00:00But, J.Y., we begin with game number three, a 123-108 victory for the Oklahoma City Thunder.
00:09Despite that 15-0 deficit, they allowed the Spurs to establish on them.
00:14What was your number one takeaway from game three?
00:19I feel like this is George Foreman, Muhammad Ali.
00:24It's like they rope-a-doped them.
00:26They literally let them get off to a 15-0 run.
00:30They weathered the storm.
00:32And then literally by the middle of the second quarter, the lead was gone.
00:37And the second quarter, the lead was just about gone.
00:40So, to me, it speaks to a heart of a champion.
00:44Like, becoming a champion is really, really hard.
00:49And you got to go through ebbs and flows.
00:51And K-Dub, this is the first time that this Spurs team has, let's be honest, hasn't even been in
00:57this situation.
00:57They're even in the playoffs.
00:59So, you think that 15-0 run, Oklahoma City just took their time and it came back.
01:06But I really take it to what I think has become interesting.
01:11And you and I talked about this before the show as we were on the phone.
01:15And I want to make sure I preface this by, you know, not labeling them in the same way.
01:22I remember when Jordan was on the come-up.
01:25And he was the best player in the world.
01:28And Detroit, as defending champions, were like, like, I mean, we're pretty good, too.
01:35Like, don't forget about us.
01:37And that first year, they beat the snot out of Jordan.
01:41I mean, they just knocked him out.
01:45What does Jordan do?
01:46Get in the weight room.
01:47Get stronger.
01:47Get better.
01:48Next year, what do they do?
01:50Now they go after Pippen.
01:51I feel like they've looked at the Spurs.
01:55They've made it more aggressive and physical.
01:58But now you've got guys that are handling it in different ways.
02:04Wemby is a little bit better of not engaging.
02:08But you see him now float to the perimeter a little bit too much.
02:12And we'll get to what we think.
02:13You know, who and I talked about this also before.
02:15What we think would help a team like San Antonio down in the future.
02:20But then it was Stephon Castle, who was, Kevin, can we be respectful and just say awful last night?
02:29I mean, what if it from the floor?
02:31I know he knocked down free throws.
02:32I know he had assists.
02:34Four turnovers.
02:35You know, minus 17.
02:36He literally, whether it was Caruso running into him, stuff on layups, finishing, you could see that he got frustrated.
02:47And part of being a champion is not just your play physically, but your play mentally and your maturity.
02:57And I felt like, for especially Stephon Castle, we saw immaturity in regards to worrying about referees and calls and
03:04bumps and fouls, rather than just playing the game.
03:08I felt like they got into his head a little bit last night.
