00:00The Book of Genesis, Chapter 9
00:02And God blessed Noah and his sons, and said unto them,
00:07Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth.
00:11And the fear of you, and the dread of you, shall be upon every beast of the earth,
00:16and upon every fowl of the air, upon all that moveth upon the earth,
00:22and upon all the fishes of the sea.
00:24Into your hand are they delivered.
00:27Every moving thing that liveth shall be meat for you,
00:31even as the green herb have I given you all things.
00:35But flesh with the life thereof, which is the blood thereof,
00:40shall ye not eat.
00:42And surely your blood of your lives will I require.
00:46At the hand of every beast will I require it, and at the hand of man,
00:50at the hand of every man's brother, will I require the life of man.
00:55Whoso sheddeth man's blood, by man shall his blood be shed.
01:01For in the image of God made he man.
01:04And you, be ye fruitful, and multiply, bring forth abundantly in the earth,
01:10and multiply therein.
01:12And God spake unto Noah, and to his sons with him, saying,
01:16And I, behold, I establish my covenant with you, and with your seed after you,
01:22and with every living creature that is with you,
01:24of the fowl, of the cattle, and of every beast of the earth with you.
01:29From all that go out of the ark, to every beast of the earth.
01:33And I will establish my covenant with you.
01:36Neither shall all flesh be cut off any more, by the waters of a flood.
01:41Neither shall there any more be a flood, to destroy the earth.
01:45And God said,
01:47This is the token of the covenant which I make between me and you,
01:51and every living creature that is with you, for perpetual generations.
01:56I do set my bow in the cloud,
01:59and it shall be for a token of a covenant between me and the earth.
02:05And it shall come to pass, when I bring a cloud over the earth,
02:09that the bow shall be seen in the cloud.
02:12And I will remember my covenant,
02:15which is between me and you, and every living creature of all flesh.
02:19And the waters shall no more become a flood to destroy all flesh.
02:24And the bow shall be in the cloud,
02:26and I will look upon it,
02:28that I may remember the everlasting covenant,
02:31between God and every living creature of all flesh that is upon the earth.
02:36And God said unto Noah,
02:38This is the token of the covenant,
02:40which I have established between me and all flesh that is upon the earth.
02:46And the sons of Noah that went forth of the ark
02:49were Shem and Ham and Jathath.
02:51And Ham is the father of Canaan.
02:54These are the three sons of Noah,
02:56and of them was the whole earth overspread.
02:58And Noah began to be a husbandman,
03:01and he planted a vineyard.
03:02And he drank of the wine,
03:04and was drunken,
03:05and he was uncovered within his tent.
03:07And Ham,
03:08the father of Canaan,
03:09saw the nakedness of his father,
03:11and told his two brethren without.
03:13And Shem and Japheth took a garment,
03:16and laid it upon both their shoulders,
03:18and went backward,
03:19and covered the nakedness of their father.
03:21And their faces were backward,
03:23and they saw not their father's nakedness.
03:25And Noah awoke from his wine,
03:28and knew what his younger son had done unto him.
03:31And he said,
03:32Cursed be Canaan,
03:34a servant of servants,
03:36shall he be unto his brethren.
03:38And he said,
03:39Blessed be the Lord God of Shem,
03:41and Canaan shall be his servant.
03:44God shall enlarge Japheth,
03:46and he shall dwell in the tents of Shem,
03:49and Canaan shall be his servant.
03:51And Noah lived after the flood
03:53three hundred and fifty years.
03:55And all the days of Noah
03:57were nine hundred and fifty years.
03:59And he died.
