00:01Plans to build a specialist adult care home in a street in Wakefield have been approved
00:05despite objections from residents living nearby. Wakefield Council has given the go-ahead for the
00:10facility to be built on vacant land in Ruskin Avenue in Wrenthorpe. The local authority received
00:1737 objections to the scheme. Concerns were raised over a possible increase in traffic in the cul-de-sac
00:23saying it was bound to adversely impact the immunity of residents. A planning statement
00:30said the proposal seeks to deliver a high quality purpose-built residential environment
00:34that operates as a single household and daily movements will be comparable to a typical large
00:41family dwelling.
