00:04Talked a little bit just about those players that decided to come back and
00:07or go the NFL draft.
00:09Two of those players we're going to talk to today and Poncho and Mateo.
00:13Poncho has been just a natural leader since he, I feel like, got on campus.
00:16But Mateo is someone who's kind of had to grow throughout his time here.
00:20How have you kind of seen him step up this spring?
00:22Yeah, I think people lead in different ways.
00:25And, you know, Poncho has definitely always been a vocal leader.
00:27I think that happens a lot at center, right?
00:28You think about some guys that have played that position for us here.
00:31You become a communicator really early in your career.
00:34And, you know, Mateo, Tatum, some of those guys that have come back,
00:38they've proven, you know, over time that they have a vested interest
00:40and their voice has grown since they've been on campus.
00:42They've grown in their leadership.
00:43But, you know, for Mateo, I'm just really proud of the way he's worked this offseason.
00:46He had some really specific goals of things that he wanted to attack
00:49and is showing up, you know, on the field for him right now.
00:54But break after the first two practices,
00:56what's kind of like the priorities that you want to see translate
00:59getting back into football for this week?
01:02Oh, I mean, us playing good football, right?
01:04I mean, today the pads came out.
01:06So you're going to figure out who's going to bite, right?
01:07And who's going to run away, right?
01:09And that's what we want to find.
01:10Who are the guys that are going to bite?
01:11You can't hide from it when the pads are on.
01:12It's a little different when we're wearing spiders.
01:13And we've got a bunch of guys that are out there willing to bite.
01:22We've got a bunch of guys that are out there willing to bite.
