00:11saying the property was in a considerable need of very costly repairs. The Grade 2 listed building
00:18on Brook Street in the city centre was built in 1598 and was the original home of Queen Elizabeth
00:24Grammar School. More recently it had been hired out as an event space but has been vacant for
00:29more than seven years. The council is expecting to receive around £20m from the sale of public
00:36land and property as part of efforts to downsize its portfolio due to financial pressures.
