00:00:20Paul, called to be an apostle of Jesus Christ through the will of God, and Sosthenes, our

00:00:26brother, unto the church of God which is at Corinth.

00:00:30To them that are sanctified in Christ Jesus, called to be saints, with all, that in every

00:00:35place call upon the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord, both theirs and ours, grace be unto you,

00:00:42and peace, from God our Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ.

00:00:47I thank my God always on your behalf, for the grace of God which is given you by Jesus Christ,

00:00:54that in everything ye are enriched by him, in all utterance and in all knowledge, even

00:01:01as the testimony of Christ was confirmed in you, so that ye come behind in no gift, waiting

00:01:07for the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, who shall also confirm you unto the end, that

00:01:14ye may be blameless in the day of our Lord Jesus Christ.

00:01:18God is faithful, by whom ye were called unto the fellowship of his Son Jesus Christ, our

00:01:25Now I beseech you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye all speak the

00:01:32same thing, and that there be no divisions among you, but that ye be perfectly joined

00:01:37together in the same mind and in the same judgment.

00:01:40For it hath been declared unto me of you, my brethren, by them which are of the house

00:01:45of Chloe, that there are contentions among you.

00:01:48Now this I say, that every one of you saith, I am of Paul, and I of Apollos, and I

00:01:56of Cephas,

00:01:57and I of Christ.

00:01:59Is Christ divided?

00:02:01Was Paul crucified for you, or were ye baptized in the name of Paul?

00:02:07I thank God that I baptized none of you, but Crispus and Gaius, lest any should say that

00:02:14I had baptized in my own name, and I baptized also the household of Stephanus.

00:02:19Besides, I know not whether I baptized any other, for Christ sent me, not to baptize, but

00:02:27to preach the gospel, not with wisdom of words, lest the cross of Christ should be made of

00:02:34none effect.

00:02:35For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness, but unto us which are saved

00:02:44it is the power of God.

00:02:46For it is written, I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and will bring to nothing the

00:02:54understanding of the prudent.

00:02:56Where is the wise?

00:02:59Where is the scribe?

00:03:01Where is the disputer of this world?

00:03:03Have not God made foolish the wisdom of this world?

00:03:08For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the

00:03:15foolishness of preaching to save them that believe.

00:03:18For the Jews require a sign, and the Greeks seek after wisdom, but we preach Christ crucified

00:03:28unto the Jews a stumbling block, and unto the Greeks foolishness.

00:03:34But unto them which are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God and the wisdom

00:03:42of God, because the foolishness of God is wiser than men, and the weakness of God is stronger

00:03:50than men.

00:03:51For ye see your calling, brethren, how that not many wise men after the flesh, not many

00:03:58mighty, not many noble, are called.

00:04:01But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise, and God hath chosen

00:04:14the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty, and base things of

00:04:22the world, and things which are despised.

00:04:25Christ hath hath God chosen, yea, and things which are not, to bring to naught things that

00:04:33are, that no flesh should glory in his presence.

00:04:38But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and

00:04:46sanctification, and redemption, that, according as it is written, he that glorieth, let him glorify,

00:04:55glory, in the Lord.

00:05:031 Corinthians 2

00:05:06And I, brethren, when I came to you, came not with excellency of speech or wisdom, declaring

00:05:13unto you the testimony of God.

00:05:15For I determined not to know anything among you, save Jesus Christ, and him crucified.

00:05:21And I was with you in weakness, and in fear, and in much trembling.

00:05:26And my speech and my preaching was not with enticing words of man's wisdom, but in demonstration

00:05:33of the Spirit, and of power, that your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the

00:05:40power of God.

00:05:42How be it we speak wisdom among them that are perfect, yet not the wisdom of this world, nor

00:05:49of the princes of this world, that come to naught.

00:05:53But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before

00:06:01the world, unto our glory, which none of the princes of this world knew.

00:06:07For had they known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory.

00:06:13But, as it is written,

00:06:16I hath not seen, nor ear heard,

00:06:20neither have entered into the heart of man,

00:06:22the things which God hath prepared for them,

00:06:25that love him.

00:06:26But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit.

00:06:31For the Spirit searcheth all things,

00:06:37yea, the deep things of God.

00:06:41For what man knoweth the things of a man,

00:06:45save the Spirit of man which is in him?

00:06:47Even so, the things of God knoweth no man,

00:06:51but the Spirit of God.

00:06:53Now we have received, not the Spirit of the world,

00:06:57but the Spirit, which is of God,

00:07:01that we might know,

00:07:02the things that are freely given to us of God,

00:07:05which things also we speak,

00:07:08not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth,

00:07:11but which the Holy Ghost teacheth,

00:07:14comparing spiritual things with spiritual.

00:07:19But the natural man receiveth not the things

00:07:22of the Spirit of God,

00:07:23for they are foolishness unto him.

00:07:26Neither can he know them,

00:07:28because they are spiritually discerned.

00:07:32But he that is spiritual

00:07:34judgeth all things,

00:07:37yet he himself is judged of no man.

00:07:43For who hath known the mind of the Lord,

00:07:46that he may instruct him?

00:07:49But we have the mind of Christ.

00:08:01First Corinthians, chapter 3

00:08:05And I, brethren,

00:08:07could not speak unto you as unto spiritual,

00:08:09but as unto carnal,

00:08:11even as unto babes in Christ.

00:08:14I have fed you with milk,

00:08:16and not with meat.

00:08:18For hitherto ye were not able to bear it,

00:08:20neither yet now are ye able.

00:08:22For ye are yet carnal.

00:08:25For whereas there is among you

00:08:27envying and strife and divisions,

00:08:30are ye not carnal,

00:08:32and walk as men?

00:08:33For while one saith,

00:08:35I am of Paul,

00:08:50I have planted,

00:08:53Apollos watered,

00:08:55but God gave the increase.

00:09:01neither is he that planteth anything,

00:09:04neither he that watereth,

00:09:06but God that giveth the increase.

00:09:10Now he that planteth,

00:09:12and he that watereth,

00:09:13are one,

00:09:13and every man shall receive his own reward,

00:09:16according to his own labor.

00:09:18For we are laborers,

00:09:21together with God.

00:09:22Ye are God's husbandry,

00:09:25ye are God's building.

00:09:27According to the grace of God,

00:09:29which is given unto me,

00:09:30as a wise master builder,

00:09:33I have laid the foundation,

00:09:35and another buildeth thereon.

00:09:37But let every man take heed,

00:09:40how he buildeth thereupon.

00:09:41For other foundation can no man lay,

00:09:45than that is laid,

00:09:47which is Jesus Christ.

00:09:49Now if any man build upon this foundation,

00:09:53gold,

00:09:54silver,

00:09:55precious stones,

00:09:57wood,

00:09:59every man's work shall be made manifest,

00:10:02for the day shall declare it,

00:10:04because it shall be revealed by fire,

00:10:07and the fire shall try every man's work,

00:10:10of what sort it is.

00:10:11If any man's work abide,

00:10:13which he hath built thereupon,

00:10:15he shall receive a reward.

00:10:17If any man's work shall be burned,

00:10:20he shall suffer loss,

00:10:21but he himself shall be saved,

00:10:24yet so as by fire.

00:10:27Know ye not,

00:10:29that ye are the temple of God,

00:10:30and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?

00:10:34If any man defile the temple of God,

00:10:38him shall God destroy,

00:10:40for the temple of God is holy,

00:10:42which temple ye are.

00:10:45Let no man deceive himself.

00:10:48If any man among you seemeth to be wise in this world,

00:10:53let him become a fool,

00:10:56that he may be wise,

00:10:58for the wisdom of this world

00:11:00is foolishness with God,

00:11:03for it is written,

00:11:05He taketh the wise,

00:11:07and their own craftiness,

00:11:09and again,

00:11:10the Lord knoweth

00:11:12the thoughts of the wise,

00:11:14that they are vain.

00:11:15Therefore let no man glory in men,

00:11:18for all things are yours,

00:11:21whether Paul,

00:11:22or Apollos,

00:11:23or Cephas,

00:11:24or the world,

00:11:25or life,

00:11:26or death,

00:11:27or things present,

00:11:28or things to come,

00:11:29all are yours,

00:11:31and ye are Christ's,

00:11:34and Christ is God's.

00:11:421 Corinthians chapter 4

00:11:46Let a man so account of us,

00:11:48as of the ministers of Christ,

00:11:50and stewards of the mysteries of God.

00:11:54Moreover it is required in stewards,

00:11:56that a man be found faithful.

00:11:59But with me it is a very small thing,

00:12:02that I should be judged of you,

00:12:04or of man's judgment.

00:12:06Yea,

00:12:06I judge not my known self,

00:12:09for I know nothing,

00:12:10by myself,

00:12:12yet,

00:12:13am I not hereby justified.

00:12:15But he that judgeth me,

00:12:17is the Lord.

00:12:19Therefore judge nothing,

00:12:21before the time,

00:12:22until the Lord come,

00:12:23who both will bring to light,

00:12:25the hidden things of darkness,

00:12:27and will make manifest,

00:12:29the counsels of the hearts,

00:12:30and then shall every man,

00:12:36I have in a figure,

00:12:37transferred to myself,

00:12:38and to Apollos for your sakes,

00:12:40that ye might learn in us,

00:12:42not to think of men,

00:12:44above that which is written,

00:12:46that no one of you,

00:12:47be puffed up,

00:12:48for one against another.

00:12:50For who maketh thee,

00:12:51to differ from another?

00:12:53And what hast thou,

00:12:54that thou didst not receive?

00:12:57Now if thou didst receive it,

00:13:00why dost thou glory,

00:13:02as if thou hadst not received it?

00:13:05Now ye are full,

00:13:07now ye are rich,

00:13:09ye have reigned as kings,

00:13:11without us,

00:13:13and I would to God ye did reign,

00:13:15that we also might reign with you.

00:13:18For I think that God hath set forth us,

00:13:21the apostles last,

00:13:23as it were appointed to death,

00:13:25for we are made a spectacle,

00:13:27unto the world,

00:13:28and to angels,

00:13:29and to men.

00:13:30We are fools,

00:13:32for Christ's sake,

00:13:34but ye are wise in Christ.

00:13:37We are weak,

00:13:39but ye are strong.

00:13:41Ye are honorable,

00:13:42but we are despised.

00:13:45Even unto this present hour,

00:13:47we both hunger,

00:13:48and thirst,

00:13:49and are naked,

00:13:50and are buffeted,

00:13:52and have no certain dwelling place,

00:13:54and labor,

00:13:55working with our own hands.

00:13:57Being reviled,

00:13:59we bless.

00:14:00Being persecuted,

00:14:01we suffer it.

00:14:02Being defamed,

00:14:04we entreat.

00:14:05We are made as the filth of the world,

00:14:08and are the off-scouring of all things unto this day.

00:14:12I write not these things to shame you,

00:14:16but as my beloved sons,

00:14:18I warn you.

00:14:19For though ye have ten thousand instructors in Christ,

00:14:23yet have ye not many fathers.

00:14:26For in Christ Jesus,

00:14:28I have begotten you through the gospel.

00:14:32Wherefore I beseech you,

00:14:34be ye followers of me.

00:14:36For this cause have I sent unto you Timotheus,

00:14:39who is my beloved son,

00:14:41and faithful in the Lord,

00:14:43who shall bring you into remembrance of my ways which be in Christ,

00:14:47as I teach everywhere in every church.

00:14:51Now some are puffed up,

00:14:53as though I would not come to you,

00:14:55but I will come to you shortly,

00:14:58if the Lord will,

00:14:59and will know,

00:15:01not the speech of them which are puffed up,

00:15:03but the power.

00:15:04For the kingdom of God

00:15:06is not in word,

00:15:08but in power,

00:15:10what will ye?

00:15:11Shall I come unto you with a rod,

00:15:13or in love,

00:15:15and in the spirit of meekness?

00:15:251 Corinthians,

00:15:28It is reported commonly

00:15:30that there is fornication among you,

00:15:32and such fornication

00:15:34as is not so much as named among the Gentiles,

00:15:36that one should have his father's wife,

00:15:40and ye are puffed up,

00:15:42and have not rather mourned,

00:15:43that he that hath done this deed

00:15:45might be taken away from among you?

00:15:47For I verily,

00:15:49as absent in body,

00:15:50but present in spirit,

00:15:52have judged already,

00:15:54as though I were present,

00:15:55concerning him that hath so done this deed.

00:15:58In the name of our Lord Jesus Christ,

00:16:01when ye are gathered together,

00:16:03and my spirit,

00:16:04with the power of our Lord Jesus Christ,

00:16:06to deliver such an one unto Satan

00:16:08for the destruction of the flesh,

00:16:11that the spirit may be saved

00:16:14Your glorying is not good.

00:16:17Know ye not

00:16:18that a little leaven

00:16:20leaveneth the whole lump?

00:16:22Purge out therefore the old leaven

00:16:25that ye may be a new lump,

00:16:27as ye are unleavened.

00:16:29For even Christ our Passover

00:16:31is sacrificed for us.

00:16:34Therefore let us keep the feast,

00:16:36not with old leaven,

00:16:38neither with the leaven of malice

00:16:41but with the unleavened bread

00:16:45I wrote unto you in an epistle,

00:16:48not to company with fornicators,

00:16:57or with the idolaters.

00:16:59For then must ye needs

00:17:00to go out of the world.

00:17:02But now I have written unto you

00:17:04not to keep company,

00:17:06if any man that is called

00:17:07a brother be a fornicator,

00:17:10or covetous,

00:17:11or an idolater,

00:17:12or a railer,

00:17:13or a drunkard,

00:17:15or an extortioner,

00:17:17with such an one

00:17:18know not to eat.

00:17:20For what have I to do

00:17:21to judge them also

00:17:23that are without?
