00:01Police say they were called to a home in Guymea Bay, a suburb just south of here,
00:07and arrived at 25 minutes past midnight this morning to speak with a 42-year-old man
00:13about whom there was a concern for welfare.
00:16Now, they say when they arrived, the man got in a white car and drove away.
00:20They say they were then alerted about nine minutes later to a crash here on Rocky Point Road in San
00:26Susi involving two cars.
00:28They say that they believe that white car that the 42-year-old man was driving lost control on the
00:34northbound side of the road
00:36and became airborne, travelling over the concrete barrier behind me
00:40and colliding with a blue sedan that happened to be travelling in the opposite direction at the time.
00:46The crash and the impact of it was so severe that many of the people in the surrounding streets around
00:52here were awoken by it
00:53and rushed to provide whatever help they could.
00:56But unfortunately for the three people involved in the crash, it was too late for any of them to be
01:01saved.
01:02Police spoke about the incident this morning, describing it as a horrifying crash.
01:08Circumstances of what have occurred last night, from what I understand, are horrific and tragic.
01:14We really feel for the families of all three persons who were involved in this incident and their loved ones.
01:20And you're quite right, I don't think there were many cars on the road at that time and extremely unlucky
01:24for the people involved.
01:29As for the two people who were in that blue sedan, police say they've been working to formally identify those
01:36two people,
01:37but they believe they're two men aged in their 20s.
01:40They say they believe it's likely that that car was a rideshare car,
01:44but they're working to formally identify those two people and make contact with their families,
01:48who today, no doubt, will be grappling with some devastating news.
01:52You can see that they will pass the dust.
01:53Are you sure to do a red dream?
