00:00We're still a work in progress, as I said, you know, we thought we might have some news last night,
00:06maybe today, I wouldn't read too much into it, takes a little while to hear back.
00:42So we have what I think is a pretty solid thing on the table in terms of their ability to
00:53open up the straights, get the straights open, enter into a very real, significant, time-limited negotiation on the nuclear
00:59side.
01:00And hopefully we can pull it off.
01:02It has a lot of support in the Gulf.
01:03It has a lot of support globally.
01:05Every country that we've walked through it understands it's not just very reasonable, but it's the right thing for the
01:10world to get done.
01:11As the president said, he's not in a hurry.
01:12He's not going to make a bad deal.
01:14I mean, the president's not going to make a bad agreement.
01:17So let's see what happens.
01:18We're going to give diplomacy every chance to succeed before we explore the alternatives.
01:23What's the holdup right now?
01:24Is there something that needs to be done?
01:25It's just a response.
01:26I mean, when you get down to some of these things, you've got to hear back.
01:28And it takes the Iranian system a little while longer to get back.
01:33So, like, look, the president's not going to make a bad deal.
01:36He's just not.
01:37This issue, no one has done more.
01:40And no one has been more serious about the threat of nuclear Iran than President Trump has been.
01:44And so I'm very confident, and we should all be very confident, that we're either going to have a good
01:48agreement or we're going to have to deal with it another way.
01:50We'd prefer to have a good agreement.
01:52What about Lebanon?
01:53Is Lebanon going to be part of a deal?
01:55Well, Lebanon we're working on separately.
01:57With Lebanon, we are engaged now.
01:59We have a 45-day ceasefire.
02:00We've had weekly meetings now and ongoing daily engagements between the government of Lebanon and Israel.
02:06The problem is not Lebanon and Israel.
02:08The problem is Hezbollah.
02:09Just last night, Hezbollah put out a statement calling for the overthrow of the Lebanese government.
02:14And it just reminds you of who you are dealing with here, by the way, an Iranian proxy, 100%
02:18Iranian proxy.
02:19And as long as Lebanon exists with armaments, as long as an armed Hezbollah exists, it's going to be hard
02:27to achieve peace in Lebanon because they're victimizing the people of Lebanon.
02:32They're not just attacking Israel, they're victimizing the people of Lebanon who are paying a tremendous price because of Hezbollah.
02:39And so, that's...
02:41But we're working that track with the Lebanese government and the Israeli government.
02:45And we've made some good progress there and extended ceasefire path forward.
02:48We're going to continue to work on that.
02:50We're going to continue to work on that.
