00:08Celebrating people who you want to remember through words and poetry and moments where
00:15you stop and go, there's a punctuation somewhere, it's brilliant to bring more moments where
00:26we can stop and reflect and remember and celebrate. Well I chose this poem in a way to honour
00:35three independent greengrocers that have had an extraordinary impact on my life when I
00:42thought about it. Mr Roberts, Mr Naidoo and Tony's Continental. Things like oranges displayed
00:51in the way that they do would lift my spirit so completely. I find that the minutiae of
01:04life is the most helpful in stabilising me when I feel in any way bonkers. And I think
01:14a lot of the time connections can feel very technical at the moment so what's lovely is
01:21to have connections with words and people that are actually with you. This is a poem called
01:28The Orange by Wendy Cope.
01:31At lunch time I bought a huge orange. The size of it made us all laugh. I peeled it
01:38and shared it with Robert and Dave. They got quarters and I had a half. And that orange,
01:45it made me so happy. As ordinary things often do, just lately. The shopping, the walk in the
01:53park. This is peace and contentment. It's new. The rest of the day was quite easy. I did all
02:03the jobs on my list and enjoyed them and had some time over. I love you. I'm glad I exist.
02:13Vulnerability is a positive thing and asking for help or stopping is allowed and important.
02:22How amazing that something so natural and comparatively small can do that and transport me back or put
02:31me in touch with what it is to be human. I can plant it. I can eat it. It comes
02:38in shareable
02:39bits. It's actually incredible. All the things that haven't been messed with, you kind of think,
02:46I'm the only person who's ever seen inside this orange.
02:52That's brilliant. That's brilliant. I really love that.
02:55What a wonderful idea of this. What a wonderful idea of, what a wonderful concept.
03:00What a wonderful idea about me. What a wonderful idea of me. I've been
03:02thinking about a wonderful outfit. I don't know how I'm trying to do it but I don't know how
03:02is. I don't know how it is. I think so. I think that's what I'm trying to do. I
