00:04the caravan during the Great National Pilgrimage for a Peaceful Country Without Sancions,
00:08in the state of Fonso Ategui.
00:10In this context, the President of the National Assembly attributed the country's increased
00:14production to the efforts of oil industry workers, who have kept operations running despite
00:19the blockade.
00:21In this regard, Jorge Rodriguez highlighted that the country reached oil production of
00:251.2 million barrels in December 2025, which Venezuelans regard as a victory against the
00:31sanctions imposed by the U.S. government.
00:33The Venezuelan official also stated that these coercive measures have impacted all sectors
00:37of society, including the economy, health, education, and basic services, thereby directly
00:43affecting the well-being of the population.
00:52It is a remarkable achievement that Venezuela produced 1.2 million barrels in December
00:58last year.
00:59This was archived subtly through the hard work and titanic effort of our oil industry.
01:06But even if we couldn't, given the situation, the sanctions, and the conditions faced by other
01:12oil-producing countries, we would still have the world's largest oil reserves.
01:18What we should be striving for is to become the world's leading oil producer so that oil
01:25can be turned into hospitals, agricultural infrastructure, schools, and universities.
01:33It is not just about the oil industry.
01:35It is about revitalizing all economic activity in the state of Anzuategui and throughout Venezuela.
