't really expect from
17:38these two.
17:38The dead crowd didn't help either but you can't blame them given what they've seen so far tonight.
17:47Mean Gene Okerlund's backstage with General Rekshin who once again has an opportunity to win back major guns and the
17:53US title.
17:54Rekshin says that at this very pay-per-view a year ago he was told it was time to wrap
17:58it up but he came back to prove everyone wrong and make a point.
18:02Tonight Big Rekshin's gonna make that point, win, lose or draw.
18:06So it's Rekshin vs Landstorm and Jim Duggan in a handicap match. Kinda shits all over your main event stipulation
18:12to have another two on one match earlier on in the card but sure what do I know.
18:16We cut back to the arena to see Vampiro being helped out of the ring and when you look at
18:21the replay you can see why he needs a hand.
18:23His head bounced off the mat pretty damn hard.
18:27Speaking of hard, here comes major guns accompanying the US, sorry, Canadian heavyweight champion and hacksaw Jim Duggan down to
18:33the ring.
18:34The crowd finally makes some noise as they chant USA and Lance grabs a mic and he says that that
18:39interview with General Rekshin almost brought a tear to his eye as it's sad when a man can't admit when
18:44he's beaten.
18:45All that Americans never say die propaganda won't work tonight because Lance can't be beat and that's because he's from
18:52Calgary.

24:29de deck before the stinger looks to apply the death lock. As he's about to turn Jarrod
24:34over though, a fourth sting appears through the ring mat and this one's dressed is crow sting.
24:39This is actually Chris Harris by the way and he drags the stinger down underneath the ring. Jarrod
24:44thinks this time his plan's finally worked but no, fake sting the fourth has been bloodied up and he
24:49gets in flying over the top rope. We get a pair of stinger splashes and just as sting's about to
24:54go
24:54for the death drop, the lights go out and the fans start to boo at this point. Poundland sting then
25:00comes down from the rafters, it's another crow sting so they must have ran out of ideas and he also
25:05gets beaten up so much that his hair comes off. He takes the death drop through the announce table
25:09and back in the ring sting wants to put Jarrod in the death lock again but Chris Harris sting whacks
25:14the real sting over the head with a guitar. This has no effect seemingly as harris ends up getting
25:20taken out but a guitar shot from double j is enough to finally put sting down for the three count.
25:24I mean what the fuck to even say about this. I hesitate to even call this a match as any
25:29action
25:30we got was limited to punches, stinger splashes and guitar shots. I do like the idea of sting facing his
25:35past but not all at the same time. Like surely it would've made more sense for him to fight a
25:40version of himself every week on Nitro to build up to this match? Instead, having all these stingers
25:45appear during a single bout just watered down the concept, it got old quick and the crowd felt the
25:50same way. The idea was there but the execution was, well, it was typically WCW in the year 2000.
26:02Pamela is backstage with WCW champion Booker T, he says there's a difference between deserving a world
26:07title and just talking about it and he tells Big Papa Pump to just come down and get some. Booker
26:12then
26:12turns his attention to Goldberg, he says that he respects Billy Boy and so because of that,
26:17he's going to put the world title on the line right now as opposed to in the main event. This
26:21will,
26:22in turn, give Goldberg more time to prepare. What a nice fella that Booker T is.
26:27So yeah, here we go, Scotty Steiner gets his shot at the WCW World Heavyweight Championship against
26:31Booker T at Halloween Havoc. Michael Buffer earns his more than well deserved paycheck by saying a
26:36catchphrase that I won't say is getting sued isn't really something I want to deal with today. The
26:41champion comes out first, which has always been a pet peeve of mine, but the challenger seems rather
26:46perturbed that the match order has been changed and he ends up attacking one of the agents backstage.
26:51Scotty has no choice but to head to the ring, accompanied by his head hoochie, Madasia,
26:55and Scott makes a beeline for Booker's brother Stevie Ray at the commentary table to talk some
27:00trash before doing the same with the fans at ringside. Booker looks to get the crowd on his
27:04side before the two men lock up and Steiner shows off his power by pushing the champion back to the
27:08corner. A back elbow floors Booker and Scotty lays in a few more shots in the corner, but Booker comes
27:14back with a back elbow of his own followed by a flying forearm for a two count. Steiner bails to
27:19the
27:19floor for a breather before jumping into the crowd to jaw jack with the fans, when he gets back in
27:23the
27:23ring he puts the champion down again and he lays in some more hard right hands, but Booker comes back
27:28and the challenger goes down following a spin kick to the face. Booker lays in a few mounted punches and
27:34there's a smattering of bows for the champion. Madasia trips Booker, Scott takes advantage by knocking
27:39him out of the ring and Booker then gets sent into the guardrail before taking a shot with a chair.
27:44Into the audience we go where Steiner continues to stay in control and when they come back over
27:49the safety rail, Booker gets put through the makeshift announce table right in front of his
27:53big brother. Scotty gives Stevie a hard time and it looks like Big Papa Pump has this one in the
27:57bag.
27:58He delivers his Steiner line and elbow drop combination and Scott, of course, goes after the
28:03referee when Booker kicks out of two. The champ gets stretched out for a bit, he fights out and
28:08puts Steiner down with a neckbreaker before setting Scotty up for an axe kick, but the challenger
28:13instead drops Booker with another clothesline. The champ gets set up on the top rope and Steiner
28:17delivers a middle rope Samoan drop before getting in a few pushups, as is required during any world
28:22title match. Booker comes back momentarily but a low blow puts a stop to that and a belly to belly
28:28puts the champion on the mat once again. Scotty charges but Booker leapfrogs over Big Papa Pump who
28:33falls between the ropes to the floor and after a brief scuffle outside the two get back in the ring
28:38for
28:38another Booker T sidekick followed by a missile dropkick. Axe kick from Book but he isn't able
28:43to make the cover, Medesia hands Scotty the lead pipe, Booker goes for a Harlem sidekick but Steiner
28:48whacks him in the leg and the champion's in a lot of trouble. By the way this isn't an ODQ
28:53match and
28:53I've heard no mention of relaxed rules throughout the show so who knows why this isn't a disqualification.
28:59Scotty then attacks Charles Robinson, he hangs him in the corner in a tree of wool, it looks a tad
29:04hilarious
29:05as Scotty hits a double underhook powerbomb to set up for the recliner and Scotty locks it in,
29:10another ref comes down so Scott attacks him for some reason before going back to the recliner,
29:15this causes a third referee to come down and throw the match out, Scotty whacks him with the pipe as
29:20well as all of the security that comes down to the ring and yup, complete cluster of a finish.
29:26Scott continues to beat up Booker after the bell, Jeff Jarrett comes down to call Steiner off and that,
29:31fellow grapple fans, is how the world title match ends. I don't know man, this has so many things
29:36wrong with it I don't even know where to start. If the shot with the lead pipe wasn't a DQ
29:41then how
29:42come attacking officials is? And why did it take Scott attacking two of them for the match to get
29:47called off? Plus, having Scott attack officials when he seemingly had the match won just makes
29:51him look like a bit of an idiot more than an unhinged madman. No one comes out of this looking
29:56good,
29:57so what was even the point? Why can't WCW apply basic logic to their match finishes?
30:06Right, main event time, thank you sweet Jesus. It's a handicap match, Chronic vs Goldberg. If
30:12Goldberg loses, he's gone from WCW and if I were him, I wouldn't be seeing that as much of a
30:17negative
30:18at this point in time. Chronic make their way down to the ring and Bryan Adams proceeds to take the
30:22piss
30:23out of Billy Boy as he seemingly hasn't been cleared to compete. Their music plays, they get their hands
30:27raised, so goodnight from Las Vegas everyone. Oh but wait, the commission have in fact cleared Goldberg,
30:34surprise surprise, and the match is on. Yeah, you gotta skate WCW, great job.
30:40Old Doug Dillinger retrieves Goldberg and Bill makes his journey to the entrance way. He slides into the
30:45ring, Chronic immediately double team him and some quite scrappy brawling takes place. Goldberg gets sent to
30:51the outside, Chronic continue to exploit the numbers advantage and they take Goldberg down with a
30:55double shoulder block back in the ring. Adams slides a table in as Clark drops Billy right on the dome
31:00with a DDT, the table gets set up in the corner and Chronic look to end it with a high
31:04times.
31:05Goldberg fights out, Adams gets sent out of the ring, Goldberg counters Clark's suplex, he sends him
31:10through the table with a spear and… that's it? Yeah, that's it over. All that build up for 2 minutes
31:17of
31:17action, story of your life eh? After the match, Adams hits a full nelson slam and it seems the match
31:23is
31:23still going? Ok, so it seems that Goldberg has to pin both members of Chronic, would've been really
31:30nice to have been told that in advance. Oh wait, nevermind, he hits another spear in a jackhammer
31:35to Adams and now the match is officially over. So yeah, that's Halloween Havoc folks, my god.
31:45There really is only one word I can use to describe this show, well there's quite a few but I'm
31:50only
31:51going to pick one. Halloween Havoc 2000 is an ordeal. Now this isn't the worst WCW pay-per-view of
31:57the
31:57year, which is quite frankly an incredible statement in itself, but it's the one that felt most like a
32:02slog to get through. There were far too many matches on this card, most of which went way longer than
32:07they
32:07had any right to, the Goldberg vs Chronic payoff was hugely underwhelming, the finish to the world
32:12title match made the champion look weak and the challenger look like a moron, Awesome vs Vampiro was
32:17sloppy and it had no hate, the list of negatives go on and on. The only real highlight here was
32:23the
32:23opener and I'm not just saying that because it had Alex Wright in it, and yeah, that's really all
32:28there is to say. This show has nothing to offer and I can only imagine how this is going to
32:33translate
32:33tomorrow night on Nitro, though if you want to find out all about the Halloween Havoc 2000 Fallout,
32:38be sure to join me on Thursday for reliving the war.
32:41Thanks for watching everyone and please take care.
