00:37to hull and for certain middlesbrough fans watch out for those tigers in it right starting things
00:42off today and there's a bit of an update on what is going on with cm punk now cm punk
00:48appeared on the
00:49raw after wrestlemania 42 of course he was fresh off losing the world heavyweight title to roman
00:54reigns at wrestlemania and punk promised that he was not going anywhere that was the tease of
00:59something with cody rhodes be that uh in the near future or maybe something a little bit further down
01:04the line but since then cm punk has not been seen actually i that's that's a lie in fact he
01:11was seen
01:11but he was seen at the ronda rousey versus gina carano mma fight for uh for mvp last weekend now
01:17of
01:17course that has led to plenty of fan chatter and speculation as to what is going on with cm punk
01:21i mean i've
01:23even seen some crazy theories out there from some people suggesting that he'd been suspended for
01:27that that fan altercation during wrestlemania weekend you know when when he knocked the phone
01:31out of someone's hand as they filmed aj lee and bailey even though bailey had told the dude like
01:36stop several times uh yeah so some people are going to make up crazy stuff for that and uh two
01:41and two
01:41equals 457 or potato in some cases uh per fight for select though the reason for cm punk's absence is
01:48what is described as a schedule change now added to that false finish has been told that punk is
01:53awaiting creative for his return to tv basically his schedule and creative plans were changed after
01:58wwe decided to move gunther over to smackdown and that came after moving jacob fatu over to raw to
02:03feud with roman reigns so it kind of left i guess in some ways kind of left cm punk as
02:09a bit of an
02:09the odd man out i mean this also this is purely speculation for me of course but this also might
02:14be
02:14tied to those reports that randy orton is dealing with a bit of a back issue that that caused certain
02:18creative changes i mean namely meaning that the whole cody and orton program that's been
02:22should say put on hold for now uh which is the reason why gunther's been moved over to smackdown
02:26to feud with cody i mean maybe we were meant to get some cm punk and gunther stuff after wrestlemania
02:32i don't know although to be fair i mean originally on that that roar after wrestlemania very much like
02:36we were going in a la knight and gunther direction uh following the following mania but either way cm punk
02:42is on a bit of a break due to a schedule change um and to be fair i mean i
02:46said this ahead of time i
02:47kind of expected punk to naturally take a break after wrestlemania 42 um a bit like my obligatory
02:52brett mentioned but a bit like brett hart after wrestlemania 12 where you know you go away for a
02:56few months i know at that point there was some uncertainty over over brett's future uh but they've
03:00just kind of go away for a few months come back refreshed the crowd's gonna be more refreshed for you
03:04as well and i thought maybe cm punk might do something like that where it's just like go away for

03:07couple of months we'll bring you back and do something big with you um but then well then cm punk

03:12raw where it's like i'm going nowhere i i'm going nowhere uh yeah i'm not flowing leaving i guess
03:17essentially um and when you look at the i mean the why the wre product right now i mean they

03:23kind of do with cm punk i mean any wrestling company could kind of do with cm punk in their
03:26corner
03:27um but that's uh that's a whole conversation for a whole other day now one person who is not been
03:32absent from ww tv right now in fact they got themselves a very very very well-earned uh main
03:38roster call up on the raw after wrestlemania 42 that is all ego ethan page and while he may have
03:43come up short on saturday night's main event last night which is where he took on penta for the
03:47intercontinental championship it sounds like all ego is making quite the impression behind the scenes
03:52already i mean this comes from from wrestle votes here uh where page has been well received in the
03:58company since he arrived in 2024 uh described as earned i've got a quote here extremely respectful and
04:04detail oriented uh which is something that's been shown in his work across nxt across triple a where
04:10he's what half of the triple a mixed tag champs and also now of course on the main roster uh
04:14i mean
04:15ethan page has been killing it man uh this also says here this report from from wrestle votes that
04:19he's positioned very well moving forward uh and again even more so considering how quickly he's been
04:23on the rise in a relatively short amount of time i mean this is somebody who won the nxt title

04:29what two three weeks after arriving maybe it was a month i don't know but it was very quickly after
04:34he was on the nxt he was the nxt uh champ and he's been the nxt north american champ since
04:38then as
04:39well um the greatest north americans who ever lived of course apart from bret hart who's watching me from
04:43right over there hey hitman um yeah and now of course you look at it now where ethan page has
04:48already
04:48immediately found himself in the intercontinental title mix on raw and i think he's very much
04:54getting that belt before the summer is out in fact like part of me part of me did think he
04:57might get
04:58it last night but yeah ethan page make no bones about it he will be intercontinental champion by
05:02the time the summer is over and the future is incredibly bright man uh this is it's just also
05:07like i said it's just very well deserved very well earned um this is just somebody a dude who's
05:12busted his backside for years man i mean i first saw him back to the the monster mafia days which
05:17would then go on to become the north just a constantly entertaining charismatic star i mean
05:23ethan page may not have always been a star but he's always felt like a star always carried himself
05:27like one and here he is getting a shot at the big time the big opportunity and he feels absolutely

05:31ready to grab the opportunity with both hands which i'm sure he will and just yeah again the future is
05:37incredibly bright for ethan page if you ask me man you love to see good things happening to good
05:42people and by all accounts ethan page is a good good dude so uh yeah much luck to him there
05:47and now speaking of good dudes which is quite the um that's quite the transition there but from
05:52one good dude to another and i'm gonna go with the the next uh the next general manager of triple
05:57a yes that has been named now i have to hype it up for weeks it was all a case
06:01of who will be the
06:02new gm some people thought maybe jbl some people thought maybe dorian roldan uh as a possibility
06:07but instead as announced last night by triple a president maricela pena it's wwe hall of famer
06:14all-round legend icon one of the greatest to ever do it one of the most revolutionary wrestlers in
06:19the history of the business yes it is ray mysterio who is the new triple a general manager which
06:25obviously that went down very well with a certain triple a mega campeon which would be dominic mysterio
06:30as well as dorian roldan as well was not exactly happy with this development
06:35and also as you're saying away from that uh last night's triple a show had yet more awesomeness
06:41between the the americanos too those men el grande americano and el grande americano too just
06:46beating the shits at one another again all ahead of their big mask versus mask match next weekend i
06:51mean if you ask me right now uh genuinely if you ask me what is my my favorite thing in
06:56in the
06:56wrestling business right now i probably would say this americanos for you when it's in triple a i mean
07:01what is on wv programming it's it's a bit of a different beast it doesn't hit the same but yeah
07:05but in mexico man el grande americano 2 is over like rover brother um we're talking real warrior pops
07:11that sort of thing it's just it's crazy the reaction this guy gets um and also as well the original

07:16grande americano is just great at what he does completely detested a proper proper scumbag now
07:23switching gears a little bit for our final story of the day and switching gears to aew ahead of double
07:28or nothing later today now this comes from fight for select who report that a certain mr mayhem is
07:35in town for today's pay-per-view yes wardlow is in new york ahead of double or nothing where he's
07:40expected to be at the event now it is specified here that it's not known whether he'll be making
07:45an appearance on screen or not but we at least know that the big fellow will be at the event
07:49in
07:49some capacity and for wardlow it's it's a little bit crazy to realize he's not actually wrestled for
07:54over two years by this point um dating back i looked into it before recording this video
07:58and it's like you date back to to march 2024 which where he lost to uh then aw world champion

08:05joe now of course wardlow did return at forbidden door last august but that return unfortunately only
08:11lasted for a few weeks and then he'd suffer a torn pec i think it was torn left pec which

08:16subsequently put him on the shelf i mean since then though of course wardlow has filmed the first season
08:20of the american gladiators reboot which is uh that's now premiered on amazon prime and i do
08:25need to get around to watching that at some point i love me a bit of gladiators man uh the
08:28uk reboot
08:29that started a couple of years ago oh a lot of fun with that so yes i will be watching
08:32the american
08:33gladiators reboot as well and also there's a bunch of wrestlers in there so great uh now fightful
08:37sources said that wardlow has been at a number of aew events lately with aw revolution i think that was
08:43specifically mentioned as well uh basically just been backstage at a few events he gears up to return to
08:48the ring now whether he appears at double or nothing tonight again that remains to be seen
08:51but yeah the wardlow has been missed man um now not in terms of like star power necessarily because
08:57at the moment aw have a bunch of top stars whether that's in the men's division whether it's the
09:01women's division whether it's the tag teams i mean you look at the tag team division the men's tag team
09:05division and you look at it now and you're thinking huh the motocity machine guns will be coming in
09:09here soon and then also maybe the new day uh so yeah everywhere is stacked so wardlow isn't necessarily
09:14missed in terms of that star power but i'm just like i i miss wardlow because i like to see
09:19big meaty fellas just power bombing fools and cracking skulls now yes there are certain other
09:24talents that do similar things but yeah wardlow's just got there's a there's some special art wardlow
09:28man uh he has been missed so hopefully he's back soon but either way he will be at double or
09:32nothing
09:32today just whether we see him on screen or not that is the big question here
