00:00Venezuela's acting president, Del Rodriguez, met with representatives of
00:03various industries in the Bolivar state as part of the second phase of the
00:07national pilgrimage for a peaceful sanctions-free country. In this scenario,
00:12the acting president reiterated that the second phase of the pilgrimage remains
00:16committed to achieving the lifting of sanctions that limit the nation's
00:20economy and the well-being of the population. In this regard, she urged U.S.
00:24President Donald Trump to heed the Venezuelan people's calls for an end to
00:28unilateral and coercive measures. Del Rodriguez also called for political
00:32coexistence based on diversity, as well as national unity in defense of the
00:36homeland and peace.
00:45We must do justice to Venezuela regarding the criminal blockade against the
00:50homeland. Not a single sanction should remain. We have made progress through
00:55diplomatic dialogue. But a strategic objective as a country must be to leave
01:03the sanctions so that we and our economy are no longer restricted. While reviewing
01:10the trade figures in a commercial area, I said that if we have achieved the
01:15economic growth we have in the last five years despite the blockade, just imagine
01:22what Venezuela could keep without sanctions.
01:31And Venezuela's acting president, Rodriguez, sent a direct message to the U.S.
01:36president demanding an end to sanctions affecting the whole country.
01:47I am sending a message to the president of the United States. We have respectful relations
01:54with the United States and through the diplomatic and cooperation agenda that we are developing
02:00between our countries, we are telling the U.S. president to listen to all Venezuelans.
02:08The Venezuelan people speak with one voice, and that voice says no more sanctions against Venezuela
02:16and the blockade against Venezuela. President Trump, we will not rise until Venezuela is free
02:24on sanctions that impose undue control over our industries and restrict the development of
02:33both public and private sectors, both public and private sectors.
02:39that they can develop more and more.
