00:00A vacant mansion, which was sold by Wakefield Council earlier this year, is set to become a hotel, spa and
00:06wedding venue.
00:07The council sold Woolley Hall and the 12.7 acre site at auction for just over £1.5 million as
00:15part of efforts to save costs.
00:17The building dates back to 1635 and became council property in 1947.
00:23It was once used as a residential college, but has been unused for around a decade.
00:28John Thomas, deputy leader and portfolio holder for Resources, said the building is now under the ownership of Bradford-based
00:36developers who intend to bring the property back into use while respecting Woolley Hall's important heritage.
