00:03You know, if there's one thing that we can guarantee in our lives, that I'm going to die.
00:13And it's the one thing that we don't curate. It happens to us. It's always a shock.
00:20I've hardly been to any funerals in my life. I grew up with no family. I have nobody to die.
00:25I'm a watcher of the familial anchor points, and death is one of them.
00:32We deserve a celebration to stop these kind of dour ceremonies from compounding throughout our lives.
00:44I like this idea of being able to give ourselves the gift of a celebration.
00:52OK, so Sarah Weir was the head of the Olympic Development Association, was dying of cancer.
00:59And she got my book called Let the Light Pour In, and the book fell open on this poem.
01:06And she said to her partner, when I pass away, when I die, I want this poem to be read
01:15to me as if it's from you.
01:20So her partner asked me to read it at her celebration.
01:28Remember you were loved. I felt your spirit grow.
01:35I held on for the love of you.
01:40And then, for love, let go.
