00:00The Epistle of Paul to Titus, King James Version, read by Justin Bible.
00:07May God bless you with an unquenchable thirst for his holy word, the Bible.
00:13Titus, Chapter 1.
00:16Paul, a servant of God and an apostle of Jesus Christ, according to the faith of God's elect
00:22and the acknowledging of the truth which is after godliness, in hope of eternal life,
00:28which God, that cannot lie, promised before the world began,
00:32but hath in due times manifested his word through preaching,
00:36which is committed unto me according to the commandment of God our Savior,
00:40to Titus, mine own son, after the common faith, grace, mercy, and peace,
00:46from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ our Savior.
00:51For this cause left I thee in Crete, that thou shouldest set in order the things that are wanting
00:57and ordain elders in every city, as I had appointed thee.
01:00If any be blameless, the husband of one wife, having faithful children, not accused of riot
01:07or unruly, for a bishop must be blameless, as the steward of God, not self-willed, not soon
01:15angry, not given to wine, no striker, not given to filthy lucre, but a lover of hospitality,
01:24a lover of good men, sober, just, holy, temperate, holding fast the faithful word as he hath been
01:33taught, that he may be able, by sound doctrine, both to exhort and to convince the gainsayers.
01:40For there are many unruly and vain talkers and deceivers, especially they of the circumcision,
01:48whose mouths must be stopped, who subvert whole houses, teaching things which they ought not,
01:55for filthy lucre's sake.
01:58One of themselves, even a prophet of their own, said,
02:02The Cretans are all way liars, evil beasts, slow bellies.
02:09This witness is true.
02:11Wherefore rebuke them sharply, that they may be sound in the faith, not giving heed to Jewish
02:18fables and commandments of men that turn from the truth.
02:21Unto the pure, all things are pure, but unto them that are defiled and unbelieving is nothing
02:29pure, but even their mind and conscience is defiled.
02:33They profess that they know God, but in works they deny Him, being abominable and disobedient,
02:41and unto every good work reprobate.
02:50Titus chapter 2
02:52But speak thou the things which become sound doctrine, that the aged men be sober, grave,
03:01temperate, sound in faith, in charity, in patience.
03:06The aged women likewise, that they be in behavior as becometh holiness, not false accusers, not
03:14given to much wine, teachers of good things, that they may teach the young women to be
03:20sober, to love their husbands, to love their children, to be discreet, chaste, keepers at
03:27home, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the word of God be not blasphemed.
03:34Young men likewise exhort to be sober-minded.
03:37In all things showing thyself a pattern of good works, in doctrine showing uncorruptness,
03:44gravity, sincerity, sound speech, that cannot be condemned, that he that is of the contrary part
03:52may be ashamed, having no evil thing to say of you.
03:57Exhort servants to be obedient unto their own masters, and to please them well in all things,
04:03not answering again, not purloining, but showing all good fidelity, that they may adorn the
04:10doctrine of God our Savior in all things.
04:13For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men, teaching us that,
04:19denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly in this
04:27present world, looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God,
04:33and our Savior, Jesus Christ, who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity,
04:40and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works.
04:46These things speak, and exhort, and rebuke, with all authority.
04:52Let no man despise thee.
05:01Titus chapter 3
05:03Put them in mind to be subject to principalities and powers, to obey magistrates, to be ready
05:11to every good work, to speak evil of no man, to be no brawlers, but gentle, showing all meekness
05:19unto all men.
05:21For we ourselves also were sometimes foolish, disobedient, deceived, serving divers lusts
05:31and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful, and hating one another.
05:37But after that the kindness and love of God our Savior toward man appeared, not by works
05:43of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of
05:49regeneration and renewing of the Holy Ghost, which he shed on us abundantly through Jesus
05:56Christ our Savior, that, being justified by his grace, we should be made heirs according
06:02to the hope of eternal life.
06:05This is a faithful saying, and these things I will that thou affirm constantly, that they
06:11which have believed in God might be careful to maintain good works.
06:16These things are good and profitable unto men, but avoid foolish questions and genealogies
06:22and contentions and strivings about the law, for they are unprofitable and vain.
06:28A man that is an heretic, after the first and second admonition, reject, knowing that
06:35he that is such is subverted and sinneth, being condemned of himself.
06:40When I shall send Artemis unto thee, or Tychicus, be diligent to come unto me to Nicopolis, for
06:47I have determined there to winter.
06:49Father, bring Zenos the lawyer and Apollos on their journey diligently, that nothing be
06:54wanting unto them, and let ours also learn to maintain good works for necessary uses, that
07:00they be not unfruitful.
07:02All that are with me salute thee.
07:05Greet them that love us in the faith.
07:08Grace be with you all.
07:10Amen.
07:15The end of the Epistle of Paul to Titus, King James Version, read by Justin Bible.
07:24May God bless you with an unquenchable thirst for his holy word, the Bible.
