00:00DC would like to state that no braineese or insects were harmed in the making of this program
00:03and that none of the training you're about to see be attempted unless under expert supervision.
00:09Eight braineese, one challenge.
00:12To use complex mass of 100 billion cells we call Brain
00:16for chance to win Brain Jitsu Black Brain Belt.
00:19This is Brain Jitsu.
00:27Born in Lancashire, trained in Japan, with mind as sharp as samurai sword,
00:33he is brain master, he is the sensei.
00:37Konnichiwa, and welcome to Brain Jitsu.
00:42Mental training specially designed to boost brain power and focus.
00:48My trainees, or braineese, have been following a basic program of training
00:52in the comfort of their own home.
00:54A brain-boosting routine of exercise, sleep, and enough fruit and veg to stock a greengrocer's.
01:02I found the training really fun, it was really enjoyable.
01:05I did it, like, a lot, but I'm quite nervous at the moment.
01:08I did all the training and, well, it was really easy.
01:12I'm really confident that I'm going to do well today.
01:14I really want that black belt, and I will claim it at the end.
01:19Now, my braineese must put their training into practice
01:22by testing a part of the brain we use every day.
01:25Level one.
01:27No, no, vault!
01:30Take a look at all these chocolates.
01:32Mmm, yummy.
01:33But how many white rabbits are there?
01:36If you got six, then congratulations.
01:40You've just used your occipital lobes.
01:43This area, the seeing part of our brain, allows us to recognise and separate images from each other.
01:50The seven braineese who use their occipital lobes the best
01:53will be allowed to enter my brain jitsu dojo, where their training will continue.
01:58The one who fails will be left outside.
02:01Ho!
02:01Feel the burn.
02:04Enter the dojo!
02:09Our braineese must answer four questions by studying the different shapes and numbers on the board in front of them.
02:14Get the questions right, and they'll be left with a four-digit code,
02:18which they must then use to unlock a piece of brain and secure their place in the dojo.
02:23But with only seven pieces of brain and eight braineese,
02:27one of either Hannah, Tajani, Ritika, Sean, Leone, Michael, Tamara or Jonathan
02:34will be left outside uneliminated.
02:37A bang of the gong reveals the four questions.
02:42How many green stars are there?
02:51How many black numbers are there?
03:00How many orange number fives are there?
03:09How many shapes do not have numbers?
03:17The cord our braineese are looking for is 1-8-6-5.
03:27First off his stool is Sean, with Hannah not far behind.
03:31Do they have the cord, or have they gone too soon?
03:35Faster than you can say deep-fried dumplings, the rest of our braineese join them.
03:39All except Tajani, who's having to wait his turn.
03:45But Sean's not found that cord, and he's having to return for another look.
03:51Tajani gets his chance.
03:54And his lock springs open at the first attempt.
04:01Everyone else, meanwhile, has had to return for second helpings.
04:06A quick reminder that the cord our braineese are searching for is 1-8-6-5.
04:11As there's one green star, 8 black numbers, 6 orange number fives, and 5 shapes without numbers.
04:21Which means that Sean still hasn't found the right cord.
04:27Hannah is next to unlock a piece of brain, with Jonathan hot on the reels.
04:32But the rest of our braineese are still struggling.
04:35Come on, braineese, work those occipital lobes.
04:47With three more braineese safely through, it's now a straight fight between Leone and Sean for the last place in
04:53the dojo.
04:57Sean's up again, as he found the cord this time.
05:01Suffering sumos, he's still not got it.
05:09And this time, Leone's lock pops open, which means she's in and Sean is out.
05:17While seven have proven themselves worthy of entering the dojo and continuing their brain training, for Sean, it's the end
05:24of the road.
05:25I think the problem was because I was trying to read really quickly, and I just read something wrong, and
05:30I got the wrong number.
05:32I just feel gutted.
05:36So, with six levels to go, it's time for Tijani, Hannah, Jonathan, Tamara, Ritika, Michael and Leone to receive their
05:46yellow brain belts.
05:47The person I think is the one to beat is TJ, because, well, he did it so fast, and almost
05:53straight away he got it.
05:54I think that I've got weird taste to get the black belt.
05:57I may have come last, but this time I'll nail it, and I'll get the black belt.
06:04Rain Tito!
06:07In this next level of training, things are going to get really hard.
06:12Level two, orange belt.
06:16We do things every day without even thinking about it, like throwing a ball.
06:20But next time you're with your mates, try throwing it with the arm you wouldn't normally use.
06:26Yeah, a lot more difficult, isn't it?
06:28If you manage to do that, you're using part of your brain that deals with problem solving, the frontal lobes.
06:35And that's what level two is all about.
06:38Taking something you normally do without thinking, and doing it differently.
06:43Work it!
06:43To prepare them for using their frontal lobes in the next challenge, my brainees are going to need some training.
06:50Room of Mental Nourishment
06:54This is the Room of Mental Nourishment, where our young hopefuls will train their brains between every task.
07:03The more seriously they take their training, the better prepared they'll be for the challenges that lie ahead.
07:09And in level two, that challenge is all about getting their brains to think in a new way.
07:15Brain Training
07:15Take it in turns to call out the action on your cards. Everyone has to do the opposite.
07:22Keep tongue in mouth.
07:24Both arms down.
07:26It looks like our brainees home training has paid off.
07:30Touch nose with left hand.
07:33Spin around clockwise.
07:39Touch right ear.
07:41Hang on though, Michael's getting as mixed up as a bowl of noodles.
07:47Time for a tip.
07:49Don't rush. Pause for two seconds to think before you react.
07:53Top tip, Hannah.
07:54You see, spending a moment to think before rushing in really can improve your focus and help you to perform
08:00better.
08:01Right knee up.
08:03Opposites, Michael.
08:05I don't understand this game.
08:06Oh dear, oh dear.
08:08I got a few wrong about two, because at the beginning when we started the game, I wasn't paying attention
08:13to the instructions.
08:14Yeah, I'll definitely use the tip in the other hand, because it makes you think before you say I'll do
08:18anything.
08:20So, can Michael become unmuddled in time for the next task?
08:24Will Hannah remember to stop and think when the heat is on?
08:29It's time to find out, as our seven brainees now put their frontal lobe training to the test.
08:35Guardian of the dojo and task adjudicator the she-han will now demonstrate the level two challenge.
08:42Catchy-feely boxes!
08:45Inside seven boxes is hidden item, five of which match with item on shopping list.
08:51Brainees must take in turns to reach into each box and guess what inside, not by looking, but by feeling.
08:59If they think that item matches with one on list, they must try to remember number of box it is
09:06in.
09:07Once brainees have felt all seven boxes, then have 15 seconds to identify which box they are in.
09:16Brainees with least number of correct answer will be eliminated from dojo.
09:22My brainee tip for this task is to focus on just the items on the list and mentally tick them
09:29off as they fill each box.
09:31Work those frontal lobes.
09:34Our brainees wait nervously for the gong.
09:37If you want to know what they don't, here's what's on their shopping list today.
09:42In blue box number two, we have jelly.
09:45In yellow box number six, an apple.
09:49Green box three hides crisps.
09:54Pickled onions are in red box seven.
09:57And in orange box number five, a pair of socks.
10:00But there are also two distractions for our brainees.
10:03In pink box number one, are maggots.
10:05And in purple box four, some bandages.
10:08And if all that wasn't enough to make our brainees think differently,
10:12you'll have noticed we've also jumbled the box numbers.
10:16Three, two, one, it's go on the gong.
10:21Brainees have just five seconds to identify each item before moving on to the next box.
10:26Unable to see, the challenge is to use their training to think in a new way.
10:31Their hands must become their eyes as they focus solely on their sense of touch.
10:37Confident Jonathan dives into those maggots.
10:40He looks calm, but will he now remember to rule out box number one?
10:46Tiziani's found the jelly, but can he remember that it's in box number two?
10:51Tamara's not too sure about those pickled onions.
10:54Go on, Tamara, they won't bite you.
10:58Are Michael's frontal lobes helping him to identify what's in this box as crisps?
11:04Leone's also found those maggots, and unlike Jonathan, she don't look too happy.
11:11Will Hannah confuse the bandages in box four with the socks in number five?
11:17And can Ritika remember the location of the apple?
11:23That's all seven boxes.
11:26Our brainees now have 15 seconds to work out their answers.
11:30Here's that list again.
11:32And here are the box numbers.
11:43So, who's remembered their training and got their brains to think in a new way?
11:50Tiziani matched two items with the correct box.
11:53Hannah matched all five items.
11:56As did confident Jonathan.
11:58And Tamara.
12:01Ritika matched three items.
12:04The same score as Michael.
12:07While Leone, like Tiziani, matched just the two.
12:11Which means we've got ourselves a tie-break.
12:14Leone and Tiziani will get one chance to prove the power of their mind and save themselves.
12:20It all hangs on the...
12:22Tie-break chopsticks challenge!
12:26It's tough, but fair.
12:28Our brainees must use their occipital lobes, the seeing part of the brain,
12:32and work out how many chopsticks they see.
12:35They have just five seconds to write down their answers.
12:38If they lose focus and panic, it'll be all over.
12:42Time to reveal our brainees answers.
12:4551.
12:4760.
12:51Spooky kabuki!
12:52The actual number is 51.
12:55Which means Tiziani was exactly right.
12:58And although Leone went close, she must now leave the dojo.
13:08Walk of eternal regret.
13:12I think it went wrong for me because I was really scared
13:16and I was really nervous about what I'd be touching and what would be in there.
13:20Just really glad that I actually got through the first level.
13:25So with five levels to go, it's Tiziani, Hannah, Jonathan, Tamara, Ritika and Michael
13:32who go on to get their orange brain belts.
13:36I'm really shocked because I thought that she was going to get the right answer,
13:40but I got the right answer of 51.
13:43When I put my hand in the maggots, it wasn't very nice and I thought it was straw,
13:47but then I realised it was maggots because it crawled up my arm.
13:50I was really relieved when I got through because I really need to go to the loo.
13:57Brain T2!
14:00Brainy, not so brainy.
14:04Who's the clever clogs and whose brain needs a lot more training?
14:08Mount Everest, what a beauty!
14:10Now these two geezers, Sir Edmund Hillary and Tenzing Norgay,
14:14was the first to climb it.
14:15In the ultimate test of Mind Over Matter,
14:17not only did they conquer a blooming great mountain,
14:20but they also had to battle against snow, ice and temperatures
14:23that would freeze your permals off.
14:25Mount-tastic!
14:26Now these look like brave and extreme conditions of another kind,
14:29the Sahara Marathon Runners.
14:31They think nothing of legging it 4,500 miles across the Sahara Desert
14:34in temperatures well over 100 degrees.
14:37And it takes these jokers 100 days just to reach the finish line.
14:40If they ever get there, I'm tired just thinking about it.
14:44Brainy, Hillary and Tenzing.
14:45Not so brainy, Sahara Runners.
15:09I'm really confident that I'm going to do well today.
15:16And Michael?
15:17I was really relieved when I got through because I really need to go to the loo.
15:22Challenge is about to get even tougher.
15:24Only two brainy will make through to final test.
15:27Table of supreme focus.
15:30Where?
15:30Must move all with power of mind.
15:33For chance to win Bren Jitsu Black Bren Belt.
15:36It's time for...
15:38Level 3.
15:40Green Belt!
15:42Now, we all like to chat, but did you know that using words to communicate
15:47is one of the main reasons why our brains have grown so incredibly powerful?
15:51And that having a conversation exercises both halves of the brain.
15:56Now, if all that's doing your head in, allow me to explain.
16:01Imagine you're on a movie set where each crew member is focusing on their own particular job.
16:07But the director, he has to be aware of what everyone's doing.
16:12It's the same with the brain.
16:14There's the left half, which deals with the details.
16:17And there's the right half, which looks at the overall picture.
16:20This next level of training strengthens my brainy's focus
16:24by working one half of their brain under pressure.
16:28Hey, pump it up!
16:30Room of Mental Nourishment
16:35It's our brainy's second visit to the Room of Mental Nourishment
16:38where, once again, they'll train in preparation for the next challenge,
16:42which, remember, is all about using the two halves of the brain to communicate.
16:48Get into two groups.
16:50One group describes the picture in front of them.
16:53The other group draws it.
16:54So, while the girls use the right side of their brain
16:57to explain how to draw their pig,
16:59the boys must use the left side of their brain
17:01to interpret the girls' instructions.
17:03Hannah gets the ball rolling.
17:05OK, go to the right line of three
17:08and go up to D and draw a small circle
17:12and mirror it on their underside too.
17:17And before you know it,
17:18the boys' masterpiece is beginning to take shape.
17:22Draw a small circle.
17:24And it's not just Hannah's instructions the boys are finding helpful.
17:28And then go to the centre of four,
17:30go to the centre of D and draw a small circle again.
17:33But then, faster than you can say Turkey Teriyaki,
17:35the girls' communication skills desert them.
17:38Bottom to the line underneath D,
17:40then draw an arch to the right hand of three
17:45to the bottom of F.
17:48Oh, then.
17:49Can you repeat that?
17:50Time for a training tip.
17:54Start with the overall shape,
17:56then add the details.
17:58Top advice.
17:59But I'd say that's what our brainies have been doing anyway.
18:02What this lot need to remember
18:04is to keep their instructions clear and precise.
18:07There's the right side of three.
18:09Time to add the finishing touches.
18:11And then from there, draw a swirl up to the halfway of F.
18:15I think I know what it is.
18:17What?
18:17It looks like a pig.
18:19Yeah, it's a pig.
18:21Nice one.
18:22Hey, well done, brainies.
18:23I think it's because of my good drawing.
18:26I thought it was better that if, like, when we work as a team,
18:29because when they ask questions and we answer them,
18:32they kind of get more of a picture of what we're trying to say.
18:35I think we did really good in this challenge
18:37because we worked as a team.
18:39Each person had a different job.
18:40Yeah, we're like a well-functioning machine.
18:43Can helpful Hannah take her helpful communication skills into the dojo?
18:48And will Tajani function quite as well when the heat is on?
18:52It's time to find out
18:54as our six now put their communication training to the test.
19:01Hands through number two.
19:04This is test of communication skill.
19:06So six brainies must first divide into teams of two
19:09by drawing chopsticks.
19:12Quickly as possible,
19:14teams must punch six bucket containing number
19:16that go to make some.
19:18Pairs must decide who is guider,
19:21who is puncher.
19:22Puncher is blindfolded
19:24and relying on guider to help find bucket.
19:27When all six bucket punched,
19:30brainies stop clock by shouting,
19:32Brain Jitsu!
19:34Quicker they punch bucket,
19:36more time they have to pick up number
19:38and make some.
19:39When brainy happy with answer,
19:42hit the gong!
19:43First two team to work out correct answer,
19:45get green belt
19:46and advance to next level.
19:48One brainy from losing team
19:50will be eliminated.
19:52The key to success here
19:53is for the guider
19:54to use the right side of their brain
19:56to follow their teammates' progress
19:58and give them clear instructions.
20:01For their partner,
20:02it's vital
20:03they use the left side of their brain
20:06to focus on these instructions
20:07and nothing else.
20:11First to put their communication train into the test
20:13are Ritika and Tijani.
20:16Step forward.
20:17With Ritika calling the shots
20:19and Tijani under the blindfold...
20:22Punch.
20:23The two get off to a decent start.
20:25Step forward.
20:27Punch.
20:29Step right.
20:31Punch.
20:35Punch again.
20:36But then quickly run into trouble
20:38as Ritika's radar goes haywire.
20:42Punch.
20:44Step a tiny bit forward more.
20:47Punch.
20:49Go left.
20:51Punch.
20:54Brain jutsu.
20:56That's one minute 37 seconds.
20:58Not the quickest of times.
21:00And these two will have to wait
21:01to discover if it's bought them
21:02any extra time
21:03to find their numbers.
21:06Next up,
21:07our confident Jonathan
21:08and helpful Anna.
21:09Forward two.
21:12Right two.
21:14And Jonathan looks to have learnt
21:15from his training
21:16using the right side of his brain
21:18to tell Anna exactly
21:19how many steps she should take.
21:21And punch.
21:22OK.
21:23Forward one.
21:25Left one.
21:27Punch.
21:28Punch.
21:31Brain jutsu.
21:33The pair stop the clock
21:34in a knockout
21:35one minute four seconds.
21:39Go forward.
21:40Last up,
21:41our tough Tamara and Michael.
21:43Punch.
21:45Go forward.
21:46As the taller of the two,
21:47it's Michael
21:48who's opted to do the punching.
21:50Punch.
21:51Punch.
21:52He even saw
21:53one or two of his jabs
21:54are landing wide in the match.
21:57Right a bit more.
21:59Punch.
22:01Go forward.
22:04Go right.
22:06Punch.
22:08Go left.
22:10Punch.
22:12Brain jutsu.
22:13The two stop the clock
22:14in one minute twenty-seven.
22:17Pretty good,
22:18but not as good
22:18as Jonathan and Hannah,
22:19who set off first
22:20to find their numbers.
22:27Here's what our brainies
22:28are looking for.
22:29See if you can work out
22:31the sum.
22:31Remember,
22:32the first two teams
22:33to work it out
22:34will go through
22:35to the next level.
22:41Swifter than samurais
22:42on skis,
22:43Jonathan and Hannah
22:43are first
22:44to bang their gong.
22:52But Ritika
22:53and Tijani
22:54are taking forever
22:55to solve their sum.
22:58At last,
22:59they finish,
23:00but do the numbers
23:01add up?
23:07Twelve times three
23:08minus thirty
23:09equals six.
23:10That looks good,
23:11but as the last
23:12to finish,
23:13Ritika and Tijani
23:14will be hoping
23:14that one of the other
23:15teams have tripped up.
23:17No problems though
23:19for Jonathan and Hannah.
23:20But what's this?
23:22Thirty minus twelve
23:23times three
23:24equals six.
23:25I don't think so.
23:27Tamara and Michael
23:28haven't made their sum.
23:30which means
23:30it's they
23:31who'll be battling it out
23:32to avoid elimination
23:33in the
23:35Stare Off.
23:38With just one
23:39green belt up for grabs,
23:40both brainies
23:41must use all their
23:42powers of focus
23:43to fight the urge
23:44to blink.
23:45The first to falter
23:46will be eliminated.
24:00Oh, and it's Michael
24:01who's first to drop
24:02his guard,
24:03which means
24:04Tough Tamara
24:04stays in
24:05and Michael
24:06goes out.
24:12Walk of eternal regret.
24:15I think we didn't
24:17work properly
24:18because we rushed
24:19it too much
24:20and I think
24:20I mixed around
24:21two numbers
24:22and I couldn't
24:24concentrate properly.
24:27So with four levels
24:28to go,
24:28it's Tijani,
24:29Hannah,
24:30Jonathan,
24:31Tamara
24:31and Ritika
24:32who get green belts.
24:35When I found out
24:36I was in the Stare Off,
24:36I was really,
24:37really upset
24:38but now that I've won,
24:39I feel really good now.
24:41And when I came first,
24:42I felt really confident
24:43and I feel really good now
24:44and I really want to win.
24:45I think my biggest rival
24:47would have to be Hannah
24:48because she's doing
24:49just a little bit
24:50better than me.
24:55Rain Titu!
24:59Level four.
25:01Blue Vault!
25:02This fourth level
25:04requires our brain ease
25:05to master a primitive
25:06part of the brain
25:07called the amygdala,
25:09the area
25:10that responds to threat.
25:15Remember the last time
25:16you felt afraid
25:17or panicky?
25:18Maybe that time
25:19you were about to take
25:20a really crucial penalty.
25:22Well,
25:22that feeling
25:23was triggered
25:24by the old amygdala.
25:26Now,
25:26stress
25:27can make you lose focus.
25:29Fact.
25:30Which is why
25:31my brain ease
25:32must train
25:33to keep their emotions
25:34under control.
25:36Room of Mental Nourishment
25:40We're back in the room
25:41of mental nourishment
25:42and it's time
25:43for our five remaining
25:44green belt holders
25:45to overcome fear
25:46and stay focused.
25:49Form a circle.
25:51Pass the disgusting drink
25:52around the circle,
25:53only passing it on
25:55when you have said
25:55a different animal.
25:56After one minute,
25:58the brainy
25:59holding the drink
25:59has to drink it.
26:01What's the drink?
26:02That, Hannah,
26:03is a glass of
26:04cod liver oil.
26:05I'll stop.
26:06It's B.
26:08Aardvark.
26:10Dolphin.
26:12Elephant.
26:13Shark.
26:15Round one
26:15and our brainy's
26:16are doing well.
26:17Crab.
26:19Shark.
26:20Until Ritika
26:21turns repeater.
26:23Hang on.
26:24I said shark.
26:26So you can't repeat it.
26:31What other animal is there?
26:33I'm not quite good.
26:34OK, a fly.
26:36Fish.
26:37Lime.
26:39There's the gong
26:40and it's Tajani
26:41who's been left
26:42holding the cup of yuck.
26:43Drink, drink.
26:44Come on.
26:45Drink it.
26:46Come on.
26:50Yes, he is.
26:52Oh, God.
26:55Time for a training tip.
26:59Tip.
27:00Welcome the drink
27:00as your friend.
27:01It holds the answer.
27:02It holds the answer to what?
27:04I think it means, like,
27:05don't say,
27:06oh, that's just asking,
27:07I don't want to have that
27:08and then panic.
27:10Kind of welcome it
27:11and think for a second
27:12or two
27:13and then you'll get it.
27:14Spot on, Jonathan.
27:16You see,
27:16imagining the drink
27:17as something nice
27:18like a fruit smoothie
27:19will help you
27:20to stay calm.
27:22Being afraid of it
27:23will only mess up
27:23your focus.
27:24I'll go first.
27:26Zebra.
27:27Werewolf.
27:28Horse.
27:30Cow.
27:31Rat.
27:32Armed with that tip,
27:33our braineers
27:34are fairly rattling along,
27:36doing a great job
27:37of keeping their fear at bay.
27:38Um, uh...
27:40But hang on,
27:41confident Jonathan's
27:42had a complete mental block
27:44as he'll let his amygdala
27:45get the better of him.
27:51It's a costly mistake
27:52because he'll now
27:53have to down the drinker stink.
27:57Aw.
28:00That was nasty.
28:02It tasted horrible.
28:04It tasted like, um,
28:05you know, cod,
28:06but just horrible
28:08and raw
28:09and as if it
28:10just had come out
28:11of the sea.
28:11Well, I think I poised a bit
28:13because I couldn't think
28:14of any other animal.
28:15I know at school
28:16I'll always fail at
28:17animalology.
28:19So, will confident Jonathan
28:21be able to recover
28:22from his training setback?
28:23And will Tijani
28:25ever get over the taste
28:26of that cod liver oil?
28:28It's time to find out
28:30as our five
28:31are challenged
28:31to overcome their fears
28:32once again.
28:35Creepy Crawly
28:36word grab.
28:38This level
28:39will test
28:39of mind
28:40over matter
28:41for braineese
28:42and will push them
28:43to really overcome
28:44their fear.
28:45Underneath the creepy crawlies
28:46lie an assortment
28:47of letters
28:48worth different points.
28:49Braineese have
28:50just one minute
28:51to plunge hands
28:51into tank
28:52and pick out
28:53up to seven letters
28:54each.
28:55They then have
28:56a further minute
28:57to make higher
28:58scoring word
28:59they can.
29:01To do well
29:02my braineese
29:03must block out
29:04the signals
29:05coming from their
29:06amygdala
29:06and ignore
29:07the creepy crawlies.
29:09The quicker
29:09they combat
29:10their fear
29:10the more time
29:11they'll have
29:12to pick out
29:12the high scoring
29:13letters.
29:23Underneath this
29:24pile of crickets
29:25are an extra
29:25five golden letters.
29:27If her braineese
29:28manage to use
29:29one in their word
29:29they'll double
29:30their score.
29:33There's the gong.
29:34But while the others
29:35get stuck in
29:36Ritika's definitely
29:37unhappy
29:38flapping her arms
29:39about instead
29:39of searching
29:40for those letters.
29:43If she can't
29:44control her fear
29:45she'll stand
29:46no chance.
29:49Meanwhile
29:50Hannah looks
29:51as calm
29:51as a sumo
29:52in a pie
29:53eating competition
29:54totally ignoring
29:55the signals
29:56coming from
29:56my amygdala.
30:08And the minute's up.
30:09Our braineese now
30:10have a further minute
30:11to make the highest
30:12scoring word they can
30:13from their letters.
30:18Tijani looks like
30:19he's made a word
30:20already
30:20but will he regret
30:21not using
30:22all the time
30:23available?
30:24Oh dear
30:24poor old
30:25Hannah's board
30:26looks like a
30:26vowel free zone.
30:28How on earth
30:28she'll make a score
30:29from that lot
30:30I do not know.
30:32See if you can
30:32make a word
30:33from the anagram
30:34on the screen now.
30:43Where's the second
30:44gong?
30:44How have
30:45Obra and he's done?
30:48Boom.
30:49That's a terrific
30:50ten points
30:51for Tijani.
30:54No word.
30:56With only
30:56consonants
30:57to choose from
30:58there's no score
30:59for helpful Hannah.
31:02Tors.
31:03Six points
31:04for confident
31:05Jonathan.
31:07Hits.
31:08With that
31:09golden T in her
31:10word
31:10that's ten
31:11for tough Tamara.
31:13Mail.
31:13And that's
31:14six points
31:14for Ritika.
31:17And so
31:18with no points
31:19to her name
31:19it's helpful Hannah
31:20who must leave
31:21the dojo.
31:25Walk of
31:26eternal
31:27regret.
31:28I found
31:29the brain training
31:30quite useful
31:31because at first
31:31I didn't think
31:32I was going to be
31:32able to do the task
31:33but then I did
31:34complete the task
31:35even though I
31:35didn't complete
31:36the word.
31:37The thing that
31:38I've learnt
31:38from coming on
31:39Brain Jitsus
31:40is that I can
31:40overcome my fears
31:42and I'm really
31:42pleased about that.
31:45With three levels
31:46to go
31:46those who use
31:47the craniums
31:48to conquer the
31:48crickets
31:49are jewellery
31:49rewarded
31:50with their blue
31:50belts.
31:52It was really
31:53disgusting
31:53and I was just
31:54blowing like
31:56trying to
31:57move them
31:58out of the way
31:58trying to get
31:59the letters.
31:59The tip really
32:01helped me
32:01saying welcome
32:02them as your
32:03friend so I
32:04just pretended
32:04to be one of
32:05the crickets
32:06myself and
32:06see how it
32:07feels for them.
32:12Brain Jitsus
32:16Brainy
32:16not so brainy
32:20who's the
32:20Clever Clogs
32:21and whose brain
32:22needs a lot
32:22more training.
32:24Queen Elizabeth
32:24I, what a lady.
32:26She ruled for a
32:27whopping 45 years
32:28a glittering reign
32:29known as the
32:30Golden Age.
32:31Not only did the
32:32Queen use her
32:32tactical brain
32:33to send the
32:33Spanish Armada
32:34packing but she
32:35also outwitted
32:36her rivals for
32:36the throne.
32:37High five Lizzy.
32:39Now meet Ying
32:40Zheng, first
32:41emperor of China
32:42a man obsessed
32:43with living forever.
32:44He sent out
32:44explorers to find
32:45a magic potion
32:46that would help
32:47him live for
32:47hundreds of years
32:48but after taking
32:49the potion
32:50he soon became
32:51ill and died.
32:52Always read the
32:52label.
32:53Brainy Queen
32:54Elizabeth I
32:55not so brainy
32:56Ying Zheng.
33:00Brain Jitsu
33:01Attention in
33:02Brain Jitsu Dojo
33:03mounting.
33:04Now just four
33:05young hobbits
33:06remain to compete
33:07under watchful
33:08eye of Shihan.
33:10Ritika
33:10solid throughout.
33:11I just pretended
33:12to be one of
33:13the crickets
33:13myself and see
33:14how it feels
33:15for them.
33:16Tough Tamara
33:17Confident Jonathan
33:19and Tishani
33:21winner of two
33:22levels so far.
33:23I think that I've
33:24got what it takes
33:25to get the black belt.
33:26Only two brainy
33:27will make it to
33:28final showdown.
33:29Table of supreme
33:30focus.
33:31Where must move
33:32ball with power
33:33of mind.
33:34Brain Jitsu
33:35Black Brain Belt
33:36is within their grasp.
33:38Here's time for
33:39level five.
33:41Red belt.
33:43Now if you're
33:44learning how to
33:44ride a halfpipe
33:45on a BMX bike
33:47then you might be
33:48interested to know
33:49that your new hobby
33:50is doing wonders
33:51for your old
33:52grey matter.
33:54Exercising both
33:55the thinking part
33:55of the brain
33:56the cerebrum
33:57and the doing part
33:59the cerebellum.
34:01You see
34:01doing new things
34:02increases the
34:03flow of blood
34:04into your head
34:04which keeps
34:05your brain cells
34:06topped up
34:07with the oxygen
34:08they need
34:08to perform
34:09at their best.
34:10So in level five
34:12my brainy's
34:13are going to be
34:13challenged
34:14to learn new
34:15skills.
34:16Now you can
34:16speed up
34:17how quickly
34:18the brain
34:19takes in new
34:19stuff.
34:20And this is
34:21what our brainy's
34:22are going to
34:22train for now.
34:24Room of Mental
34:26Nourishment
34:28It's our brainy's
34:29fourth visit
34:30to the room
34:30of mental
34:31nourishment
34:31where they'll
34:32be training
34:32their brains
34:33in how to
34:34learn new
34:34skills.
34:36Flip the bean
34:37bag from the
34:37top of your
34:38head to the
34:38back of your
34:39neck.
34:39What?
34:40I think it
34:41means like
34:42this.
34:45Well kind
34:46of but hey
34:47it's a start
34:48and definitely
34:49an improvement
34:50on Ritika's
34:51effort.
34:54Jonathan too
34:55is struggling
34:56to get the
34:56thinking and
34:57doing parts
34:58of his brain
34:58to work in
34:59harmony.
35:03Well done
35:04once on
35:04but I think
35:05some of
35:05this lot
35:05could do
35:06with a
35:06training
35:06tip.
35:10Have
35:10confidence
35:11compliment
35:11each other.
35:12That
35:12headband
35:13looks really
35:13nice.
35:14You've
35:14been
35:15coming
35:15first
35:15in every
35:15task
35:16so far.
35:18I think your
35:19hair is really
35:19nice as well.
35:20Thanks.
35:21It might
35:21seem weird
35:22being told
35:23you're
35:23wonderful but
35:24confidence
35:25really can
35:25help the
35:26brain to
35:26master new
35:27skills.
35:27Shishani,
35:28I really
35:28think you've
35:29got a good
35:29chance of winning
35:29this because
35:30you're just
35:30really cool
35:31and you
35:31can do
35:32this.
35:32You did
35:33well as
35:33well.
35:34Can I
35:34say a tip?
35:35Yes.
35:35Yes.
35:36If you do
35:37it slow and
35:38take your
35:38time then it
35:39usually just
35:40slowly crawls
35:41down your
35:41neck and
35:42into it.
35:43Low and
35:43steady wins
35:44the race.
35:46I'd stick to
35:47complimenting one
35:48another if I were
35:48you, Ritike.
35:49I think the
35:50person with the
35:51best attitude
35:51would be Jonathan
35:52because he
35:53always gets
35:53stuck into the
35:54task or any
35:55training we do.
35:56Um, I
35:57think that
35:58TJ's actually
35:59got the best
36:00attitude because
36:01he's always
36:02getting stuck in
36:03with tasks and
36:04he's always
36:04thinking of good
36:05tips and stuff
36:05like that.
36:07So, can
36:08slow and steady
36:09Ritike move
36:10up a gear in
36:10time for the
36:11next task?
36:12And will
36:13Tajani's talent
36:14for tossing
36:14beanbags help
36:15him grab the
36:16red belt?
36:18Only time will
36:19tell as our
36:20four now put
36:20their latest
36:21brain training
36:22to the test.
36:24Quick,
36:25quick,
36:25don't drip.
36:28Brainy must
36:29use training
36:30to keep
36:30clear head
36:31and steady
36:32hand to
36:32carry water
36:33across obstacle
36:34course,
36:35spilling as
36:36little as
36:36possible.
36:37There is
36:38trampoline to
36:38glide over,
36:40seesaw to
36:40deal with,
36:41and stairs to
36:42climb.
36:44Although
36:44racing against
36:45clock, the
36:46more water
36:47brainies manage
36:47to keep in
36:48bowls, the
36:49more seconds
36:50they'll have
36:50knocked off
36:51their overall
36:51time.
36:52Brainy with
36:53slowest time
36:54will be
36:55eliminated.
36:57The tip for
36:58my brainies
36:59in this next
36:59task is to
37:01remain calm
37:02and think
37:03positive thoughts.
37:05Giving in to
37:05frustration will
37:06only lessen their
37:07focus and slow
37:08them up.
37:09As the
37:10she-hand fills
37:11the bowls,
37:12so the
37:12dojo starts to
37:13fill with
37:13tension.
37:16Which of our
37:17four brainies
37:18will best use
37:19their training
37:19to master
37:20this tricky
37:21new skill?
37:23Tijani is
37:24first to
37:25go.
37:27Oh, but
37:28that's a lot
37:28of water
37:29gone already.
37:31He might be
37:32fast, but
37:32he's none
37:32too steady.
37:46A little
37:46more water
37:47lost at the
37:47end there,
37:48and there's
37:49the gong.
37:50So, how's Tijani
37:52done?
37:53Brainy's get a
37:54point for every
37:54unit of water
37:55saved, and
37:56further bonus
37:57points for
37:58speed, from
37:59three points for
37:59the quickest to
38:00none for the
38:01slowest.
38:02With 16
38:03units of water
38:04left, that's
38:0416 points for
38:05Tijani, but
38:06we'll have to
38:07wait to discover
38:08if he's picked
38:08up any bonus
38:09points for
38:09speed.
38:11Next up is
38:12confident
38:12Jonathan.
38:21With the
38:21thinking part
38:22and the
38:22doing part of
38:23his brain
38:24working in
38:24perfect harmony,
38:25Jonathan's
38:26literally racing
38:27round the
38:27course.
38:30Safely over
38:31the seesaw.
38:35And, but for
38:36that lost water
38:36at the end
38:37there, that
38:37looks like a
38:38terrific round.
38:42That's 18
38:43units of
38:44saved water,
38:45which means
38:4518 points,
38:46plus a
38:47possible bonus
38:48for speed.
38:49It's now
38:50Tough
38:50Tamara's
38:51turn.
39:00nice and
39:01steady so far.
39:05Tamara appears
39:07to have
39:07remembered her
39:08training and she
39:09looks supremely
39:10confident, but
39:12again with the
39:12end in sight, the
39:14steps strike.
39:20even so, that's an
39:21impressive 20
39:22points for Tough
39:23Tamara, and a
39:24good chance of a
39:25bonus.
39:27Last to go is
39:28Ritika.
39:28Will she remember
39:29her training and
39:30stay positive?
39:37Straight off,
39:38though, that's a lot
39:39of water lost.
39:42What's more, Ritika
39:43doesn't look that
39:44fast.
39:46Chop, chop, Ritika.
39:56Oh dear, some more
39:57water gone on the
39:58seesaw.
40:02But there's the
40:03finish line.
40:05With 17 points for
40:07those 17 units of
40:08water, Ritika will
40:09be hoping she's
40:10been fast enough to
40:11earn some bonus
40:12points.
40:13Let's find out.
40:16Finishing in just
40:1738 seconds, Tijani
40:19was our second
40:20fastest brainy,
40:21bringing him two
40:22bonus points, added
40:23to his 16 points for
40:25those 16 units of
40:26safe water, and
40:27that's a final
40:27total of 18.
40:29Finishing in 37
40:31seconds, Jonathan
40:32was the quickest
40:33brainy.
40:33earning him the
40:34maximum three
40:35bonus points, and
40:36a grand total of
40:3721.
40:39Tough Tamara
40:40picked up one
40:41bonus point for
40:42her time, giving
40:43her a total of
40:4421 points as
40:45well.
40:46While Ritika, as
40:48the slowest brainy,
40:49picked up no
40:50bonus points, and
40:51so stays on 17.
40:54All of which
40:55means that it's
40:56Ritika who's
40:57eliminated, and
40:58must now leave
40:59the dojo.
41:01Walk of
41:03eternal
41:04regret.
41:05I was going
41:06by the
41:07saying of
41:08slow and
41:08steady wins the
41:09race, and that
41:10really let me
41:11down, so I don't
41:12think I'm going to
41:12listen to anyone
41:13ever again.
41:14I think that
41:15Jonathan's going to
41:16win because he has
41:17a lot of confidence,
41:18and I think that
41:19confidence is the
41:20strongest point you
41:21need.
41:23With two levels to
41:24go, that leaves
41:25just Tijani, Jonathan
41:27and Tamara to
41:28stand proud in
41:29red.
41:30I think me and
41:31Jonathan are going
41:31to go to the
41:32final, but I think
41:33that it's going to
41:33be really, really
41:34tough.
41:35I think we're
41:35pretty even at the
41:36moment, but my
41:37main competition is
41:38going to be TJ
41:39because he's done
41:40really well so far.
41:51It's this level
41:52which will decide
41:53which two of my
41:55remaining braineys
41:56will go on to
41:57battle it out
41:58for the black belt.
42:01Now, imagine
42:03you're a gymnast.
42:04Not only do you
42:05have your routine
42:06to remember, but
42:07you've got to keep
42:08in time to the
42:09music, and you've
42:11got a load of
42:11people watching
42:12you.
42:13It's remembering
42:13stuff like this
42:14under pressure
42:15that Level 6
42:16is all about.
42:17It centres around
42:19three areas of
42:20the brain.
42:21The seeing part,
42:22the occipital lobes,
42:24the memory part,
42:25the temporal lobes,
42:27and the movement
42:28part, the
42:29cerebellum.
42:30To the max!
42:32Room of Mental
42:34Nourishment
42:36Our three surviving
42:37braineys are back
42:38in the room of
42:39mental nourishment.
42:40This time for
42:41a dose of
42:41memory training.
42:44Brain training.
42:46Memorise the
42:46sequence of colours.
42:48Go, go, go.
42:49You memorise that bit.
42:51I'll memorise this bit.
42:52You memorise that bit.
42:53I think the idea,
42:54Jonathan, is to
42:54remember the whole
42:55sequence.
42:56Making life easier
42:57kind of defeats
42:58the object.
42:59So, who's going
43:00to go first?
43:01TJ, you're going
43:01first.
43:02Come on.
43:03OK.
43:04Grey, green,
43:04silver, red.
43:06Green, yellow,
43:06purple, blue.
43:08Purple, orange,
43:09rain.
43:09Oh, I've missed
43:10the green one.
43:12That's all fair.
43:13She's got three
43:14and I've got five
43:14and he's got three.
43:16Suffering, Sushi.
43:17I've seen more
43:18focus looking
43:18through a pair
43:19of milk bottles.
43:20Time for a
43:21training tip.
43:22Hey, I've got a tip.
43:23Create a song
43:24linked to the colours
43:25together.
43:26Let's do opera.
43:28Opera?
43:30Grey, green,
43:33silver, red.
43:34So it might not
43:35be more tart,
43:36but if it helps
43:37to remember those
43:38colours, who cares?
43:39Green, yellow,
43:40purple, blue,
43:41green, purple, red.
43:42I've got a green,
43:42I've got a silver,
43:43I've got a green.
43:44Memory training
43:45like this isn't just
43:46great for the brain,
43:47it's also very useful.
43:49Next time you're out
43:49shopping, try turning
43:51your shopping list
43:51into a song and see
43:53if you can remember
43:54everything on it.
43:56Our three brainies
43:57have another go.
43:58Pull your band
43:59over your eyes.
44:00OK.
44:01Ouch.
44:03I've got a grey,
44:03I've got a green,
44:04I've got a silver,
44:05I've got a red,
44:06green, yellow,
44:07purple, blue,
44:08I've got a green,
44:09purple, orange, red.
44:10And that's the way
44:11of the banana line.
44:12That's wicked.
44:14Thanks.
44:14Well done,
44:15brainies.
44:15Top banana.
44:18I think tomorrow's
44:19going to be pretty good
44:20actually because,
44:21well, you're really
44:22good at memory
44:22and you managed to
44:23get that song perfect
44:24first time.
44:26But I don't think
44:27I've got much of a
44:27chance of winning
44:28this now.
44:29Thanks, but I think
44:30you're going to be
44:31the best.
44:31Or TJ, you both
44:33did really well.
44:34OK, boy final.
44:36Will Tamara
44:37handle the pressure
44:38and grab her third
44:40win in a row?
44:41Or will the chaps
44:42turn it into an
44:43all-boy final?
44:46Only time will tell
44:47as our final three
44:49put their memory
44:49train into the test
44:50for one of two
44:51brown brain belts
44:52and a place on the
44:53table of supreme
44:54forkers.
44:57super memory
44:59dizzy dance.
45:01A brainie is a
45:03spin around on
45:03dizzy wheel
45:04total of ten
45:05time while using
45:06all power of focus
45:08to memorize five
45:09images in front of
45:10them.
45:11Then must raise
45:12against clock to
45:13cross balancing beam
45:14and collect exact
45:16opposite of those
45:18image from ten
45:19hanging above them.
45:20If brainie remember
45:22seeing sun, then
45:23must pick moon.
45:25When happy they have
45:26arranged images in
45:27correct order, must
45:29hit gong to make
45:30clock stop.
45:33My tip for the
45:34brainies is to keep
45:35focused on the main
45:36objective and use
45:38their training to link
45:39the five images
45:40together.
45:42So as our final three
45:43brave the dizzy
45:44wheel, will their
45:45memory training help
45:46them to remember the
45:47images and ignore the
45:49effects of being spun
45:50round like clams on a
45:51carousel.
45:52Time to spin.
45:58Tajani is first to
45:59brave the wheel,
46:00calling out the names
46:01of all the images to
46:02help him remember.
46:04Peace.
46:05Don't forget our
46:06brainies must fight
46:07their dizziness and
46:08pick out the opposite
46:09images of the ones
46:10they saw on the wheel.
46:12So here are the
46:13pictures that Tajani
46:14saw and here are the
46:15opposites.
46:17For everyone to get
46:19wrong our brainies will
46:20pick up a five second
46:21penalty.
46:22Oh dear, after a
46:24confident start Tajani's
46:25had a complete mental
46:26block.
46:28Come on Tajani, focus.
46:31That peppermill looks to
46:32be in the wrong
46:33position.
46:34And with that balloon in
46:35his line-up Tajani earned
46:37himself a couple of
46:38penalties for sure.
46:42Next to head off is
46:43confident Jonathan, as
46:44he remembered his
46:45training and found a
46:46way to link those
46:47images together.
46:51But Jonathan's just
46:52realised that he's
46:53only got four images.
46:58Can he get those
46:59temporal lobes working?
47:05But in his rush to
47:06find that last image,
47:07Jonathan has made a
47:08crucial mistake.
47:10Will it cost him dear?
47:20Last to go is Tough
47:22Tamara.
47:23Very impressive during
47:24training.
47:27Here are those images
47:28again.
47:35So far, so good.
47:37And that's five.
47:42But can she get them
47:43in the right order?
47:50You bet.
47:52And you've got every
47:53right to look pleased.
47:56So, whose memory has
47:58come out on top?
48:02Tajani finished in
48:03one minute 44 seconds,
48:04but picked up two
48:05penalties, giving him a
48:07total of one minute 54.
48:10Confident Jonathan picked
48:12up only one penalty,
48:13to give him a time of
48:14one minute 21.
48:17While Tough Tamara,
48:19with no penalties,
48:20banged her gong in a
48:21rapid one minute 12.
48:24And so it's Jonathan
48:25and Tamara who stay in,
48:27and Tajani who goes out.
48:36Walk of Eternal Regret.
48:39Walk of Eternal Regret.
48:40I think I'll try to
48:42concentrate harder instead of
48:44getting distracted by the
48:45spinning.
48:45I'm feeling really bad because
48:47I thought, wow, I might be
48:48able to get to the brown
48:49belts.
48:53So with just one level to go,
48:55that leaves confident Jonathan
48:56and tough Tamara to don their
48:58brown brain belts and prepare
49:00for the final showdown.
49:01I feel really excellent that
49:03I've made it this far, but I'm
49:05really scared that I might go
49:06out on the final round.
49:08I'm really confident about
49:10this round, but, and I'm doing
49:12it for the girls.
49:12I'm going to easily beat Tamara.
49:18Brain Jitsu.
49:22Eight young hopeful arrived at
49:24Brain Training Dojo to fight
49:26for Brain Jitsu Black Brain Belt.
49:28As training got tougher, so
49:30brainies fell by wayside.
49:32Some lack concentration.
49:35Others let pressure get to
49:36them.
49:37One by one, all have been
49:39eliminated.
49:40Now just two remain.
49:41Brain, tough Tamara, winner
49:43of last three level and on a
49:45roll.
49:45I'm really confident about
49:47this round, but, and I'm
49:49doing it for the girls.
49:50And confident Jonathan,
49:52never out of top three.
49:53Yeah, I did all the training
49:55and, well, it was really
49:56easy.
49:57But who will use Brain
49:58Training to max to win
50:00this last challenge?
50:03Level seven, Black Vault.
50:06So, this is it.
50:08Between my two remaining
50:10brainies and the black belt
50:12stands Brain Jitsu's ultimate
50:14challenge, a mental duel that
50:17is head to head in every sense.
50:19The battlefield, a table, but
50:22not just any table.
50:24For this, my friends, is the
50:25table of supreme focus, where
50:28our two brainies will attempt to
50:30move a ball across the table
50:32using only the power of their
50:34mind.
50:35By getting this far, they've
50:37already demonstrated mental
50:38control under many different
50:40types of pressure.
50:42But now, they must learn to
50:43focus their minds by entering a
50:45state of total calm.
50:48To prepare them, my two finalists
50:50will need to get into the zone.
50:53Room of Mental Nourishment.
51:00In this, their final visit to the room
51:02of Mental Nourishment, our last
51:03two brainies are about to train in
51:06how to stay focused, no matter
51:07what's happening around them.
51:10Brain Training.
51:12Mentally prepare yourself for the
51:14final task.
51:15Don't let the sound put you off.
51:19So, our two finalists must block out
51:21the noises and concentrate only on
51:24finding their focus.
51:30Confident Jonathan starts off nice
51:31and calm, but then comes down
51:33with a fit of giggles.
51:37What's so funny?
51:42Well, that's one way of blocking
51:44out the sound.
51:45Perhaps a training tip will help.
51:48Visualise and focus on somewhere.
51:50You feel happy and calm.
51:55Take two.
51:56And once again, Tough Tomorrow's
51:58resorted to radical measures.
52:02But confident Jonathan looks to have
52:04taken that tip on board to finally
52:06discover his focus.
52:12I really want that black belt because
52:15everyone will know I'm the best
52:16and I did the best out of the whole
52:18of my school.
52:18Well, Tough.
52:20Because I'm going to win it for the girls
52:21and for my school.
52:23Can't stand the heat?
52:25What heat?
52:26Can confident Jonathan keep his focus
52:28for the next and final task?
52:31Or will it be tough Tamara
52:32who grabs her chance of glory?
52:34Let's find out.
52:35Table of Supreme Focus.
52:41Rules are simple.
52:43Each brainy must push ball to the opponent's
52:45end of table using only power of mind.
52:49Sensors in brainy's headbands measure brainwaves.
52:52This is converted into electrical signal
52:55which moves ball.
52:57More focused mind, stronger signal,
52:59and faster ball will travel.
53:02See how brainy's are doing on this readout.
53:05Two lines represent each player's brainwaves.
53:08Lower the line, more concentrated their mind.
53:20To make sure this is the test of all tests,
53:22our brainy's must win the best of three rounds.
53:28So, this is the big one.
53:29Our two finalists must use all their brain training
53:32to enter their zone of absolute focus.
53:34This is the reason they came to the dojo.
53:38This is the moment they've been training for.
53:47It's Tamara who's first to get the ball moving.
53:50Her lower black line is almost touching
53:52the bottom of the screen.
53:54Unable to match her concentration levels,
53:57a shocked-looking Jonathan is powerless
53:59to stop the ball from reaching his end.
54:02One-nil to Tamara,
54:04and Jonathan will have to call on all his training
54:06if he's to turn this around.
54:10Round two.
54:15This time it's Jonathan who's off to the better start.
54:18His green line now the lower of the two.
54:25And even though Tamara's doing her best to resist,
54:28confident Jonathan keeps the pressure on.
54:33That's one-all.
54:37It's all down to this.
54:39The final round.
54:40Who will cope best with the brain strain?
54:46We're off.
54:47And again it's Jonathan who's got the edge.
54:53Little by little he piles on the pressure.
55:00Until finally that ball reaches his opponent's end.
55:05It's all over.
55:07After an epic head-to-head battle,
55:09it's confident Jonathan who's training has paid off.
55:12Digging deep to find new depths of focus,
55:15he truly has proved himself to be the master of the mind
55:18and worthy winner of the brain jitsu black belt.
55:22It makes me feel really privileged that I've got all the way through
55:25and won the black belt and beaten seven people to the final and won it,
55:30which is really amazing because I didn't think I'd get this far.
55:33But glory for one brings disappointment for another.
55:37And although she fought bravely,
55:39tough Tamara must now leave the dojo.
55:43Walk of eternal regret.
55:46I feel a little bit upset because I was going to do it for my school and the girls.
55:50And it's a little bit upset because I've gone this far.
56:02What a brilliant display of mental focus from confident Jonathan.
56:06One nil down on the table of supreme focus,
56:09this gritty young brainy simply refused to give up.
56:15Drawing on all his training,
56:16he held his nerve to snatch that black brain belt from Tamara's grasp.
56:22Because I lost the first one,
56:24after the first one I just felt terrible
56:26because I thought, oh, I'm going to lose this now.
56:28So I won the next two just with ease.
