00:00So PC Gamer Magazine's been going since 1993, and here we are in 2026, and we've got a brand new
00:07redesign.
00:08The last time we redesigned the magazine was back in 2013.
00:11That was issue 282 of PC Gamer in the UK, and now in 2026, we've got our latest issue, which
00:18is issue 422, and here it is.
00:21I'm Rob, I'm Ellis for PC Gamer Magazine.
00:23I'm John, I'm the senior editor for PC Gamer.
00:25Red for PC Gamer has always been the underlying colour for the mag, as you can see all the way
00:31back in the heritage.
00:32It's always sat sort of parallel to Xbox in green, and it's sat parallel to PlayStation in blue.
00:37But in addition to red, with this redesign, I've sort of brought in a lot more teal and orange and
00:42sort of yellow as sort of secondary colours with that red.
00:46And you'll see that throughout this issue.
00:48When I was talking with John about how I wanted to evolve PC Gamer for the redesign, I wanted it
00:54to offer, obviously, something that was new that we hadn't been done before.
00:58I also wanted to honour this ridiculous heritage over 33 years.
01:03And so we're also bringing back certain things from previous iterations of PC Gamer Magazine in the redesign.
01:10And one of those is the face-off section of the opinion page.
01:15There's a question, and two of the editors will debate the point.
01:18And one more thing being brought back is the letters spread, the classic spread in PC Gamer magazines of old.
01:24I'm really happy to see it come back.
01:26Please write in.
